Well, the camp worker in the office was very nice, and the bathroom was clean and smelled good. The pool looked nice. They knew we were coming for a while and couldn't manage to mow our site. This is more of a mobile home park than a campground, and residents need to take matters into their own hands and spend a day doing landscaping, because it's clear that the owner doesn't care. read more

Stopped here for a one night stay. Check in was a bit rough. Poor guy at the counter was standing in for someone who didn't show up. He had no idea how to use the computer. Luckily I had reserved and paid online. He was able to pull up a main screen where I saw my name and sight number. Pointed that out to him and told him we would just go to that site and come back later for our receipt. Went back to the office later and Mary was there. She was very pleasant and apologetic about the earlier situation. Asked how our site was, told her fine, but we were having issues getting our satellite signal. She promptly offered to move us to a different site. We went ahead and moved. Very much appreciated it. Bath and shower rooms are very nice and clean. They have a small loung area with tv, free wifi, book exchange. Very homey feeling. They also have a laundry room, pool and playground. Sites are close, but not on top of each other. Roads in the park are dirt/sand and sites are dirt with grass in between. Disappointed with the whole look and feel of this place. The price is pretty high for what you get. Okay for a one night stay, in your own RV. Pretty warm night tonight, so will be running the AC. So highway noise won't be an issue. They do offer a bit of a breakfast. They had an egg casserole, Belgian toaster waffles, Danishes and coffee. read more

I live here monthly, 50 amp $420.00. Quite, they have laundry and shower rooms . Good size lots. All of my hook ups are next to me. Arby's & McDonalds and 3 gas stations 3 miles down the road . Winn Dixie 10 miles away. Pot holes, roads need dirt or rock. The lake has trophy bass. No cable. Internet works best when you're close to the office. read more

After reading reviews we were skeptical. We needed to be near Tallahassee and all our regular places were booked so we decided to give it a try. Our check in was pleasant and welcoming. We asked for a spot away from the hwy. Not really sure what the problem was before, but we were pleasantly surprised. Nice, quiet,.clean and yes there are dirt roads and grass spots, but nice and level and plenty of room to put our slide out and park our car with our 34ft motorhome. We will definitely be stopping by again. We reccomend! read more

Slots are of adequate size, unpaved, typical Florida sandbar/tall grass/Spanish moss ambiance. Dated but adequate hook ups. Huge, mature shade trees. Park manager was pleasant and helpful. I was impressed with the bath and shower room decor, very attractive rustic wooden doors, ample stalls, generous anterooms in the showers. Park offers continental breakfast, with pastries and toaster waffles. Cool, comfortable lounge/game room. Someone else's kids were greatly enjoying the playground. Would have liked to use the pool, but it was dry and under repair (seems to be a common theme in their reviews). Moderate road noise, but not unduly disturbing. read more

This place is a DUMP! Dusty dirt roads in the park! We were located in the back near the park models where the full-time residents are and it was total trash back there! They drove fast kicking up dust, and one of them drove their Mule cart around the first night from 5-9:30 pm all around the park. The mule sounded like a big bumble bee buzzing around.... The only reason we stayed is because it was last minute and there were no other openings at the other parks...Dog poop everywhere! The people that worked there were nice but kinda strange... the Wi-Fi was only at the front office area and we had no consistent channels. They would fade in and out. We had about 4 channels during the day but they would freeze up and had about 2 channels at night... This place needs to kick out the permanent residents and clean the place up..very weird experience. read more

This "could" be a great KOA. Love the tall trees; however, The pool is green/black and stagnant. "West Nile" must not be a problem here. It is just beside the children's playground and it seems more people live here than RV ers. A suggestion would be, fill the pool and make a sandy volleyball court. read more

Made a reservation two weeks before intended stay. Schedules for radiation therapy for cancer were created afterwards and I called to cancel the reservation 4 days before my reservation. Website stated any cancellations within 72 hours of reservation might require a cancellation fee. The campground charged my CC the full amount on the day I made the reservation. They refused to credit my card for the cancellation. If you want to stay at a campground run by thieves and liars and subject your family and belongings to unscrupulous characters, Good Luck. I hope they get sued! read more

So, I've been coming here for FSU football weekends for many years. Some visits were better than others but this trip was disappointing. Hurricane Michael workers are staying here, and thank you for the work they are doing, but they have made this visit sub par. The restrooms are a disaster, and they weren't great to start with. They are up very late partying with each other leaving beer bottles and cans all over the place. Their work trucks and personal p/u trucks are parked everywhere. To top it all off my cabin smelled like something died in or under it. I hope the staff reels in these workers so it's enjoyable for everyone. read more

We have been here twice. The first time the pool was gross! It was November. This time it's October and the pool is nice and clean. Not that we are using it but it's something I noticed. The play ground is ok. My girls enjoyed playing on it but it could use an update. The sites are nice sizes. There is a small breakfast and coffee in the am at the center. I wish I could give it a 0. You can see that they took their KOA official reviews down. We stayed there a few months ago to find bed bugs and absolutely terrible customer service after finding these nasty creatures in our cabin. We were told we would get a check for our bedding as we weren't going to take a chance at bringing them home with us. The worst part was that they took ZERO ownership of the issue and blamed their exterminating company. BE WARNED this place is poorly kept, dirty, unsanitary, and has some very poor customer handling skills. read more

I had heard great things about KOAs and was sadly disappointed. The tent sites are right next to the interstate and it's very loud. Had to go buy earplugs to get any sleep while we were there. Stayed at the campground for a FSU game. Served it's purpose for a 2 night stay but I wouldn't stay there again. read more

It's an ok campground except the website lists amenities such as wifi and cable, but the catch is that you can only get those at the community room by the front office. Other than that the lots are fairly large and the people who work there are very friendly. read more

For an overnight stay it would have been okay, but it turned out to be longer for us. They only have a nightly rate and monthly rate, there are for more permanent residents than overnighters. The road is just sand and far from level. The spaces are close together. They say they have a free breakfast, but that is one serious joke. The staff are hit and miss. When we first arrived, the owner's son waited on us, but we had to wait for him to get off the phone. Then he did not know how to type or wait on us well. The next day we got to deal with another lady that was not so nice either. Told me we could have old space back and I told her we were being towed back in, instead she put us in a small space. So not the greatest representation for a KOA. My husband said they are considering not being a KOA anymore which is probably a good idea because they are not making a good representation for the brand. read more

Paid for storage with 50 amp service for the 2013- 2014 Seminole football seasons. After paying in full, the owner called and said they have a limited number of 50 amp services and wanted to move us to a 30 Amp. space. Manufacturer requires 50 Amps.for our RV. We arrived and they set us up on a space E-7... No fire ring, no picnic table, no cable and no WiFi like they advertised. We stayed the labor day weekend at an additional cost of $40.00 per night. Upon leaving, I stopped by the office and left keys to the rig in case of problems while storing, as the next game day is two weeks away. When we got home, 3 hours away, the owner called and said the we were to check out on the 2nd and yet the camper is still here, Please call. I called for the owner and left a message for her that we are storing it. Owner call and the games started. When we left, we turned A/C to 85 degrees, shut off all water and electric except a/c and refridgerator. Last night 9-9-13 the owner called and said the a/c was not allowed on that only the refridgerator allowed on. Storage is $30.00 per month dry and $90.00 with power. I paid $90.00 with power. They said I needed to pay $390.00 to run a/c. I am leaving to go elsewhere and getting a full refund. Place is also run down. Pool is nasty. No WiFI. No Cable. Tall grass and sand lots. Stopped there while running from Hurricane Irma. Looked at web site and called ahead. When we got there we were told it was a 2 night minimum@$42/night. No where was this posted or mentioned during several phone contacts. We protested but was told " it is policy" Very dirty place with very tight quarters, no services except water, sewer and ify electric. Irma was forecast ti come right over Tallahassee so we decided to depart after 1 night. We again asked for a refund on the unused night but were told no - reason given - again "policy" The owner stated that if they gave us a refund they would have to refund everyone that was leaving!! My newest " policy" is to avoid ALL Good Sam parks! If this place meet ANY minimum standards I would not want to be exposed to any other of the franchised parks. I think this was an absolute case of price gouging in a time of peoples misery. If that is indeed your policy I suggest you reexamine it! read more

This has to be one of the worse KOA's that we have visited. Our site was not level and on sand so we were not able to put down our leveling jacks. Tallahassee is the states capital and home to Florida State, it is not just a wide spot in the road. This campground is a disgrace to KOA. read more

I reserved well in advance for a planned five day stay, upon arrival on 3/29/2015 I was told that my reserved cabin was not available. As a result I was assigned to cabin 7. We set up the cabin shortly after arrival and ventured out. We returned in time for bed, shortly after laying down I woke itching. Upon inspection we found the cabin to be infested with BEDBUGS. I called the office and left a voice mail around 130 am. I called again around 730 and spoke with Katherine, she told me that the office opened at 8:00 am and that she would refund my stay when the office opened. No sign of Katherine at 8:00, she sent a staff member to open the office and set up breakfast, gave him zero information about my situation. He called her and was told to refund my stay, he had no idea how to perform the refund. Katherine's husband Dick came into the office and told that staff that Katherine was in the shower and would be over when she got out. The staff tries to call Katherine several times to ask for assistance but his calls go unanswered. Eventually (1 1/2 hours later) Katherine called the office to give refund instructions via telephone. I would suggest that you contact Jefferson County Department of Health (I filed a formal complaint) to see if their bedbug problem has been rectified before spending your money here. The pool was scheduled to open on 4/1 according to the website but was empty and in poor repair. The website indicates that there is wifi and cable but these accommodations are only available in the Rec room. The heat source was not working in cabin 7 so they placed a random space heater in the cabin. The front window of the cabin was in need of maintenance, it was very difficult to close (had to be pushed from the outside). read more
