This was my first time seeing the Orchard Park Library. It had a great vibe to it. The librarian…read moredesk is right in the round, in the center of the building. There is a Bills flag hanging proudly. There is also a seed library in the back entrance of the library before you walk in, which is great. There is a great kids section. When I went this little girl was playing and she kept saying to her mom, "Bye honey, I'm going to the store. Be back soon." I was cracking up. This library was also having a little book sale near the back entrance. Librarian was friendly. Great location. Great parking.

They also had a book sale going on where some of the books were 4/$1! The library has big shelves of fiction and non-fiction, and lower shelves for the kids. They have a big collection of local history as well as travel books and graphic novels. I like that the non-fiction sections are labeled on the top of the shelves by category. There are nice displays throughout the library. The library seemed very busy while we were there, but perhaps the book sale drew people in. There are a bunch of PCs and lots of places to sit, including comfy chairs, couches, and tables. They're spread out throughout the library so you can sit tucked away if you'd like to. Big parking lot and places to walk nearby too (like the caboose behind the library or the park across the street).

If you live in the Batavia area be sure to stop by, I love a library and like to get oit the…read moretypical books, audio books, movies, etc and i was surprised to gind out that friends of mine didn't realize they had new books and bestsellers, before you buy def check your local library! But also be aware that libraries have so much more these days. The Batavia branch has games you can borrow, stem kits for kids, a seed library! On top of that check out the events on their website or social media, they have so many free activities for adults and kids alike, from art activities to movie nights to so many more. We have been to paint nights for both adults and even my 1 year old, they had a cool baby race my daughter participated in, we gave been to trivia and always participate in their summer read program. Stop on by they have stuff for everyone!

This is a lovely, quaint local library with plenty of space, a coffee shop, research materials,…read moresoft squishy chairs, computer access and an absolutely fantastic children's section and family programs that my kids simply adore. While its definitely NOT the huge glass roofed facilities one finds in universities and big cities, its definitely a notable one of a kind place all it's own that I'm personally quite fond of. The staff is kind, helpful and polite and all in all this library offers incredible value to the community.

Inside, the library has light streaming in it and books everywhere. There is ample seating as well if you would like to study in a quiet setting. The librarians that I saw were very friendly and welcoming. They offered a variety of items for sale as well including books, CDs, DVDs. When I walked in, there was a bagged craft immediately there for all the kids who are interested in crafting based on books. Their children's section is also very large and provides some play items as well. There are many computers for use as well.

There's a large children's section including play area. Large collections of DVDs organized by genre (with some Blueray), CDs, non-fiction (which is very well labeled), teen and graphic novel sections, fiction, and new books called out separately. They also have a small room that's an ongoing book sale and prices were good. Librarians were friendly when I was there. I really like the elevated ceilings, decor, and size. I used to come here often 15 years ago and much hasn't changed since then but the library is still in good shape. Would come back here to work, study, or read a magazine.
