The LaSalle public library is located on Buffalo Ave in NIagara Falls . The building itself is beautiful . The library is immaculate, you can tell the staff take pride in what they do . This is not a large library , but does have a respectable selection of books and dvds . The children's book section is well stocked and I feel all children should have the experience while we are still fortunate enough to have local libraries . The second floor has some study rooms and computer rooms they are quiet and spacious . There is a nice enclosed "quiet" study room as well . I love all the old woodwork, just beautiful . I often visit to have a quiet place to do some work and appreciate having the perfect space so close to home . Hours have recently changed so you May want to call for the latest hours of operation . There is a children's computer room as well on the first floor with I believe three computers . Fun fact : scenes from the movie "Marshall" were filmed here .

There are quiet rooms, private areas, and large shareable rooms for any type of studying. The staff are amazing. They are so helpful and sweet. They will drop everything to assist you. The library also plays host to different events throughout the year. My favorite was during exam times they had therapy dogs in the library to help de-stress the students. Great place to be at NU.

I was there today March 24 at 11:15am your 2 millenial females with dark hair glasses and ponytails were sitting at the desk by the computers. They were gossiping about customers. Saying how they don't know the person but they feel like they are.... I went up to your dark hair guy at the desk by the front. He had glasses and a red sweatshirt. He refuses to do anything about it. He says I stand behind my coworkers. All I asked was for the behaviour to be more professional. Another blonde lady with glasses ( she was about my age. I'm 49) she hears the conversation and goes over to the desk and tells the millenial lady working about my complaint. I then hear the millenial lady say well you know she's a....the lady stops her and says, we should avoid saying anything else cause she might come over and yell at us. See this why people don't feel comfortable coming to the downtown library anymore. I've worked in Customer service the last 30 years of my life. I don't understand why employees in a Library get to behave so rudely?? At any of my jobs we would have been fired for it Please teach your staff some professionalism

They also offer disc golf and fishing poles to rent out for the week, as well as other items, but I wanted to note those two because you don't often see that offered. They also had a little section set up for older readers, or those who identify and/or like the Golden Girls esque vibe. I liked that a lot. They seem to have a great garden bed as well, and it will be really flourishing when the right season hits. Ample parking spaces.

Then I sit in the rocker and he plays with the toys they have for kids. The librarians are wonderful and remember his preferences and are always able to give advice if looking for a type of book and thier suggestions are spot on. The shelves have that familiar and inviting old book smell. The friendliest librarians you will ever find are awaiting your questions, and are more than willing to help you find your next book to read.

They have a small collection of multi media and lots of books though. The computers are a little slow. The book collection could be better but it's got most of the usual suspects. I had a chance to see the Niagara Falls New York library though and that place is massive! I wish the Canadian counterpart was even half as large. If you need some quite time to work this isn't a bad place to go. The neighbourhood can seems sketchy but honestly it's not that bad.

There is a area designed for story time that recessed into the floor where children can sit and watch the reader in comfort. They have plenty of internet stations to browse and play games, a good selection of current magazines and books to your hearts content. I don't come here often enough and I will try to change that as this library is still a important part of our community.

They are affiliated with LDS and have microfiche machines available to view genealogy materials sent from LDS headquarters. They offer free genealogy programs as well as tons of other programs for kids and adults. Their selection of books is great but the DVD selection is lacking. It's a nice, comfortable place to spend a rainy or wintery afternoon reading, logged on to a computer or doing genealogy research. They do have free wi-fi and there's always a puzzle in progress that you can add a piece to if you so desire. It's one of my favorite spots in Lewiston, I spend a lot of time there.

I grew up in a small town library not much bigger than your average Sunday school, so to be hit with such awe at the the vastness of a library- just, golly. I'd shout with excitement, but this is a library we're reviewing after all. There is a section devoted to kids, teens, computers, music, even coupons left by the community for the grabbing. The staff is very helpful, and I've never had a bad experience when visiting. They even sell gently read books in the entry way for dirt cheap! Sure, they ask that you turn off your phone, as to not disturb the peace, but take a chance and escape into the palace of books...or just put the thing on vibrate.
