There are quiet rooms, private areas, and large shareable rooms for any type of studying. The staff are amazing. They are so helpful and sweet. They will drop everything to assist you. The library also plays host to different events throughout the year. My favorite was during exam times they had therapy dogs in the library to help de-stress the students. Great place to be at NU.

Even though I haven't lived in Kenmore in nearly a decade, I still find myself visiting this library whenever I'm home seeing family. During my most recent visit, I actually stopped by twice to use the computers for some business I needed to take care of as I hadn't brought my laptop with me. While I still maintain my Buffalo & Erie County Public Library Card, I did not have it with me. Not too worry though as the librarians were so kind to set me up with a temporary/guest pass to use the computers. During previous visits I've used the glass rooms/study areas to really focus as they are a bit more private and definitely reduce noise (not that it's a noisy library). The book selection is decent and I'm honestly so impressed by the number and variety of classes, workshops, and programs this library hosts. It is such a hub for learning, creativity, and community!!! Five stars!!! Libraries are so magical and this one is especially near and dear to my heart :)

I approached the desk and asked the women where I could find one. They looked at me like I was crazy and said "we don't have that, I don't even know what that is" I opened their resource binder to show them that they did in fact have the cd drive. They followed it up by looking in their system and saying "well it's lost". They were not very friendly during this interaction and I'm disappointed with their lack of knowledge. This is a fine basic library if you want to hop on a computer quickly or checkout a book, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything more than that. Kind of disappointing because I've been to some great, helpful, friendly libraries and the Kenmore location fell short.

The library has a big selection of audio books and a good selection of DVDs too. In the non-fiction section, they have signs to point out where each collection starts. They also have a big selection of large print, and a big collection of test prep books and some job resource books too. I really like the nice displays that they have within the library and in the hallway too! Lots of places to sit and work within the library too.

I was there in early May when everything is just starting. They had a little library book sale and I picked up a David Sedaris book for a quarter. There is a great children's section. There is also a wonderful remembrance area for Flight 3407, in the back. This library also had a cute Sherlock Holmes display case that was donated to the library. This library is clean and beautifully maintained. The librarians were friendly as well. There is a large parking lot. For a Friday afternoon it was quite busy. They had a great work area for people wanting a quiet space.

I wanted to round up the rest of the Harry Potter books and movies for my Draco-Malfoy-obsessed…read moreteen before libraries potentially start closing again in these pandemic orange-zone times. :-( I went online to the library catalog, and noticed that the Clarence branch had multiple copies of both the books and the movies. Plus they were open later, which is convenient for us. So after work, off we went. The Clarence Library has plenty of parking in a big lot, which was light-and-bright on a cold, dark night. As soon as you walk in, you can see the full expanse of the vaulted, open space. It is a nice-sized library, with well-marked sections. Movies are to the right, adult books to the left, teen and children materials in the back, periodicals in the back-right corner, with all the other sections you'd expect to find at a library somewhere in between. There were computer workstations spread out in pod-like setups throughout the space, a few together in each pod, and some chunks of seating areas too. It took me a minute to find my Harry Potter items, as the books were not in Youth or YA, but rather in a separate "Series" section in the middle of the library. And the movies were in a separate "Family Viewing" section, too. But a friendly librarian helped me find everything that I needed, which was all in stock. Clarence is a very nice, bright, inviting library. When we need something and the hours/availability are convenient again at Clarence Library, we'll be back! :-)

I stopped here to check it out as part of the passport stamp collection the library is running. The passport stamp, which is every library is handing out a unique sticker and after visiting all 37 libraries in Erie County, and if you are the first 1,000, will receive a gold library card. It goes from May 1 through Aug. 31., 2026. I love that the local garden club made a little dish garden. It brightened up the space. I was there on a Tuesday close to 6pm, when they closed, but the library was bustling. It was great to see.

This library is right next to a Spot Coffee, so definitely a very plausible idea to grab a good book and walk next-door to enjoy a few pages over some joe. The library space is light-and-bright. It is a long, narrower space with computers and some seating down the middle. All of the usual sections you'd expect to find in a typical library are here, just with a smaller selection than the larger branches. Fiction, nonfiction, periodicals, children and YA, and a decent size set of shelves for DVDs/Bluerays; it's all here on a smaller scale. The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System as a whole recently permanently waived hold fees. So if you're regularly near the Eggertsville-Snyder branch, keep in mind if they don't have what you want it is free to have it sent here on hold for you. I LOVE the holds service, and use it regularly and very reliably at a different branch. I'm sure it would be the same great service here. Our fam' are regular patrons at the public library. For starters, you can't beat free! Beyond that, our library system has such an excellent collection of any media we want or need. The Eggertsville-Snyder branch location is just another neighborhood option to be engaged with all of the wonderful things, both products and services, that our beloved library system has to offer.

I was at Island Park, which is behind the library when I remembered I had a book in the car that I had to return so popped in here. The librarian behind the desk was very nice and wanted to make sure I was aware of the new rule about books being 'quarantined' for 72 hours before being checked back in. Good to know incase you look on line and think your book hasn't been properly returned. I already knew it but still nice that they point it out. Side note, the 72 hours will not make your book late if you go beyond the return date. As I said, very small but comfortable and if the book you want isn't there you can always order it. Just limits your 'browsing' for a book. Still worth visiting.

They are affiliated with LDS and have microfiche machines available to view genealogy materials sent from LDS headquarters. They offer free genealogy programs as well as tons of other programs for kids and adults. Their selection of books is great but the DVD selection is lacking. It's a nice, comfortable place to spend a rainy or wintery afternoon reading, logged on to a computer or doing genealogy research. They do have free wi-fi and there's always a puzzle in progress that you can add a piece to if you so desire. It's one of my favorite spots in Lewiston, I spend a lot of time there.
