The trip lasted for almost 45 mins and John took us through many area of Duluth and Superior. He shared details about every area, rich history and how it is today. The best part we liked about him is his liver to serve the customer. He was always looking to find an opportunity that will make the tour more memorable. He saw that a ship was going to the bridge and he timed it properly to ensure we can see and take as many pictures of the ship crossing the bridge from true 360.

In a time when air travel can be a huge pain and it seems that so many other airports have forgotten the customer experience the Duluth International Airport is taking a different approach. From the time you arrive at Duluth International Airport you are greeted with ample parking including covered parking in the parking ramp. There is also a covered Skywalk from the parking ramp to the beautiful James L. Oberstar terminal building. Inside, the terminal is bright and open with a whole wall of windows allowing sunlight. The lines at check-in always are quick and easy for dropping off any checked baggage and the staff is friendly. Then, it's time to go upstairs to the security checkpoint which may be the fastest security line I have ever used in an airport. In the gate area there is comfortable seating prior to boarding as well as charging stations for your electronics. There is also the new Club DLH available for a charge for those who need to do some work or some quiet relaxation prior to your flight. Sometimes it is a little more expensive to fly into Duluth as opposed to MSP, but if you can make it work, it's always worth it. Here's hoping the cost differential of the drive down 35 continues to get closer so that more people can take advantage of all that Duluth International Airport has to offer!

However, the water in the women's shower (which there is only one of, it made it hard for our girls group of 4 to shower in a timely manner) is so hot you feel scalded on the coolest setting.... They need to turn down the water heater before someone gets seriously hurt. The spots aren't overly large, but the park is quiet! There isn't a lot of shade, but you can sit by the lake at a bench in the shade. And then, there is the elephant in the room, who puts trail cams up on all their trails? This place must be high crime that they need so many. If you need somewhere to stay in a pinch like we did, and you have an RV with a shower, this is a decent place to stay. But, it's not a destination stay.

Utensils, toiletry, towels, dish soap, etc. There is a charcoal grill, just bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. There is also a stove/oven with refrigerator if you want to do more in-depth cooking. TV with DVD player supplied for those rainy days. There is a full bathroom, albeit fitting for a smaller cabin, it worked wonderfully for us. Bonus: very clean and well-maintained cabins. The communal fire pit at the front of the resort is an awesome place to get to know the other visitors. We were down there every night getting to know people, it was a nice way to rewind before bed. Walk down the street to Emily's Restaurant. They allowed us to bring our dogs to the front patio and dine out there. The food is EXCELLENT. Stop by the candy store on the way back.

The breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed meeting other guests as well. The table setting was very homey but also reminiscent of a nice restaurant. Great coffee and customer service. I would highly recommend. I can't wait to come back.
