Most new parks I'm introduced to by my dad who walks anywhere and everywhere with our dog, Cooper. We were both feeling like an evening stroll and an ice cream and he suggested going down to Bronte - an area that is really nice, but not one I often go to! We parked at a waterfront park which seemed like the trail was very elevated but as we walked down I noticed a sign that said this spot was okay for swimming. I was a bit hesitant to believe that because...you know..lake Ontario? Swimming? Boy was I pleasantly surprised! This beach is adorable, well maintained, the perfect spot for an evening picnic. The shoreline was sandy and not full of rocks like many other beaches in this area. There is an area on the opposite side of the pier that is more rocky, but you could still sit on larger rocks or bring a chair on that side as well. The trail itself isn't too long, so if you're looking for more of a hike this probably isn't your jam.

I enjoy sitting on the benches and taking in the beautiful views of Lake Ontario. The park offers various trails suitable for everyone. It's also great for walking dogs and letting kids play around. Visited Kelso for the fall chairlift ride. Visited weekend of October 14-15, the trees were still…read morefairly green. We paid online for the ticket, which is about $2 cheaper vs in person. However, you still have to go pick up physical copy of the ticket from the booth. Once you arrive, they will also request you pay for the park entrance $10/person. As soon as you enter, if you park at the first parking lot (located to the right) this is closest to the course challenge area, plenty of picnic area, washrooms as well. If you continue to drive ahead, there is another parking which is very close to the chairlift area. Pick up your ticket and get in line. Along the way, there's options for food & drinks. There's seating area with a bonfire. The chairlift ride itself was only 10 mins or less. Once up there, go exploring a, following a route for a hike, the further you drift away the less people you see but be careful! Keep children close, there are plenty of area which are steep cliffs. It can be very dangerous. There are signs all around which was good to see. The hike was so peaceful, amongst the trees, It's maintained well. We did often feel like we may be lost so stay vigilant, the area is large. The last ride up was 5pm which means they stay ensuring everyone is getting back down. we waited in line for about 15-20 mins. Staff was wonderful, they were cheerful, answered all of our questions. Tips: don't loose your ticket, you need it to go back down. Wear proper gear, it was cold!

There are plenty of fun playhouses and an apparatus for kids to play and have fun. Adults can spent time strolling around and enjoying the greenery. There are benches and places to sit if you want to people-watch. It housed a ton of ribfest vendors. I can see why many events end up being held here. It's a perfect place to have fun and relax. Parking can be a bit of a problem if there is an event. I had first thought about parking at the Port Credit Library lot, but it was full. Side street parking was crazy. I ended up landing a spot at the Port Credit GO and walking over to the park. I'd love to come back to this park, unwind, and see what it's like without the ribfest activities happening. I suspect that I should have an easier time finding parking. (273)

Erindale Park is located near Dundas and Missisauga road. It hugs the University of Toronto's Missisauga Campus (formerly Erindale Campus) and is a stone's throw away from the Mississauga golf and country club. The park is bifurcated by the Credit River which lends to the spectacular natural beauty of this place. You almost forget you're in a city populated almost entirely by customized Honda Civics and urban sprawl. I think it's a great place for a jog, a picnic, or "a wander" with a digital SLR. There are also built in BBQs for your convenience. And of course, because it's in Mississauga, there is a massive parking lot greeting you as you enter. Hurray! Obligatory Title Pun: Take a walk in the PARK! Menu Readability: Ain't no menus up in here. Need to mention: I wanted the FTR for this place but Myrem D beat me to it. (varies) The sandy area is quite large, lot's of room to spread out. The water is pretty clean, and is a nice temperature. You can also rent paddle boats and canoes and such for additional fees. They also have a large water slide for the kids to go on. Unfortunately, for some strange reason the day we went it was closed which disappointed the kids. This is a nice clean area to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and can enjoy the beach. 4/5

There are multiple parks and boating areas within the space they are each clearly labeled so its easy to meet up or give directions. I saw people swimming in the lake water for me its a no the waters arent that clear where people are allowed to swim and there was a lot of Canadian geese swimming in the area that people swim.
