I see Kerri at this office for pelvic floor PT since I had a pretty hard birth that caused quite a bit of prolapse. My lower back, hips and core have been weak due to the multiple pregnancies as well as prior injuries so my pelvic floor doesn't have much support. Kerri has taught me all the important exercises that target tiny support muscles I've neglected for years and I feel myself finally getting stronger. I wasn't sure I'd be able to do much with the pain and aches that was often debilitating and kept seeming to pop up on different locations but Kerri is definitely a pro and I'm excited about the progress we've been making! I've been to many PTs before for different ongoing injuries and Kerri is by far my favorite. The office is also clean, spacious and I like that treatment areas are more private than in some other offices. Though my interactions with others is minimal, everyone else I've engaged with has been super friendly and efficient. read more

Need to work on the communication. While standing at the Reception they couldn't find a single appointment with my therapist in 4 weeks. They suggest I shall opt in for a waitlist if something opens up, that's it. Since I joined the waitlist, I started getting messages with the availability almost every other day. Wondering how come there was not a single slot available few days back and now flooded with availability. Guys be genuine don't make fake appointments which you can't keep track of. Being a previous soccer player at the University level, I've had quite a bit of exposure to physical therapy and strength and conditioning at quite a high level. Mandie Majerus at LWPT raises the bar in these areas. I suffered a hamstring strain that I attempted to rehab on my own. That was a mistake. As soon as I started to work with Mandie Majerus, her knowledge and skillset was clear. We started with a very accurate assessment which led to a highly effective physical therapy plan. This plan was updated weekly based on progress. Before I knew it, I was back on a jogging program that far exceeded my expectations on speed of recovery as well as effectiveness of exercises. Above all, she is highly personable and kind. Now I am gearing up to get back into snowboarding this season thanks to her. Communication is terrible. They kept switching my appointment around and then kept switching around the actual therapists. After sending multiple emails to me about confirming my appointment, on the day of the appointment they call and say it's been canceled and say that it's my fault for not answering their calls about how they want to move my appointment again. I have been living with back and leg pain since December 31st when I herniated a disc in my lower back. Sitting was difficult and my favorite hobbies, skateboarding and yoga, were out of the question. When COVID hit, I had to stop seeing my chiro and things just got worse. I started seeing Jessica Pare at LWPT at the end of May. I worked with her two sessions a week and during every session she was incredibly encouraging and supportive. She had a plan of action right away, we worked hard, and I could see real growth every single session. My last weekly session with her was last week and today, on my 30th birthday, I went back to the skatepark. I know I will be living with intermittent pain forever, but Jessica gave me a plan for handling it and moving forward. Everyone at LWPT is incredible and I cannot recommend them enough. read more

I just finished 3.5 months of PT at their Houghton location. I started going just after they opened. While I'm happy to be done, I also will miss seeing the staff twice a week. I worked with Kelly McGivern who was very personable and friendly. She let me ask lots of questions and explained how the various exercise were meant to help in my recovery. She explained the various exercises in ways that I could understand and made my take home exercises "do-able" and not too overwhelming. Nick and Wendell at the front desk were always very friendly and welcoming. Matt and his wife Kelli were very engaging as well. I'm planning to stop in and say hello to them all because I enjoyed my time with them all so much. The space itself is very nice and new. Modern and classy decor. Everything is always very clean. After many months of limping around on a bum knee I went in to specialist who recommended this place. It took a few months of sessions every other week but Jordan got me out on the hiking trails again with much less pain and not having to take Tylenol every few hours. I've gotten to work with Mandie Majerus at Lake Washington PT for a few different injuries, and she's been incredible every time. I'm a mountain biker, trail runner, and skier and have seen Mandie for both injury rehab and to deal with sports-related pain affecting my performance. Megan at Lake Washington physical therapy is an excellent physical therapist. She paired me up with the right exercise program, set me up with the app and sent me exercises with videos that demoed how to do them. Her positive and encouraging style was instrumental in keeping me on the path to healing. She was helpful in crystallizing my thinking about what the most holistic treatment plan should be for me between the various providers like chiropractic etc. In addition she made important referrals to surgeons that worked out very well. The facility itself is very good, they have more unique ideas and equipment and exercises than can be believed. On the rare occasions when Megan has been on vacation the other therapists have filled in very ably; they're also very good. read more

In February 2019 I fell on the ice and injured my shoulder. Unfortunately I also ended up with frozen shoulder. I was directed to Lake Washington Physical Therapy by my Orthopedic doctor. Jordan Bork PT, DPT, CSCS, CFSC was excellent from start to finish. He put me immediately at ease with both his obvious experience/expertise and his engaging personality. Jordan helped me to understand what was actually wrong with my body and how to help get back to full mobility as quickly as possible. Keep up with the homework, listen, and have some fun conversations while healing. Jordan is sharp and knows what he's doing. I hope I never need to see him again ;) . Being active is really important for me. I love to run, bicycle, ski, and hike but my hip and knee were chronically sore. Mandie Majerus at Lake Washington PT quickly identified the issues causing my pain and worked with me to improve my positioning during certain motions, strengthening specific muscles and loosening specific ligaments to completely relieve the pain. Furthermore, my ski technique improved and my core got stronger in all activities. Over the years I've worked with several PT clinics and this is definitely one of the best. I made an appointment for a gait analysis and Ben, the owner, spent quite a bit of time helping me get the right pair of running/workout shoes for my needs. I am convinced that they are wizards here. All of the PTs here really know their stuff and the front desk staff is very helpful as well. I've been elsewhere for PT and this is absolutely the best. I see Jess every week - originally for what I thought was run-of-the-mill hip pain/weakness exacerbated by marathon training, but she figured out that it was more serious and referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. It turned out that I needed hip surgery - Jess and a PT student actually came and *observed* the surgery! She talked to the surgeon on the spot to come up with a recovery protocol for me based on what they observed in my joint. She went above and beyond to make everything go well. The best part - I'm recovering ahead of schedule and Jess and her (sometimes evil, but always doable) exercises definitely are a big contributing factor to that. I'm going to be back out running before I know it! The atmosphere is so uplifting as well. The floor plan is open, so it feels very friendly and less like a medical environment. Shockingly, I've really come to look forward to my weekly appointments. The goal is, of course, to eventually phase-out of PT, but if/when that happens, I'm actually going to miss coming here. read more

I had the wonderful opportunity to be an intern and shadow the physical therapists at Lake Washington Physical Therapy for 2 months this past summer. I was a bit nervous on my first day because I was worried that maybe being a PT was not what I thought it was going to be. This stupid feeling quickly went away, right when I walked into the clinic. I was greeted by Matt (who I would be shadowing), as well as all the other PTs at LWPT. Each and every one of them made an effort to get to know me throughout my stay, and they also shared insight about the PT field. Every single one of them are knowledgeable. Whether it was between patients, or typing up paperwork, they answered every question I asked, encouraged me, and challenged me to think on my own.I felt comfortable to be myself in front of all the staff. I never felt dumb asking a question or joking around. Matt greeted every person with a genuine smile and a firm handshake. He somehow remembered every conversation he had with every person he would treat and followed up appointment after appointment about what was happening in their lives. I could tell that they really appreciated it. He explained what he was doing and why he was doing it to the clients, so I really benefited from it! I followed Matt 99% of the time I was there, but all the other PTs were the same: they were always smiling. The only time I didn't see them with a smile was when they were in their desk working on paperwork..and it was because they were so focused on typing! Furthermore, LWPT not only focuses on their business, but the community as well. They are always taking part in local community events, charities, etc around Kirkland. Hard working, genuinely caring, and looking outward instead of inward is how I would describe LWPT. I am grateful that I had the chance to see how great being a PT can be from this wonderful place, and hope to model the PTs that work here when I become a PT! read more

I have been seeing Grant for over a year now after a rotator cuff incident playing basketball. Therapy helped me to continue working out but when I could not get back to basketball shape I went to see a surgeon. I ended up getting a SLAP tear surgery. I stayed with Grant after the surgery and he was very clear with the progression of recovery and continued to help with exercises to ease me back into weight lifting and sports. During the process I worked with Maddie (spelling?) as well and she didn't miss a beat when Grant was full booked. Grant has now moved to Minnesota but they have multiple competent therapists at this location. Only problem is trying to get an appointment can be tough. read more

I am a very active guy, I spend a lot of time climbing, skiing and trail running. My body is usually pretty resilient, but when I suddenly had acute knee pain a few weeks before my trip to Patagonia, I was beginning to think that I was going to have to cancel my climbing plans, or at least dial back my expectations severely. Mandie Majerus at Lake Washington PT came to the rescue and salvaged my trip. Her diagnosis and treatment were pretty much spot-on, and with the stretching and taping "regiment" she prescribed for me, my knee pain diminished significantly within days - and, over the following month, eventually disappeared all together. As a result, I was able to have a successful trip and climbed some cool stuff in Argentina. Thanks Mandie! One of the things I liked most about Mandie was that she took her time figuring out what might be the problem - without jumping to conclusions. Robert (Bob) is my physical therapist and he is younger so he was easy to get along with and relate to. He found out what was giving me pain faster than any other person I've seen. And I can say that I've seen a few people for lower back/hip pain. He didn't need any X-rays, just a few sessions to see how I responded. I think I've been seeing him for 2 months at max and I'm confident with his treatments. I have Boeing insurance so visits weren't too expensive. They took a week or two to process though. Everyone there is polite and friendly. It is a fairly small space but they definitely make it work. 10/10 would recommend Robert! read more

I am a sports medicine physician in the community, and I've always been very happy with the excellent care that Lake Washington PT provides. They are thoughtful in their treatment plans, and are excellent at communicating both with patients but also with other care providers In addition to being great therapists, they are also wonderful community leaders. They bring in speakers from the community to help educate therapists in the area, which are well attended by other PTs and chiropractors in the area. I have had a headache issue that has plague me for over a year. After visits to several doctors, it was determined due to computer and TV overuse, the muscles strain from my neck were being overstrained. I was referred over to Lake Washington Physical Therapy and couldn't have been happier. Matt has been great, and the new location in Houghton is very convenient. Appointment scheduling is accommodating, and I never seem to have to wait for my visits. More than enough time is spent not only discussing my issues, but also various treatment options. It seems lake Washington PT has created a very loyal group of acupuncturist, chiropractors, massage therapist, orthopedic surgeons and clients. I was provided several recommendations for Lake Wa PT, in fact no other clinic was ever mentioned in my search for the right fit. These recommendations came from All over, from as far as Renton to Bellevue to several in Kirkland. Lake WA PT was great! All the physical therapist were friendly, knowledgeable, intelligent, had creative solutions that I felt were outside the "regular box" and my therapist Nicole didn't waste my time while I was there. I have done physical therapy where I spent most the time with an aid- not the case here. You will be spending your time with your physical therapist. Lake WA PT has no shortage of friendly staff either. My questions and requests were always answered and taken care of quickly- even once I was rehabilitated and was no longer needing physical therapy. I had a very tricky schedule between work and children and they did there very best to accommodate my schedule. I give 5 stars and would recommend it to family friends and neighbors. read more

All of the staff at LWPT genuinely care about about their patients' well-being and health. The office staff are efficient, and their systems for scheduling and communication include modern technology. The therapists go out of their way to explain options and the course of treatment to whatever level you'd like. I found that if I had a Dr. appointment the day before my PT, my therapist was always in the know, and able to discuss how the treatment regime would be affected. This indicates a great working relationship with the referring doctors. I know that LWPT is the 'go-to' PT for many athletes in my area. read more

LWPT is amazing - truly amazing! The physical therapists are fantastic - I've seen both Ben and Heidi a number of times. Each time I get injured, they patch me back up. They even get me to do the exercises at home by making them interesting and not overwhelming. (I'm kind of lazy - this is a miracle.) After a bad first experience at another physical therapy place (unrelated to LWPT), I was astonished by the quality of care and depth of knowledge the PTs possess. And they're kind and funny so fun to work with. Interestingly, they also have a bit of retail. If you buy sneakers from them, LWPT contributes a portion of the purchase price to charity - but the shoes are the same price as in any store so that comes directly out of their profits. Kind, caring, humorous - and good music is always playing in the background. What more could you ask for? read more

If you absolutely have to go here, make sure you document (with video) what they tell you the cost will be. After asking specifically what the cost to me would be. After listening in while the front desk called my insurance company. I STILL received a bill several months later. What the amount was for is a mystery. When I disputed the bill they just fired back with their 'financial policy' and my signature on it -- at the time, after receiving an assurance of what the cost to me would be, I signed it without knowing I was being deliberately mislead. These guys are wonderful! I have never been to a physical therapy business like this one and I have been to a lot! They are very caring, personal, creative, and professional. They cater to YOUR needs. They won't follow a strict by the books fix it method- they fix it and create it in a way that it works for the individual. I saw Ben Wobker, but I can tell that all the therapist there are great quality therapist. They are very community driven as well as have a lot of educational functions there to help the general population and professionals continue learning about how to help themselves or others more. They are always timely, willing to explain, and so much more. I am a good athlete so they prescribed various exercises, but since they knew I could manage the exercises on my own Ben always did manual therapy on me. I have never had a therapist willing to do that each session before. And that was what was the most help for me and a big reason why I continued coming for an extended period of time or else I probably would have gotten a consult and been on my way. Front desk/assist people are very helpful as well! They have great hours for any type of schedule and a clean and tidy place. read more

These people can't keep track of their own book keeping. My husband came 1 time paid his co pay on the spot and then began receiving statements in the mail claiming he still owes for a co pay. I paid the statement and then canceled his future appointment because we felt ripped off. They then charged us for cancelling the appt and then sent us to collections. Thanks a lot for nothing! This is the BEST physical therapy facility I have ever been to and I have been to a LOT over the past 15 years. I see Heidi Biehl and she knows her stuff like no one! Professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Then you add in the other friendly and hard working staff members like Tiffany and Josh - always have bright smiles on their faces and are both always eager to offer assistance. All of these factors combined make this an enjoyable place to be especially when most of the clients are typically experiencing or recovering from some kind of trauma or pain. The clinic itself is always spotless and well maintained - the office is very organized with great schedule reminders via emails, texts, etc. Also, the print-outs of your schedule are handy and easy to read as are the PT exercise handouts they give you for your homework. I will definitely be referring this place to my spine doctors (for other patients) and to any family/friends who may need PT down the road. read more

Jessica is my therapist at Lake Washington. She is very effective because she correctly diagnoses the cause of the problem. Her touch is gentle, yet very effective. I went to her for a knee problem and stiff neck and shoulder. She got rid of both problems. She also took care of my husband's shoulder, knee, back, and shoulder problems. Went in and spent a little less than an hour with a therapist there, and billed $90 for a full hour, which I paid. Wasn't convinced of the value then, but really got angry when I was then billed an additional $210 "adjustment" for a first time patient fee (which I still haven't paid and never will). I never would have agreed to the hour of therapy if they would have quoted me that price, and this blatant money grab just seems slimy. Avoid at all costs. read more

I came to Ben Wobker with a very painful low back/glute issue. I had seen several professionals prior but Ben was the first to identify the root of the issue and offer effective pain relief.
