Love this pizza. Reminds me of pizzas I've. Had up North. The touch of sweetness in the sauce seals the deal for me!

I placed a…read moreto-go order for the first time, and the young lady who took my order over the phone was completely rude. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe it was just a busy Friday. However, when I came in, the place was practically empty, and her attitude was the same still rude and dismissive. I didn't catch her name, but she had brown hair clipped up with a claw and was wearing camo Crocs. If this is the kind of service I'll be receiving moving forward, I'll have no problem discontinuing my recommendations for this place and taking my business elsewhere. Ordered my usual Italian meatball sub and it was good per usual so just a bad seed it seems.

I would say, with a couple of small improvements, this could be a pretty good place…read more First off. Calling yourself an Italian Restaurant is a very big misleading statement. I would say you are a mid-size town café. I come to this conclusion because you don't get some very basic culinary fundamentals to call it an Italian Restaurant. Pre-cooking pasta is okay if you do it properly. Biggest point: there was no salt in the water while cooking the pasta. This is a must to add flavor; otherwise, it is very bland and tastes overcooked. Batch cooking pasta is done at 65% cooked, proportioned, and refrigerated. Then, when a customer orders it, you drop it into "Salted Boiling Water" to finish cooking it. Next, you can use frozen meatballs as long as you put them in spaghetti sauce at least 12 hours beforehand, so they don't have a frozen meat taste. Follow these suggestions, and it will quickly become a number-one seller as long as it stays reasonably priced. Last point: clean up the flea-market look in your dining room. There has to be a better layout that doesn't have a huge tub of Lance Crackers as your first impression. The help was friendly. The Food was hot.

The truffle mushroom pizza is outstanding...easily the best pizza around! We've also really enjoyed the custom pasta dishes, which are always delicious, and we appreciate how flexible the kitchen is in catering to specific preferences. A special mention to Sophie, our server, who did a fantastic job--friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We'll definitely be back.

What we got: *Chicken parmesean sandwich - this was massive! My husband got this and had half the first day, and I had half the second day as I liked his dish better than mine. This was very flavorful, could have used a little more tomatoes as that was overshadowed with all the other flavors of chicken, cheese, and pesto, but still oh so good. The fries that were served with the sandwich are nothing special, they are a shoestring fry, and I prefer thicker and more flavorful fries. *Bolognese - this was my dish, and I did not think it was as good as the reviews have suggested. It might be better fresh at the restaurant, but to me, it was just a very oily meat spaghetti type dish with thick noodles. For me, it needed more tomato flavoring vs the oil flavor that stood out. The meatballs were very good, though. My husband liked this dish more than me, so he was good with trading dishes the second day. Overall, we did enjoy what we ordered. We felt this was a good first impression, but we want to try more menu items made fresh at the restaurant when we have the chance.

It's certainly closer to my house (always a plus) and in my opionion, has easier parking (compared to the mothership). Don't get me wrong, I would definitely brave the Mama Ricottas parking lot to dine there... it's just nice not to have to worry about parking (I know, I'm getting old). Went here to celebrate a birthday and was so pleased with our experience. Staff and servers were super friendly and attentive to water, bread, pacing.... all boiling down to a great dining experience and delicious food. Since it was a birthday celebration, we started with some cocktails and moved to wine during the meal. The food itself is a smaller/concept menu, but same great food. I ventured away from my usual MR's go-to: Penne brocoli & chicken and went Ravioli that night - so good! Don't judge me, but we had 4:30pm reservations. Which made us one of the first tables (we weren't the first!) seated on the Saturday we visited. The entire dining room filled up within the hour so I'm so glad we had the time slot that we decided on. Got home after a great experience around 7pm, which was amazing (again- I am getting old).

Food: Unless you are allergic to dairy, not getting the mozzarella presentation appetizer with the heirloom tomatoes and peppadew peppers stuffed with goat cheese is CRIMINAL lol. It is that good. We also split the meatballs and spaghetti which was fantastic as well. Service: Attentive with refills and perfectly timed when we needed her. Knowledgeable about the menu and she made the experience even more enjoyable. Side note: we ordered the single serving of the spaghetti and meatballs to split. They not only split the dish into two separate plates but didn't charge us for it- commendable. Next time I'm back in Charlotte this place will be first on my list to eat at.
