I've been a regular customer here for a while and have never had any issues until today. I placed a to-go order for the first time, and the young lady who took my order over the phone was completely rude. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe it was just a busy Friday. However, when I came in, the place was practically empty, and her attitude was the same still rude and dismissive. I didn't catch her name, but she had brown hair clipped up with a claw and was wearing camo Crocs. If this is the kind of service I'll be receiving moving forward, I'll have no problem discontinuing my recommendations for this place and taking my business elsewhere. I would say, with a couple of small improvements, this could be a pretty good place. First off. Calling yourself an Italian Restaurant is a very big misleading statement. I would say you are a mid-size town café. I come to this conclusion because you don't get some very basic culinary fundamentals to call it an Italian Restaurant. Pre-cooking pasta is okay if you do it properly. Biggest point: there was no salt in the water while cooking the pasta. This is a must to add flavor; otherwise, it is very bland and tastes overcooked. Batch cooking pasta is done at 65% cooked, proportioned, and refrigerated. Then, when a customer orders it, you drop it into "Salted Boiling Water" to finish cooking it. Next, you can use frozen meatballs as long as you put them in spaghetti sauce at least 12 hours beforehand, so they don't have a frozen meat taste. Follow these suggestions, and it will quickly become a number-one seller as long as it stays reasonably priced. Last point: clean up the flea-market look in your dining room. There has to be a better layout that doesn't have a huge tub of Lance Crackers as your first impression. The help was friendly. The Food was hot. read more

Ordered take-out; chicken parmigiana dinner, eggplant parmisiana dinner and lasagna. Chicken parm = bite sized chicken pieces baked with marinara sauce and mozzarella (never ate chicken parmesan prepared this way before) Eggplant parm = 2 slices of fried Eggplant without any sauce or cheese even though the menu described the dish as deep fried, baked under mozzarella cheese with meat sauce or marinara sauce. when I called the restaurant and explained what we got, the person who answered the phone said if I wanted cheese I should have asked for cheese. Then transferred me to another person whom I again described what we got, she then said she was going to ask the manager about it. She then said bring back the food and we will make it again. I had just had to drive 15 mins to pick up the food and drove home with the food. I declined to drive another 15 mins back to the restaurant. Lasagna = unremarkable. No value whatsoever, certainly not worth the $33.76 and 30min round trip drive. read more

New to the area. Literally live not even a mile from this place. Friends have recommended this place because it's alway busy. On the way home from work. Starving so I decided to call in my order. As I pulled up, it was busy yet very casual. Family friendly. I ordered a spaghetti with meatballs to go. Added a salad and a coke. Now, I don't think I had a back spaghetti dish. And it's my comfort food. But I didn't even know you can make spaghetti soo bland, nothing to the sauce. Nor meatballs. I was looking for cheese, or pepper flakes. I mean something/anything. Wow. This restaurant is stuck in time. While passing through York we stumbled across this place and made an effort to stop in when we had a chance. I am glad we did. I had the chicken parm sub and my wife had a small cheese pizza. The service was very friendly and was quite busy when we arrived. The menu is very reasonable. The prices for the portions are acceptable and the food was very nice. I would certainly stop by again as this is the best value I have seen coming from a much larger city. Family gathering consisting of four adults and three kids for lunch. There is nothing fancy about this place, but everyone was friendly, and the service was outstanding. I ordered the senior spaghetti and meatballs. It was outstanding with just the right serving size for my 70-year-old appetite. My wife had the chicken sub plate and said her was good. The children all had the chicken alfredo from the children's menu. Two of the adults split a pizza and neither thought it was that good. The bill for everything which included 7 drinks was $61.60, which I thought was very reasonable. This appears to be a local hangout as everyone knew each other. Waitress came and told us that there would be a 20% tip on a part of 8 or more because of "stiffing". When asked if that would be the case of separating the bill, she told us 20% would be added to each bill, and then accused us of stiffing her from a later time. We have always tipped well with each of the other waitresses. This waitress has always given us problems, she will come take our order and never come back to our table to refill our drinks or check on us. I've always tried to tip every waitress, but if you don't come and check on us refill our drinks, then I will not tip you. But as of today, we will not be returning. To be honest I haven't ate anything from there besides there pizzas. But the pizzas alone are making my review 5 stars they are great and the prices and even better. You can call and order and pick up and go or decide to dine in. The staff there and servers are always very nice and the service is fast your not going to be stuck waiting to be helped which is why I love going there over big name pizza places. And just to add several people I know said that they have a decent size menu with ítalian favorites and they are all really good that there isn't anything that isn't good on the menu! It's also loçated on E. liberty street it's very easy to find and has a good amount of parking and the restaurant everytime I go inside is always clean and the layout is really nice inside and it's definitely a family friendly place where you can bring children or just go on an adult only meal either way you will be satisfied with the service and food! read more

From the outside this place is very unassuming, but do not let that fool you. The food is wonderful. I had the Greek pizza with a side of tzatziki sauce and it was wonderful. My husband brought me here because he said he used to eat here years ago with his family however we both said that after the service tonight we won't be returning. the souvlaki and gyros are always good. Portions are usually nice with the exception of the greek salad. My favorites are the eggplant parmesan and the stromboli (which are usually enough for two meals.) We were leaving Lowes at 8:30pm and decided to eat dinner here and now instead of driving a half hour to get home and then preparing a very late dinner. It reminds us of some of the great little old Italian family run restaurants we left behind in Connecticut. The place is old and a little shabby, but the food is great and the service was fast and friendly. Prices are extremely reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone, with or without a family, who wants a quick tasty meal at a great price. I have eaten here since I can remember as a child. I have always rotated between the Hoagie and Chicken Fettuccini. There hasn't been a time where my meal was a disappointment. My tips start at the equal amount of my meal. The only ways to create a decrease in the tip are rudeness, unfriendly attitude and letting me die of thirst during my meal! We all ordered pizza's. They were ok. Our waitress was very busy. She was against, ok, but not great. Once we finished our Pizza we planned to get a dessert, but our waitress never came back. We had to track her down. Then we ordered the desert. They had Baclava, and cheesecake. I've never had Baclava before, but I suspect this wasn't the best one ever made. The cheesecake was again ok. Their idea of chicken parm is pieces of marinated chicken on a bun with some sauce and cheese. I ordered the Eggplant Parm dinner and the Eggplant was clearly frozen premade Eggplant. It was mushy and gross and was missing most of its "breading", the pasta was soggy and overcooked and swimming in water which ruined the sauce. My husband ordered the pizza, it wasn't the worst he ever had, but not something we would go back for. Pizza is really tasty and normally have leftovers with their small. Lasagna and Baked Spaghetti are meaty and have the right noddle ratio, but lack salt!!. Can't believe it being I am not a fan of loads of salt, but these entress seriously need some added to the meat before the assembly. The subs are hit and miss. Some days they are shaved just right and others it taste like yesterday's meat. :( Salads and dressings are said to be homemade.
