She was cleaning the Salad bar, instead of letting me stand there until she was finished cleaning, she said I would be glad to take your order, stopped what she was doing, came over to the counter and took my order. Ordered a pizza on line last night. Went in to pick it up and young man behind the counter said it would be about 5 more minutes. I said no problem and sat in the first booth facing the counter. Observed the kid that first greeted me eating and drinking in the food prep area. He never said anything about my order being ready. After 10 minutes I went to counter and another lady assisted me. Pizza was decent. Crust was a little bread heavy but I got the hand tossed. Will try the thin crust next time and problem likely solved. Toppings though very on point. They were not shy pouring the toppings on for my personal size combination pizza but they didn't overload the pizza to the point that the slice falls apart on you. I liked the balance of meat to veggies. Would try again with the thin crust. Wings were cooked perfectly. The medium wings were medium spicy. I wish the garlic parm wings had more flavor, a little more parm would have gone a long way there. Shame because they were perfectly crispy on the outside while not dry. We love the pizza at the pizza man! It's priced affordable for the amount of toppings and the size. It's a locally owned restaurant and because of this staff is limited so keep that in mind during peak hours and ordering 45 min or so in advance will ensure your food is ready and hot when you get there to pick it up. If you choose to dine in they also have a well stocked salad bar. Placed an order this past weekend. I was so disappointed. We ordered two sandwiches, cheese bread and wings. I ordered take out. When we got our food home these sandwiches were literally thrown together. I have never seen such a mess. Mayo was even on the top of the bun. The toppings were piled on so high you couldn't even hold the sandwich. We threw both sandwiches in the trash. I was so disgusted that nothing was eaten and all went in the trash. High Hope's for this one so I was excited to get my to go order home. Pizza looked good and the sticks looked decent. The Bread Sticks were just that. They were decent. Nothing to spend too much time talking about. The pizza was about par for the course. I will be honest...I was expecting better. Glad I decided to pass up the chain pizza joints but not what I was hoping for. The people are a totally different story. What a friendly group of employees. A pleasure to do business with for sure. Not many options in Clover and only one other non-chain option that I know of so I would never stear you away from The Pizza Man. This was a horrible experience I had called in my order gave the delivery address and got the price and was told 45 minutes for delivery. I had company coming over. Well after an hour and half I called to check on it I was told they didn't deliver to my address. What?? The person was very rude but said they would meet us.
