I have been using this clinic for my two kitties for months never and have had experiences similar to them. I have mostly worked with Dr DeChristina who has been nothing but amazing! She's helped my girlfriend and I understand how best to care for our two new kittens; diets, vaccinations, and the pros and cons of certain optional procedures. I've always felt informed and that she cares greatly about me and my animals. I would definitely recommend Chalet and particularly Dr DeChristina to anyone looking for a great new Vetrinarian.

Only when I got there I found out that this wasn't the case at Chalet at all. I am so disappointed at their customer service and how they treated my kitty. The doctor walked in and basically asked me if my cat is nicer at home, then gave him a shot without even telling us what it was. Before anything else was said, she told us that we could go. We were so confused and shocked all at the same time that we didn't know what to say. A minute later, she walked in with another lady and told her to scruff our kitty while she gave him another shot... What was that?? I don't think we'll ever come back here again, I think other pet owners deserve to know what kind of service they'll be getting from this clinic.

All the pets in my family have gone to Dr. Sharpes' clinic since she started practice in this area…read moreabout 20 years ago, and none of us have ever had an unpleasant visit. Dr. Sharpe has a quiet and gentle demeanor that seems to be very soothing and calming to both dogs and cats. Even my most panicked and terrified cat that was in severe pain (she had been bitten nearly in half) relaxed in her presence. She has always been very calm and kind to all of our pets, even the naughty ones. She seems to enjoy both dogs and cats, not just tolerate them. Dr. Sharpe takes a slightly more 'holistic' or natural approach to care, which I greatly prefer. She operates on the philosophy of "first do no harm". She won't give your pet drugs it does not need just for the sake of "doing something". She won't do procedures unless absolutley necessary and if there's a home treatment you can do, she will always have you try that first. Dr. Sharpe seems truely more interested in the welfare of the animal before just doing something that will make money. I've had visits with other vets for my dog, a rottweiler, and they have been somewhat unpleasant and apprehensive around him because of his breed. Not Dr. Sharpe. She has always treated him for how HE is, not his breed stereotype, and that makes all the difference to me. For most of us, our pets are family and we want them cared for as such, and Dr. Sharpe will, and always has, done that. The vet techs/ staff are VERY knowledgeable and helpful. I feel assured when asking them a question or for advice, that they know what they are talking about and are giving me information that I can trust. No one at the clinic ever makes me feel that I am asking dumb or unimportant questions. All of them have always been very pleasant and nice to talk to and deal with. The clinic itself is well maintained, is always very clean and the cost of office visits are very reasonably priced at around $35. I feel this clinic has no negatives really, but the only downside is they offer no emergency care. There are other area places to go, but if my dog or cat were having an emergency, I wish that they could receive Dr. Sharpes care and not someone elses. I highly recommend Dr. Sharpe, her staff and the Brightside Pet Clinic. They provide fantastic and extremely knowledgeable care to all of my and my familys pets in a very professional and kind manner.

They explain the costs of medicine and tests before doing them, which is also really nice. Their fees were reasonable from what I'm used to (but I'm from the east coast so I'm used to really high vet costs). What I think is reasonable and what someone from the area thinks is reasonable might not be the same thing. I also liked that they use email to communicate. Finally, they were able to get a mistake corrected on my dog's rabies certificate by contacting her last vet - this meant she didn't get a shot she didn't need, and I'm grateful for that. The office was reasonably clean, and didn't smell bad. The staff were all super friendly, and I felt like they cared about my dogs.

Despite the fact that my dog has had 9 appointments in the last year due to diabetes care and other issues. I have spent $3,726 at True Veterinary in the last few years. And they cut me off from prescription insulin, without which my dog will die. Imminently. This is like extortion: pay up $300 for another "wellness check," even though he has been examined 9 times in the past year. Criminal. I trusted this vet with my dog's life and they have prioritized profit over his very survival.

I also need a vet established for routine care like vaccines. The lady looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language and didn't seem to understand what i was talking about at all. She continued to look at me like I had asked some ridiculous request and said if it's an appointment I'm asking for she can look at next week but they are only drop off visits. They just lost all the business from me for my new pet and any future pets. They must not understand what pet health guarantees are and they clearly don't believe in building a great relationship with clients if they don't allow new pet owners in the visits. If this is how the front desk lady treats people I dont even want to imagine how the rest of the staff would be if they ever took the time to actually meet with pet owners face to face.
