We had an amazing kitty who was showing signs of a bladder infection. We took him to Lakeland where they took such great care of him. We tried antibiotics, but ultimately he needed surgery. They were so helpful with giving us recommendations for other locations that may be a good fit for us financially for his surgery, as well as recommendations an emergency vet. He had so many complications, and this was over 6 months, but through it all, Lakeland was so helpful and acted as friends to him, rather than seeing him as just another patient that's bringing in money. I appreciate that so much.

I called Badger Vet the following day to let them know that Ike passed. The lady who answered said Ike's vet would probably be reaching out to me by phone within a few days. Several days went by and I didn't receive a call. I sent an email just to make sure the vet and his staff received my message. Someone emailed back saying, yes, they know. I never received a call and not saying he needed to call me. Ike's vet did send a card in the mail about 3 weeks later that was impersonal. I guess better than nothing but not what I expected from Badger Vet.

Wanted to overcharge me for preventative medicine by making me purchase individual monthly doses which cost $15 more per dose vs 6 month pack for my two dogs who use the same thing. Front desk customer service was also extremely rude. There is nothing good at this place anymore. After going here for years, I will now be looking for a much better place for my pets.

The office was closed so we were told to drive to the Janesville emergency vet. Over the course of the 30 minute drive all of our dog's "insides" came out of the incision. She was literally gutted alive while our 6 year old daughter was in the vehicle. We ultimately lost our dog that evening- an event the emergency vet states is "rare". The dr that performed the surgery called the next day, and asked my wife if we stepped on our dog while basically stating he did nothing wrong. The entire incident was tragic and awful but we believed it was a "fluke"- something that was rare but could happen, we guessed- and we left it alone- we just wanted to emotionally heal and focus on ensuring our daughter was ok after everything. Fast forward several months later- another owner has the exact same thing happen to her dog after being sprayed by the SAME Dr at this clinic. 3 days after being spayed, while laying on the couch- her sutures failed also- and the rest of their story, unfortunately, is the same as ours. We tried to speak with the "Head Vet" at the clinic with regards to our concerns- he refuses to call back. He spoke with the owner of the 2nd dog this happened to and essentially told them "good luck proving we did anything wrong." Their stance is that because this dr has done many surgeries he couldn't possibly have made mistakes. They will not even consider there is a problem, much less even call us back to discuss our concerns. Go somewhere else- please- this was the most horrific thing we have ever experienced. We know it has happened to at least 2 dogs- We do not currently know if there are others out there as well thinking it was something "rare" and not saying anything. We've pulled all of our pets from this clinic. At this point we will be seeking further assistance in this matter but for the immediate time- please, go elsewhere.

Then they send in what seems like a brand new hire to recieve payment before they can even put him down, maybe 5 minutes to say goodbye and rolled him out the back door 5 minutes after that. They went above and beyond so much that the male vet tech went into my wife's private information and decided to message her and ask her out on dates. So maybe that's why he missed all those signs our dog was showing when he saw him, prolly looking at something other than the dog. I will be posting the 2 diagnosis from each vet as well for you all to see and how drastically different they are as well as the messages from this male vet trying to get dates while at work. I ended up taking her all the way to Lake Geneva to be seen. Granted it gave me 2 more hours to be with her but it didn't help in saving her life. I had to have her put down at 5:43. For me those extra 2 hours were more suffering for her and agony for me. I doubt that I will have another animal but if I do, my shadow won't darken your doorway for them to be seen.
