Our Cigar organization held it's monthly meeting here last evening. While a little tricky to find you step inside and back to a time of luxury and opulence that was the world of fine cigars. High back leather chairs and sofas, small intimate gathering rooms, solid wood walls and ceilings and a full impressive bar and cocktails offerings. Excellent host and hostess and enough background music to help keep conversation slow and quiet. Thanks to our host for a unique food offerings as well. The humidor while smaller compared to many large chain stores offers a nice selection and a variety of "house rolls". What a cute date night place. The music is hit or miss whether they have it or not, but they have side rooms that are perfect for you and your friends to hang even without live music. Service is attentive and friendly. The outdoor balcony overlooks the Main Street but it's not very large so groups would not fit. We have been several times now and are really loving it. read more

Looked for a new cigar spot. A family member recommended to try Lakeland Loft. I come to Lakeland routinely but never knew about it. The decor is a representation of what a real cigar lounge should look like. Bar staff was amazing and gave the right amount of attention. The balcony and private rooms are such a bonus. Didn't have the opportunity to try the food but the few plates I saw looked amazing. Only gave 4 stars because of the small selection of cigars. The selection can improve but don't let that stop you from e joying the ambiance of this great establishment. read more

Beautiful place and friendly and fun atmosphere. Nice meeting Soloman the owner and Charlie Redd. Although think I was overcharged for our four drinks and a $10 cigar but it was worth it. The Manhattans were made in the rocks so if you want it up I suggest you tell the bartender. We had a great time talking and listening to the live band. We will be back from Orlando. I love this spot...period. Class...period. Atmosphere...period. Quality...period. My wife is from Lakeland so we are here a few times out of the year, and when we come I always make a point to visit the Lakeland loft and enjoy a cigar. I am a cigar connoisseur so I know what good and what's crap. This place it total class. So very surprising and refreshing for a small town like Lakeland. I came to town and was not expecting on having an opportunity to go, but I had some time and went by. I wasn't dressed for the occasion but the owner Solomon gave me a dinner jacket to wear (with my shorts and T-shirt) so I could come in. This guy is all class. I mean he wears cufflinks everyday! He knows his stuff too! Full cigar selection, private rooms, leather couches, balcony seating looking over downtown, full bar with a wine and bourbon cellar. You can't match this type of service! I had an exquisite Lancero house stick and a classic old fashioned. Heaven! read more

Came here with a friend who has been here a few times already and talked the place up as being worthy of a 55 drive from St. Pete. Located in downtown Lakeland on the second floor with views overlooking the park from its balcony. The Interior is quite elegant with beautiful decor. A handful of private different-sized rooms, also with elegant furniture and a television; although, the only room unoccupied when we visited featured a broken television and a door that simply would not stay closed. It was difficult to hold a conversation while competing with the live jazz band that was playing quite loudly. As for the service, I was very unimpressed. It was difficult to get the attention of the two bartenders. There did not appear to be anyone serving drinks in the common area or out on the balcony. Perhaps they were short-staffed, but even then you would think that the owner who was walking around greeting folks would jump in and lend a hand. Also not too impressed with the liquor selection. Not really an extensive bourbon selection that I would expect in a place like this. The bar itself and especially what's behind the bar that can be seen from any angle and to me jit ust took away from the elegance all around it. This place is OK, but that's really about it for me. I wouldn't say it's worth the 55-minute drive from St. Pete but glad I came to check it out. I would certainly visit again if in the area. read more

From the moment you walk in you are wrapped in a luxurious and stylish environment. The chandelier's twinkling, a piano awaiting a musician, comfortable leather sofa's and chairs, glowing fireplaces, views to the balcony overlooking downtown Lakeland are just a few of the things making this spot such a treat to visit. The servers are attentive and eager to assist. Solomon shows amazing hospitality and interaction with the guests. There is a terrific wine room, walk-in humidor, and a very large bar with a great selection of liquors to choose from. We heard live jazz music by Fred Cantù and some couples danced the night away. The drinks are reasonable priced and there are some cheese platters for nibbling on. We look forward to returning here. read more

A fancy boys club. My partner and I drove from tampa to check out this place since we both love jazz. While the aesthetics of this loft were tasteful, I can't say that to be the case with the service. We weren't necessarily greeted at the entrance, it's more of a walk-in and find a seat kind-of-place. Once we found seating we didn't see a waitress around so we thought to go to the bar. Upon arriving at the bar, the bartender was frustrated (to be fair she was the only person serving). We were told that there was a waitress so we decided to wait. After a while the waitress came to us and asked for our order without the menu, so it took a while to place an order. The cocktails were ok at best, nothing spectacular. Environment felt more of a boys clubs, not many ladies. It is a cigar place but we've been to many and the smell was simply overwhelming. The music was different than we expected since we called ahead to ask what they were playing that night (it was more of Jazz-ish with latin rhythms - not jazz). I really wanted to love it, I was so excited to visit but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype and the service left a lot to be desired. read more

I know some very large cigar companies that could learn a thing or two about how to properly present the cigar experience from Solomon. This place is the epitome of what a cigar lounge should be. It is refined, comfortable, clean. It is the perfect location to enjoy a premier cigar experience. The selection is not as vast as some of the other stores, but the sticks are fresh and there is a wonderful variety of premier cigars, medium range cigars and sticks for those on a budget. Coupled with a very complete bar experience serving some of the finer brands as well as those more well known, Solomon has created the perfect place for a novice's introduction to cigars, while maintaining what I would call a benchmark establishment for the regular cigar connoisseur. Great place to come and relax, down a few drinks, nurture a wonderful cigar, and lose yourself either in good conversation or a fine book. Probably the nicest cigar/bar venue in all of Florida, if not the entire South (take good advice from a man who travels quite often and is a devout foodie/cigar connoisseur). This is one of the most upscale watering holes in all of Florida. Its presence adds tons of class and positive human energy to Lakeland. The place is kept immaculately clean (which is surprising for a cigar place), and staff/management are fantastic characters. The owner, Mr. Wassef, is a wonderful gentleman who has done much for the local community through his excellent entrepreneurial efforts. Both the cigar and drinks selection are extensive and are of high quality. Very plush, elegant interior decked out with extremely comfortable furniture and imbued with a sophisticated --- but not pretentious --- social atmosphere. 10 stars out of 10 stars!!! Hidden gem in the heart of downtown Lakeland. Excellent atmosphere, courteous staff, reasonably priced products, great balcony overlooking the square. I only wish they had a better selection of food...but I wasn't there to eat. What I did eat was a nice snack. Live music on weekend nights. I absolutely LOVED it. After the Tinder Box on the southside closed down, I felt like an orphan. They did a great job decorating the place. LIVE music was a nice touch. Met up with a couple of female friends. Judging from the pictures on Yelp, it appeared that there was a strict dress code. I felt a little over dressed at first when I arrived (heels, skirt, & blouse). My friends showed up in casual attire. However, I noticed it was a half & half mix amongst the other patrons. Half were dressed formal and the other half were casual. Complimentary snacks were served, and they seemed to have a good stock at the bar. They seemed to have a descent selection of cigars as well. Cohibas! Loved this place and will definitely come back. The staff was great and very attentive when they noticed my drink was running low. So happy to see something a little nicer in Lakeland for those that like to treat themselves. I only have one small request...Can you please stock up on Tatiana Groovy Blue cigars? I am impressed. Coming from a miami night life expectation this place was a lovely upscale lounge. Very grown and sexy with a nice touch of class (and a wine room that's chilled). I'm dying to find a good place for jazz and this would really be the ticket if they a) lowered the lights and b) changed the tone of the bulbs to read a bit warmer. There are private rooms, patio, bar and general sofa seating. The drinks were very light on pours. We ended up with shots. To our surprise they do have vegetarian light offerings. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. My review is long overdue as I visited this fine establishment a few weeks ago with my cousin while visiting the area. As a woman who enjoys the finer things in life and ever conscious of my luxury, this place was the best recommendation I've gotten in YEARS. From the moment you walk in, pure elegance. Every detail has been attended to, down to the bathroom decor. As a lover of wine as well as a good bourbon, there was nothing I needed or wanted that they couldn't supply. There are private rooms, should I want to close a deal here over a cocktail (which I plan to do very soon), a balcony to catch a breeze while you sip and the entire place is decked out in what I can only describe as 'pure class.' Harnessing the Bogart era, the whole place makes you feel some kind of way. If I lived closer, I've no doubt I would spend 3-4 nights a week in this place. To top off the ambiance of the Loft, the owner and his son are two of the most amazing and gracious people you can hope to meet. It is clear that your enjoyment is a priority for them and they go out of their way to make sure you want for nothing under their watch. In a time where customer service is an after-thought for most companies and establishments, being somewhere that takes special care to cater to you does not go unnoticed.
