Pleasantly surprise by this place in all aspects. It was a great place to watch the nfl playoffs. Pricing was reasonable and much cleaner than expected. Wow, this place has slowing gotten worse and worse. It's funny because they are investing in new properties while letting this one and all there other locations become a dump!!!! So anyway be careful the bartenders like to throw random stuff on your tab. The APA has multiple instances of them not understanding how to run tabs for people. The food is 2/10 at best its salt content would rival any ocean, (probably a way to mask the horrible taste) If you want a loud bar with a staff that is just clueless this is your spot hands down. Went there for the first time last night (drove there from the southern tip of St Petersburg and still worth it!). ALL of the employees were very nice, even when the pool league was there and it was super busy. I wish I could remember their names to give them the credit they deserve! 1/25/22. Tons of pool/billiards tables! Could be a good place for a date. The cons are limited, but IMO are essential for the location. I understand that it's a huge place with tons of patrons so things will go missing, but part of a billiards business, imo, should be supplying brushes for the tables (mine desperately needed to be cleaned off) & hand chalk available throughout, which I saw none anywhere. Fantastic pool hall atmosphere... one of the best in credential Florida. The food is a step above - particularly the way underrated Cuban - you get nearly TWO FEET of delicious authentic pressed hot Cuban sandwich PLUS a side of fries or other accompaniment for $13? It's doubly delicious if Aids m August is in the kitchen preparing it. Seriously, if they closed the pool hall and just turned this into a Cuban sandwich restaurant, I'd come just for that! The service is also super good considering it's a busy bar and pool hall, but it's always delivered professionally - and the pours and prices are fair. I've been here before for drinks, but this time we went on a weekday and it was pretty empty (as you'd expect on a random Wednesday), there were plenty of pool tables to choose from, which suited us just fine. She began to follow me out harassing me every step I took and even got a passerby involved asking if he knew me?? Brewlands staff was questioned by Polk County Sheriff about involvement in pool cue theft ring. It appears one or more bartenders were involved with the thefts during APA League play. Bartenders were protected by management and the thefts have continued. read more

Spouse and I went there last night. They had the hockey game on and we sat at the bar to watch the game. Host checking IDs was fun, made us feel welcomed! Bartenders and waitresses were also friendly. Great place to play pool, throw darts and they even have a shuffle puck table. Highly recommend this place, drinks aren't over priced! Friendly staff. Smoke free!! They customized the Philly cheese stake to be a mushroom instead of beef since I'm eating more vegetarian these days. It was delicious. 10/10 would recommend. More of a grilled veggie hoagie. The green tea "shots" were fire and enormous for $5 on Saturdays. I couldn't down it like a shot. Had to swallow at least twice to get it all down it was so big. Great value. The snakebite was delicious. They have bull shooter soft tip darts, plenty of pool tables and an internet jukebox. Cool place to bring your best bud to hangout on a Saturday! When I visited no body, including staff, were wearing masks so if that is a concern for you, just be aware. As long as you are healthy and vaccinated it shouldn't be an issue. It looks super clean in the bathroom so that's a good indicator that things are taken care of. Check them out! You will have a great time. read more

I'm not sure what to make of the negative reviews, as my two visits to Brewlands have both been delightful. The staff, including Samantha (see photo), is friendly, attentive and engaged. They understand what it takes to create a good customer experience and they deliver. The crowd reflects the owners' apparent intent to keep the place lively, but under control. Brewlands is a great addition to the South Lakeland scene, with top quality fixtures, clean restrooms and beautiful custom stonework behind the bar. The layout is wide open -- much bigger than you might expect from the outside. The parking was easy, and Brewlands is tobacco-friendly, if that's important to you. Recommended. read more

This place is Nasty just plain nasty with service !! It's nothing special going on at Brewlands. This place is extremely pricey, and they have the worst unwelcoming attitudes and they really expect you to tip them. They do not care about you. I truly hate that I came to patronize this business. They do not care about the people, they only care about the dollar amount that you spend.I could write a book on the owner Michael and the Robo cop security (the black guy) about the way I was treated. I was falsely accused of not paying a tab when in reality I was providing care to a intoxicated young woman !! When I was approached by their Robo cop security. I was approached with a nasty I have authority attitude about an open tab,I explained to him that all of my tabs was paid by others. That was not the answer apparently he was looking for he then begin to threaten me to be thrown out all bc he was loud and wrong about me owing money. I then asked to speak with the owner whom I learned was present from others that I was surrounded by. Boy was this a big mistake. The owner approached me and we began to talk. The entire time I was speaking with the owner I was treated like a number !! I will NEVER return to this place EVER again. I purchased many drinks, my date bought many drinks for US , and the people I was around bought US many drinks. The vibe was great. When I spoke to the owner Michael about the service I received he was so worried about having a worker that was cocky with no customer service skills to cover the shifts instead of how I felt embarrassed, belittled, and disrespected!! My concerns was irrelevant to him. I was offered a free drink, however I did not want a drink I wanted my issue to be addressed and not sugar coated. I even paid for a drink that I didn't take one sip of. After speaking with the manager and him giving me his nonchalant attitude towards my concern that's when I Decided to give my drink that I purchased back because of the way I was treated. The owner was so impaired (drunk or high) that he couldn't comprehend what I was trying to explain to him. (He was definitely impaired, but I'm not judging!!! Handle YOUR business) This was my second encounter with this particular robo cop trying to throw around his weight !!! Threatening to get you thrown out is how he deals with a situation All while the owner is trying to normalize his behavior to keep his establishment going.... I wish I could give this place negative stars The way I was treated tonight while spending my hard earn dollars, helping a young lady in need, as well as trying to meet my personal needs was unsatisfactory!!! I do not recommend this place. Gooooooo to Linksters in downtown Lakeland or it's another really nice bar down the road next to Outback on South Florida. A friend and I wanted to kill some time before the Super Bowl. We arrive at about 2pm and order a beer and a red bull and are placed at table 8. No problems so far. I attempt to order another round from Erikka, who then informs me they are out of Red Bull. I ask for coffee, no coffee, so I settle on a coke. Erikka proceeds to say, "This isn't my problem, I didn't stock last night." Okay, I didn't ask but whatever. The place is half empty. Then someone decides to put a couple with two young kids right next to our table. The kids are being taught the game of pool. Our game grinds to a halt. There are PLENTY of open tables and open spaces so we ask to switch. My friend informs me we can switch, but we have to turn in our balls and throw another ID for a new table. At this point, Erikka informs us that we are now running two separate tabs. We move down and continue to play. We go to check out. They can't find either tab. I finally have to tell them we were on table 8, then 9. After 10 minutes, they find our tab - one single tab. Not the best experience. As well, at 4:30 pm I overhear about a $20 special that is running from noon - 6pm. Unlimited beer and one plate of food. I probably would have bought that at 2pm. Now it's 90 minutes from the end of the special. Good tables but serious service issues. Just feels like the owners are a group of dudes that thought it would be cool to open a bar, but are more concerned about elevating their social standing then actually running a good bar. read more

After walking into the virtually empty bar at 5:30 in the evening, we greeted the obviously bored bartender. She half greeted us back and then proceeded to completely ignore us while casually sipping her own drink and chatting with one of the only other people in the place. We left after giving her about 10 minutes. On the way out we actually said goodbye to which she responded, "Yeah." Guess she's independently wealthy and bartends for fun. The place itself is great, very nice, but the bartenders including the bald Man who is the manager I believe are so beyond rude. Anytime you go to get a drink they are just rude and don't act friendly at all. Very horrible service in my opinion. Although the ladies all seem very friendly, it's the guys who come off very coky And rude. And the smoke is way too much sometimes. Other than that it's a very enjoyable environment. read more
