Vasco Sixty-One is a trendy rooftop bar inspired by its counterpart, latin cuisine spot Nineteen61. You get to Vasco Sixty-One in a small entrance right next to Nineteen61, take the elevator up and there you go. But usually you'll want a reservation. Though it's a rooftop bar, it's pretty small. There were 50ish people in the outdoor part the evening I was there and it felt very full. There's a small amount of seating inside and some bar seating, but it gets packed quickly. However, the drinks are amazing and worth paying a little extra for once in awhile. Nineteen61 is not known for being cheap, and its rooftop bar sister should be expected to be no different. But the drinks are super gourmet, so again, you are at least paying for quality and service. They have a small food menu there as well, with a variety of appetizers that are latin-inspired and just as delicious as the drinks. On weekends they usually have live music too so it's lively atmosphere.

This place has that WOW factor.. from the atmosphere to the drinks, to the presentation.. it's all amazing. I had been dreaming of coming here before our trip and it surpassed my expectations. I had the Fuzzy Amore and it was delicious. My friends ordered the Smoked Pumpkin Old Fashioned and Cin Sensora Old Fashioned. Everyone loved their drinks. The hostess and bartenders were really friendly and helpful. The design of the place is just gorgeous. It's such a fun place to hang out.

The Rooftop has a beautiful decor! Lush green plants, high tops, and booth seating! The bar is beautiful, clean, and well organized! ADRI our server was very knowledgeable about the menu! She recommended my mom a cocktail with Gin that she truly enjoyed! We ordered the pork belly Pintxos and they were SO good! We also tried the Lobster Fundido! Both were a HIT! We will be back. Great for date night or girls night!

The staff were very friendly from the time we walked to the table service we received. Nice casual outdoor atmosphere. Good drink selection.

A wonderful place to hang out with friends! There are outside seats including sofas overlooking downtown Lakeland's Munn Park. A terrific place to watch the sunset. The bar staff (shout out to Taylor) were attentive, friendly and make excellent drinks. We had an appetizer of Shishito Peppers. They were so good! We choice to different Old Fashioned which were presented so nicely! The Luxury Old Fashioned being a huge favorite! The place gets crowded( we went on a Saturday) definitely put yourself on the waitlist! I was told it's less crowded on a Sunday or Monday. We did get a seat at the bar with no waiting though, awesome! Everything here is AMAZING!! One tiny complaint is how loud the music was making it challenging to talk to the bartenders. We will definitely return to this spot though!

Check dinner prices first. If you can afford them, more power to you. There's much better Cuban food in Lakeland for half the price.

The rooftop setting offers an unbeatable view of the park, and the vibe is just right-laid-back yet lively.

The service was excellent and the food was good. My bill was $89.88 and I left a tip of $18.00. Our server was Mackenzie. Today I looked at my receipt and discovered a $14.00 charge for a tropic thunder mocktail with vodka. We never ordered or received the vodka mocktail. This troubles me and I will inform my friends of the extra charge. Dick Sargeant h.mrealty@verizon.net

People are supposed to be driving 25mph, but it's central Florida. Just look both ways before crossing. In terms of service, it was amazing! Manager/Owner was very visible at all times and checked in multiple times. Server was hilarious and personable. He was very knowledgeable on the drinks and food. He didn't steer me wrong ever. The food is somehow the best part. The service was 20/10 and the food was even better. I went with coworkers and we tried different things and shared. VERY happy with everything, particularly what I ordered. Kentucky Fried Gator was amazing and that sauce it came with had me dipping the lettuce into it just to have more. Buratta and Tomatoes were heavenly. Exactly what you'd expect and the focaccia was sliced into more pieces for us to share. The Whipped Ricotta Toast was divine. The peaches with the seeds and just wow what a combo! Steak Frites are WELL worth the price. I had enough for the dinner and lunch the next day. The BEST surprise was dessert. I was very hesitant. But let me tell you, that the Japanese Whisky Bread Pudding is dangerous to be so close to me. That is beyond sinful. Not too sweet. Very well balanced. Great fresh, still good the next day. I even put my yogurt in the container leftovers to get every last drop of that miso caramel. It is a must try. Drinks wise, the best out of what we tried was the Passionfruit Aperol Spritz. As beautiful as it is delicious. Highly recommend it, but warning you might end up getting more than one. I feel that everything was appropriately priced, service was great, atmosphere was nice. I usually hate eating outdoors but my coworkers chose the outdoor table. That being said, I wasn't miserable so that speaks to the comfort of the atmosphere, though maybe not the chairs. I HIGHLY recommend The Peach House. It would be a great night out place or to unwind after work.

His hospitality, kindness, and attention to every detail made our experience truly unforgettable. We're so thankful for the amazing service, and honestly, we would come back again because of him. Thank you, Chris, for giving us some of the best hospitality in the world -- you truly made our day special.

They were starting a karaoke night and I figured since I enjoy performing that this would give me an opportunity to check out the venue for possible future event visits. The event was scheduled from 8pm to 12pm or later. We arrived 10 min. early in case there was already a crowd. GM Chris came to the door and asked us what time it was(?), that should have sent a red flag as he was the point person for running this event. We spent 10 min speaking with the Pink Piano owner next door and had a great conversation. At 8pm we went in and there was 1 individual sitting at the bar and the bartender. I ordered a scotch and a neutral for my disabled spouse. At 8:46pm with just 4 people (included) waiting for the karaoke, I went to the bar to close out my tab. The total for my drink and spouse came out to $19 and I left a $5 tip for the bartender who spent the entire time talking to the young man sitting at the bar. These are very difficult financial times for many people and to charge this type of prices for drinks, especially in Lakeland, Fl is absurd. As a very well organized individual who has managed many venues in his past along with being a professional performer, this was a complete disappointment from an operational point of view. If you are going to advertise a venue with a start time, at least either start on time or apologize to patrons who made provisions to attend the venue for events. My time is just as important as those running this establishment. Making arrangements to bring out a disabled spouse and having to wait almost an hour is totally unacceptable. If this is the type of operational standards then I along with my spuse will patron those establishments who have a deep appreciation for return customers and their financial contribution to the running of the business. I will leave it with this, if people choose to allow business's to simply run it without any regard for the paying customer, then you deserve what you get.

It was everything I hoped water would be BUT my friends said the drinks were good), went to the bathroom (It was clean and has a full length mirror ), walked around (there's another little bar area and an outside patio in the back), and danced (fun music). The drag show was so fun! These queens are beautiful and they came to DANCE. Just to emphasize, it was so much fun! I've been completely underestimating this place. It's got that same fun vibe of any gay club in the larger cities. I reopened my yelp account to write THIS review because I think Lakeland's been sleeping on this place.
