This time I started at the gas pump, where I got a discount for purchasing a wash at the same time. (You get a bigger discount if you're an unlimited monthly member, but I don't come often enough to justify that.) I asked the interior cleaning whether I should get the wash first and they told me if I did I'd get a complimentary wax. I literally "ooh-ed," and followed their advice. It was a little busier than I thought it would be on a weekday afternoon, but everything went fast. Other drivers in the car wash line were cooperative in merging. I finished with the interior clean. All of the Delta Sonic staff were very nice. There's a waiting area with some tables inside the convenience store where you can sit while you wait for your car. I grabbed a snack and got to work. Like 20 minutes or so, my car was done. This time I noticed they were a little sloppier than in past times - there was still some pet hair and some crumbs visible in my interior, which is kind of annoying if I'm paying $40. I didn't notice until after I'd already left, probably should check better next time. On the whole though it did look cleaner and I was very happy with the service.

The lines at Delta Sonic tend to snake all the way out to the road, so if you want a car wash without queueing forever, this place is a good bet. Plus, it's locally owned and operated, and the staff is pretty nice. The car wash was quick, and did a pretty good job of getting all the winter muck off of my car. Of course, then the spring bought the pollen and dyed my silver car yellow, so a return trip might be in order soon. The price is pretty reasonable for a full-service car wash. Also, it's not far from the mall, so if you're out that way doing shopping or stopping off at the regional market, a clean car is only a hop skip and a jump away.

Disappointed it wasn't dried I got out to buy a towel to finish the job myself. $1.25 for a towel, fair enough. In hindsight I should have realized from the looks of this vending machine I was better off without it. Put in my dollar, added a quarter, it didn't register it, or give it back, so I add another dollar and didn't get any change back either while two people are just watching me.
