I come for a wash a couple of times a year (after winter is a must), and for an interior cleaning about once a year. Well, tis the season. This time I started at the gas pump, where I got a discount for purchasing a wash at the same time. (You get a bigger discount if you're an unlimited monthly member, but I don't come often enough to justify that.) I asked the interior cleaning whether I should get the wash first and they told me if I did I'd get a complimentary wax. I literally "ooh-ed," and followed their advice. It was a little busier than I thought it would be on a weekday afternoon, but everything went fast. Other drivers in the car wash line were cooperative in merging. I finished with the interior clean. All of the Delta Sonic staff were very nice. There's a waiting area with some tables inside the convenience store where you can sit while you wait for your car. I grabbed a snack and got to work. Like 20 minutes or so, my car was done. This time I noticed they were a little sloppier than in past times - there was still some pet hair and some crumbs visible in my interior, which is kind of annoying if I'm paying $40. I didn't notice until after I'd already left, probably should check better next time. On the whole though it did look cleaner and I was very happy with the service. read more

I never received this message till today when I was glancing at the alerts in my Yelp account. I never got anything resolved by Delta Sonic. I did go meet a guy who gave me a form to fill out (damage report) and while I was filling it out, he was looking at my car and saying things like "its a 2014 , its 5 years old it had to have these scratches there before you came thru the carwash" WHAT???!! ---thats insult to injury! I now use a local DIY car wash in Williamson but the under carriage spray is the part I missed the most at DS. Especially during and after our salty winter especially THIS WINTER which has been brutal. Nobody ever reached out to me, Im assuming the guy who took the report went inside and threw it away. Ive met a few people who comment on the condition of my car and I tell them what happened at DS carwash and they all told me they had damage done at DS carwash and that they had to file a lawsuit and that they got their cars repainted and DS had to pay for the damages . Seems to me this happens too often. For what you pay these days you get NOTHING but damage to your car that either we have to pay to fix, or we cant afford it and never gets fixed and DS gets away with another one. Its maddening! I know people will still go there and some may never notice and others will. The thing I want to know-is WHY? I can tell you the scratches ai hot on the rear rocker panels and my doors were caused by their teenage car dryers people drying cars from the bottom up instead of top to bottom and reusing the same towels from the previous car ahead of me! I know this because Ive been back 2x since then and had to tell the people to get fresh towels out of their ice chest containers they use to store them in because after drying some other cars ahead of me they should use a fresh towel . They dont know this because they are either not trained properly, have never washed a car before, dont care, or are told to conserve towels by their managers. Pick one or all. Thats how I feel. I hope this serves as a WARNING to ANYONE who cares about their vehicles. WATCH THEM CLOSELY! Especially when busy. They do a sloppy ass job. We give them the benefits of the doubt most the time but more recently we have run into more, and more issues with there services, customer service and even damage they fail to take responsibility for. I want to start this review by stating that every team member that we interacted with today was friendly and communicative. We took my Mini Cooper convertible in for an exterior wash and Super Kiss interior clean. When purchasing both, the young man who was taking our order indicated that the wait for the interior clean was 40 minutes. No worries. It was early in the afternoon and we had time. Exterior wash was a dream, zipped right through and entered the line for the interior clean. We did end up waiting in line for the interior clean the full 40 minutes before the car was taken in, but we were warned, so no problem. I put the top down on the car so that all parts of the interior were easily accessible. The dissatisfaction began when the car came out of the interior care area. The car had been vacuumed , the mats were clean , however there was visible dust throughout the car and doggy paw prints on the leather seats that could be easily wiped away. We asked the young man who brought the car out to give the side interior panels one more wipe down, as well as the tops of the back seats. He was very responsive and wiped things down for us. Then we got into the car and saw the visible dust throughout the front panel, in the vents, in the center console. It was like the dashboard, center console, and cup holders had not been touched. We asked a very nice young lady to take a look at the interior and between her and us we wiped things down a bit more, but it still was far, far from satisfactory. She DID offer to call over a manager to send us through again, but honestly, at that point we had invested an hour and a half and it was time to go meet our other appointments. I want to be fair and state that it was very, very busy at the carwash today, but a bit more care could have been taken to clean the interior. We will not be visiting this location again. read more

If I could give this business negative stars, I would. Basically what happened is we went through the car wash. car stopped but we did not brake. The car behind us hit us 6 times! The so called manager ( Travis) asked if we may have braked?! He said an " investigation " would be done by viewing cams. Well a day later we get a letter stating that they are not responsible because Travis said we braked. huh? So I called and the customer service was horrible. "Shawn" said that they go on that kids word. I asked why no mention of viewing the cams and he said " the decision is in." I asked for it to be emailed to me and he said it's for the insurance company or attorney only. So Travis allegedly saw us brake , but did not stop the track? He saw brakes and let the car behind us hit us over and over? What? I'm not expecting people with doctorate degrees to be working there, but really? Great customer service. The person behind me was great. She told Travis that we did not brake, and she had no control of what was happening. Bottom line, you may want to reconsider putting your vehicle through this business as they are the only ones allowed to make a call. The responding officer told us he has weekly complaints to fill out at this Fairmount location. By the way, we have been customers for years! Way to treat a customer. Thank Kim- but I did that and was told to leave a voicemail. No call back, just an email stating to call. Seems to be the standard answer , but as you can see I've been that route. After having the QR code on my window registration read by their optical scanner which I feel is not legal, I was high pressured for a wash upgrade. I said no three times after which he warned me that they had new brushes that may damage my vehicle if I stayed with the basic wash choice, I told him that it may be time to warm up my lawyers if my vehicle was damaged due t their car wash. I am going to try to break a very long story into 3 or 4 easy parts. Please read this entire review before taking your car back to Delta Sonic. What Happened: On July 8th of 2019 I took my near new Audi in for an interior and exterior cleaning. When the car was returned to me at the end of the exterior portion, there were severe scratches to the rear passenger fender. I notified the manager, who took a report, filed a "claim" and assured me that they would be able to verify the damage via "a series of high resolution cameras that photograph every car". He advised the claim process would take approximately 5 day. The manager proceeded to take numerous photos of the damage before we left. I also provided the manager a view of the car from us leaving the house capture on our security footage showing the car undamaged prior to the car wash (picture attached). The Claim: I received a claim letter a week later denying my claim because, and I can't make this up, the manager says he feels the equipment was working properly and he doesn't feel it is their fault. Seriously, that was the response (see attached image of the letter). The letter also stated that no other such damage had been reported by any other customer that day, which is also false, as 2 cars before me had reported similar damages at similar locations. The Claim Challenge: The letter said to call if you feel the claim was not handled fairly and to "be assured that Delta Sonic will work hard to resolve all customer problems", so I called. If you ever want to know what being mentally raped, abused as a customer and completed regulated as waste, I highly suggest making this call; you will feel all of that and more. The lady that answered the phone advised me the claim had been denied. I asked her why (other than because the manage didn't feel it could possibly be them) and if the high resolution footage was reviewed. Here comes all of the fun. Again, I cannot make this stuff up. I was advised that the did not review the footage, not would they, as they do not guarantee the footage is available. I protested, of course, and she said, "I can't help you, the claim is denied". I asked why it wasn't properly investigated and she said, "we don't have to do more than we've done". I asked about the evidence I had that the damage wasn't there prior and she said (best one yet), "If you can show the damage wasn't there, have a video recording showing your whole car the whole drive, plus proof the car wash caused it, then I would suggest hiring an attorney or taking us to small claims court". That's right boys and girls, Delta Sonic "will work hard to resolve all customer problems" by telling you they could literally care less and to sue them if you don't like. I asked for a supervisor.. wait for it... the lady actually said she was the supervisor! I said, let me speak to someone else, and she literally said there was not another person to speak to at all of Delta Sonic. I said, I assure you, you don't own the place and there is someone else I can speak with to which I was informed that she indeed was where the buck stopped. Conclusion: I am currently getting my car repaired. Due to the location and nature of the scratches, the repair is almost $2,000. Delta Sonic pathologically lied and manipulated the situation to their benefit. At no point in the process was a single promise held or actual investigation made. The company itself was very vocal and very clear that the customer experience does not matter at all and that they will do anything to hide from responsibility. I may or may not get some or all of the repair money back. I will be filing the small claims court claim as a free attorneys through Hyatt Legal for such matters are part of my employment benefits, so unlike most, I can afford to pursue it. However, regardless of all of that, I would sincerely urge you to stay as far away as possible from this anti-customer, toxic, cancer of a business. I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. A car wash is a car wash right? Wrong! This is the tops when it comes to car washes. Not only do I not have to get my lazy ass out of the car to hose it down and scrub it but it only takes a few minutes. My car comes out looking great each time. They even wipe it down for you at the end to keep from getting any spots where the remaining drops of water might evaporate. The only issue I have is the line to get in but find that it moves along at a reasonable rate most times. They offer a monthly fee for as many car washes as you want for a set price. It is a good deal to help keep the salt off you car. Not much more to be said about it other than it's the best around. read more

This location has been under renovation for over a year. Because delta sonic only has 3 locations spread out in Syracuse, they are extremely busy. This one, because of the renovation situation, can easily take at least 20-30minutes to get your car washed at peak times. Even mid week in the mid morning it's. 15+ minute wait. read more

I came here and was surprised how long the line was. There were 3 lanes and around 20 cars in line for a car wash. The basic car wash is $11. The Super Kiss (what I got) was $16 (came out to under $18 with tax) and allows you to come back a 2nd time for a 2nd car wash (if you come back within 5 days). The Super Kiss includes the spray at the bottom of your car. You pay at the beginning of the line (while you're in the car), then your car gets sprayed down by workers with water compression spraying/machine, and then you enter the automated car wash garage where you put your car on neutral (hands off the wheel) and you enter a colorful whirlwind of soapy sprays. The interior was super cool because it was so colorful. I felt like I was in a car wash rave. When you exit, you can choose to go in 1 of 3 lanes. The middle lane is to exit without getting hand dried. The outer two is to get your car hand dried (free). Your car gets dried already by the wind tunnel in the garage though. Overall, I thought the experience was great and my car was really clean. It was nice to not have to step out of the car. This place is located next to Marshalls. Props to the folks who have to stand outside in the cold with wet towels/water spraying everywhere. It seems like a really tough and physically demanding job. I went here to get my interior of my car cleaned recently. I got the basic cleaning and once my car came out it seemed like they did not care how well they cleaned it. I specifically asked them twice to clean the cup holder in the middle of the driver and the passenger seat. They failed to do that. I took my daughter's car to the Fairmount location to be thoroughly cleaned at their $39.95 offer. I expected better for that price. The car and trunk was completely emptied of everything, but when I got home to put back her personal items I found the trunk untouched. It hadn't been cleaned or vacuumed. I contacted DS and the young man said to bring it back. Why? At that point it would have been silly when I could either do it myself with the home vacuum - and I was not about to sit in the long line again just to have them do a one minute vacuum. The point being, at $40, I expect that the employees pay attention to their job and do what they were trained to do. I'll not be going back there. I was there today and a RUDE worker directed me to the PAY line and I informed him I was an unlimited member. I waited 28 minutes while every car before me paid for their wash. I paid for the full detail today and am very disappointed. My seats are SOAKED and there are still French fries and garbage under my seats, I am not even sure it was vacuumed at all. My mats look like they haven't even been touched and my car now smells like mildew. The guy who was cleaning my car was also dumping chips into his mouth while wiping down the inside of my car. The positive thing is I got in right away, no line. The negative is that I arrived at 10 and didn't get out of there until 11:45. I'm pretty confused about the low rating they have here. This place is a pretty great one stop shop for all of your needs and is much better than any other gas station or car wash in the Syracuse area. First they have tons of gas pumps and that means no waiting. Second their prices for gas typically are lower than everyone else's. Lastly and most importantly, they are in a super convenient area that also happens to be surrounded by restaurants! I actually get the monthly car wash deal. I pay 20 bucks a month and get as many super kiss car washes I want. This typically means anytime I am in the area, I take advantage of it! I probably get at least a half a dozen or more for 20 bucks a month. The only issue I have and the main reason it's not a five star, is because sometimes their employees at the start aren't really doing anything. They are standing there with sprayers and shoot a little on your car and that's it. Other than that, it's great! read more

The unlimited superkiss gets me as much car wash as I want throughout the month and it's convenient during winter time when my car got salty everyday. But I tried the seat shampoo today and oh boy was it horrible. I paid for $20 (apparently this is already after discount). When my car came out, the seats were just SOAKED. My pants were wet after driving for 5-10 mins home (the seat was even covered with plastic I dont know how it still went through!). I did ask the operator to vacuum more, but it seriously did nothing and she did not look at all friendly and I was too tired to argue. I also had the 10-minute interior cleaning at the same time. And same thing, the mats were SOAKED and still DUSTY! They rinsed it again after I pointed it out but it didnt change anything... I drive by this place daily to get to my barre studio and it's always packed (winter months) so i needed the inside of mY car wiped down and vacuumed. I took my husband car when we lived in RI and they did great for $30. This place offered my husBand $60 detailing I said hell no so they settled on $37 for vacuuming and wiping the seats and dashboards. My husband watched just vacuum the car. He complained that it hadn't been wiped and they tried to saY it wouldn't come off so I nEeded a more expensive package so my husband with his hand showed them how it wiipes off and then thry called someone over to only do that side of the back seat not the other seaats and the dashboard was not done. It's clear through other images customers posted that these employees are not thorough and don't care to do a good job at all. My husband complained and still came home very angry at the work that was done and the employees trying to Argue with him so he can pay more money for them to just wipe the seats. It seems they will only change if they stopped getting customers itt seems most customers have the unlimited wash of the outside of thee car. This review is based on my experience today only, as I usually dislike Delta for car washes and interior cleans. We have had several instances (not at this location, but nearby) where we have paid for whatever package and the employees do the bare minimum, sometimes skipping steps entirely (ex: vacuuming out all parts of the car, cleaning mats, wiping windows) that we have clearly paid for as stated by the details in the package. So, I usually do try to avoid Delta for everything. Today, however, we really needed my car cleaned out from just daily living (how does the inside of ones car get so dirty?!) and so I decided to try this location with minimal expectations. We chose one of the package deals for interior cleaning, not sure which one but I know it wasn't the bare minimum one and it wasn't the fanciest-- it cost $34 and I thought lord this better be worth it. There were two workers on my car, and after it went through the belt, they continued to vacuum and wipe down things at the exit-- it was almost embarrassing cause my car was that atrocious inside. They both did a fantastic job. The one worker, a female (long straight brown hair, glasses), really went to town on everything. I was honestly impressed by her determination to make it as clean as possible, as there were some mud spots on my seat/floor mats that just would not come out as easily as I hoped. It did come out looking and feeling so much cleaner, and that girl deserves some acknowledgement! We did tip her, by the way. Might consider returning if I knew I would have her again! read more

1. The lines are ridiculous, and it's not because of their low prices. 2. They sell a package where you can get unlimited washes, and can go through an express line by punching in your code. These code-punchers seem to think they have a right to cut you off when you go through the regular lines. They are extremely rude, and there is no one monitoring of the situation. 3. The workers force you into the car wash with just a couple of feet between you and the car in front of you. This is very disconcerting, in case anything happens at the other end.... 4. When you come out the other end, you are forced into lanes where your car will be wiped off. This is annoying for two reasons: one is that you then feel compelled to give the workers a tip. I am all for tipping, but this means that the workers at the beginning of the carwash aren't getting a tip, and two is that you have already paid so much for your car wash that you just don't feel like parting with any more money. 5. Normally I would say that it's a pretty good car wash, except that you go through it so quickly that it doesn't actually do such a great job. And while there are people spraying cars before you even enter the carwash, that is only if they are paying attention, and not fooling around with their co-workers. 6. I went through the carwash today, and there was a backup of people coming out the other end, as I was concerned there might be, since we were packed bumper-to-bumper. The person behind me was honking, and I had nowhere to go. I started honking, and a worker ran around the corner and pressed a red emergency stop button. In the meantime, I was being bumped by the bumper of the car behind me. When I came out of the car wash, there were only two lanes to pull forward into, because the middle lane was being blocked by a yellow bollard. If that lane had been open, people could have pulled forward, and the log jam behind would not have happened. The supervisor who came out told me that the bollard is kept there to keep their workers safe so that people don't just pull forward and drive off. I suggested that perhaps spacing the cars out a little bit at the front end might alleviate the problem, and he looked at me like I was crazy or literally speaking some language besides English. He just apologized again. The owners need to take a road trip to other car washes to see what queue efficiency looks like. The method here is a mess so prepare for unorganized willy-nilly. An automated/self payment system may help. We are spoiled by Benny's Car Wash in Baton Rouge, however they could learn a thing or two from Delta Sonic.
