We hadn't been here for over a year, our last experience was great - food & service...this one...mehhhh. They made it well known they were short staffed. Went on a Wednesday night with a reservation . It took 45 minutes to get 2 glasses of wine. We had our salads & app before we had utensils or wine. My husband & I split the Caesar salad, Iceberg, (tiny) crab cakes and fish and "potato balls". All decent. Also split what they list as "fish and chips"..."chips" in this instance would be fries to most everywhere else. But here they strangely served roasted potatoes? We have returned to Lakepoint a few times since my original review. Still one of the most lovely And relaxing places to hang out in the evening. Skylar on the bar side is engaging and shakes some great drinks. Camila was in the wine bar this time and she was so friendly. The view of the lake from the wine bar, bar patio or the dining patio is just stunning. We snacked on the shiitake mushrooms which are one of the best things on the menu as well as the crabcakes and bacon wrapped scallops - all delicious. I give the staff and the ambience five stars! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. We have not tried the dinner menu again but will keep you posted... We will definitely try the brunch on Saturday as well. read more

This place is beautiful, has great views, great service and wonderful food. The prices are reasonable for what you get as well. It came highly recommended and definitely didn't disappoint. I ordered the espresso rubbed pork with sweet potatoes and kale- DELICIOUS! My mom got the a burger which she enjoyed. Another friend got steak and raved about it. My mai tai tasted spectacular. Note: the reservations say go through Yelp but I had to call as the system was down. If you are trying to book reservations through Yelp and it says unavailable please call you definitely don't want to miss out. read more

This place has a great location overlooking one of the local lakes and has a lot of space for dining. We made reservations on a Friday night, but we realized quickly that this step was not necessary in securing a table because there was not a lot of customer traffic. However, we were happy to be joining for their happy hour and the outdoor scenery. Our view was a little skewed due to the lack of cleanliness of their windows, but I can only imagine how difficult it is to keep them clean at all times. First, we sat for a few cocktails and appetizers on the restaurant side as there is a tasting room on the other end. Our waitress was very sweet and efficient. We all shared a few appetizers which included Bacon Jalapeño Shrimp, Crab cakes, and Bruschetta - they were all fairly enjoyable. We decided to venture over to the "Tasting Room", but I will admit, there is nothing special or really different between this room and the main restaurant. They have the same exact food and drink menu, however, you can order a wine flight which is decently priced but the wine was not very good. It tasted stale from maybe the bottles being open for too long. We also sat for at least 40 minutes waiting for the waiter/bartender to take our order. We did ask him to give us a few minutes after sitting down to make a our decisions, but then we had to wave him down to finally pay attention to us. Mind you, there were only 4 tables and we arrived first so that was really not the best experience to start out. Once each of us decided on a small plate entrée, my wife and I were not impressed. The Petite Chopped Steak was pretty lackluster. This place has a great location which is why I'm giving it 3 stars, but I struggle to find the desire to return in the future. read more

The setting is beautiful, but the food was not great especially for what we paid. I ordered steak frites and the fries came out completely cold. My steak was cooked right however the sauce on it was more like a watery jam than an actual demi-glaze. The bacon wrapped scallops were very undercooked. The waitress only checked on us once at the end of our meal and didn't bother to ask why we hadn't much. I won't be going back. read more

First time visiting. The location sits on a marina and beautiful lake ripe for fishing and boating. We dined for dinner and the sunset views were breathtaking. There is ample dining space inside, outside and in the wine tasting room, which also has outside seating. The location includes several special event spaces and a cute gazebo for outside ceremonies. Now, for the food. I regret not taking photos. The presentation was as good as the food. Our party dined on: Thai steak salad Baby's back ribs with potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts Asparagus and filet mignon. Amy restaurant serving creme brûlée is my kinda place. We ate dinner here twice in the same week and had completely different experiences. The first time the service was great and prompt, but the next time our server kept disappearing over and over. At least the food was very good both times and the view can't be beat. For our first meal, we started by sharing an Ahi Tuna appetizer that featured perfectly seared and seasoned tuna. We then each had a salad, then the "lite" version of the Petite Chopped Steam and Surf & Turf plates. The food was so good and our server so fantastic (thank you Ashley!) we decided to come back the next night. For our second meal, we started with the Crab Cakes, which were delicious and chock full of crab. We followed that up with the "lite" Stuffed Shrimp, which featured a very tasty stuffing that did not overwhelm the shrimp. While the food both times was great, the service the second time was almost non-existent. Our server kept popping out to deal with his other tables, but seemed to forget we existed. We finally flagged down a different server to check on the status of our appetizer, and he informed us it had never been put in. After that was fixed, we constantly had to flag other people down to get served. What was really irritating is that the day before, we ordered 4 courses and were done in under 1-1/2 hours; the second day we only ordered 3 courses but were still there s-1/2 hours later. Talk about night and day! I read other reviews saying the problem was being short staffed, While that might explain some of it, I think our problem was that we were given a server who could only handle two tables at a time, which didn't include us. We might be back again for the food and view, but not for a while. A real shame! read more

We went for our 20th Anniversary celebration and EVERYTHING was outstanding. We had the charcuterie board as appetizer, sometimes I stay away from these as the items tend to be dry but everything tasted fresh. Husband and I ordered from the small plates the lollipop lamb chops and the surf & turf skewers and they were both cooked to perfection. Taste was amazing. My kids ordered the flat iron streak and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned. For desert we ordered créeme brûlée, vanilla ice cream and lava cake.....all amazing. Our server was amazing also. We've been there before for brunch, over 2 years ago and it was also great. But last night, have to say it exceeded my expectation. Highly recommend it! read more

We recently visited here and were pleasantly surprised. They've redone the entire building so that it has a modern but casual atmosphere. The views are great with all of the windows although you do have the option to eat outside if you'd like. The staff worked with me on gluten-free options and custom made me an entree per my request. All of the salads and entrees were very good. After dinner we walked over to their wine bar and had a flight of wine alongside a fire pit. What more can you ask for? Seriously, if you're tired of the chain restaurants in Northwest Arkansas and are just looking to mix things up, do yourself a favor and check out this place. It's worth the short drive! read more

Went here for a date on Valentine's Day with my girlfriend. Nice atmosphere l, good service, and decent food. My complaint tho is that the average meal price on all review and booking sites is 20-30; that was not the case. Despite no advertisement or disclaimer anywhere online, we were presented with a pre set menu with no prices listed. We both enjoyed our meal but can't say I enjoyed it $130 worth for a relatively simple standard dinner for 2. Nothing crazy was ordered either, just the standard chicken and fish options. Decent spot but probably won't be returning for a price that could get you nearly 3 meals for 2 at restaurants of the same caliber in NWA. read more

Came here this past Saturday for a nice dinner on the lake for the first time. I had family in town and thought it would be the perfect place to go. We had early reservations at 5pm. As the night went on it became more and more crowded. I don't think I would say reservations are required, but I would recommend it. Majority of all the tables have a view or at least somewhat of a view. I would recommend requesting to be seated near the window. There is some outside seating as well. Customer service was great. The hostesses, our waitress and everyone we encountered. Our waitress was so friendly, personable and helpful. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice, higher end. I appreciated the look and feel of the whole evening. Everything on the menu looked delicious, so it was hard to choose. We had the truffle fries and cauliflower for an appetizer. Both were good. I ordered the trout for my entree and it was good. Everyone liked what they got. The only reason this is not 5 stars is because I was expecting the food to be better. It wasn't bad ... it was good, but it just didn't have that extra something I was hoping for, especially for the price and whole ambiance of the evening. My first time here had me wowed by the beautiful lake and marina views. The food was just ok unfortunately. I had the lobster bisque, a side salad and the small plate stuffed shrimp. Their website has, in a very prominent place, a link to "Make A Reservation" but when you click on that, you get taken to a page that gives you a choice to make a reservation on Yelp or to call for a reservation. Clicking on the "Reserve a table on Yelp" link takes you to the Yelp page for the restaurant and if you scroll ALLLllllll the way down, there is a not too obvious link for "Book a Table in Bella Vista" which is the only actionable link related to reservations. If you click on that, you get to a "Best Reservations in Bella Vista" page on Yelp where the Lakepoint is featured among other options. Click on that and you go back to the first Yelp page you landed on after clicking on "Reserve a table on Yelp" on their website. So, in other words, you get to go round and round and round and go absolutely no where. So OK, I call to make a reservation. But today is Tuesday, they are not open on Tuesday so you cannot make a reservation. Bottom line, the links to make a reservation on Yelp needs to be removed and the reference to making a reservation should be updated to reflect that it can only be done during listed business hours. A total waste of time - so now I get to choose whether my party should take a chance on getting a table on Wednesday at Lakepoint or simply opt to dine elsewhere where the ability to make a reservation is actually actionable. Not a good first impression at all. read more
