I had a 9:30 AM scheduled appointment for a thyroid ultrasound. I ultimately wasn't taken back until 11:46 AM -- more than two hours after my scheduled appointment. The actual ultrasound took approximately eight minutes; I walked out at 11:54 AM. What is most upsetting is that there was never a proper explanation for why I had to wait so long. I was told there was one person ahead of me who was in the room, but that does not explain why I continued waiting for well over an hour. I asked about the delay twice. When I spoke with another employee at the front desk, she actually said, "I don't understand why you're still waiting." That statement says a lot. If your own staff member couldn't understand why I was still sitting there, then why couldn't someone simply explain what was happening or acknowledge that there had been an unreasonable delay? I completely understand that medical offices can run behind. What I do not accept is being left waiting for more than two hours with no clear explanation and not receiving even a basic apology. My time is valuable too. The eight-minute ultrasound was not the problem. The problem was the unexplained two-hour-and-sixteen-minute wait before I was finally taken back. Today I was at your office early morning to take a friend for an MRI. while waiting I observed your front desk staff treat patients rudely and with disdain. One was treated terribly because he was asking for help with his ride but did not speak Spanish, and some in your staff don't speak English. Whether the language spoken was English or Spanish your front desk staff is extremely rude. read more

In the morning I was called by their appt staff and told "come in now". I was fully unaware my Doc had sent referral electronically to them. I told her 'I am working now, I can't just leave, give me an appt for later". She did for 4 pm. I walked into the center, up the elevator to the 2nd floor where I paid my copay was due immediately and after waiting 10 min the receptionist at the desk said "it's going be a while". All staff went home at 5pm, only 2 employees left, the receptionist and the tech. The cleaning crew arrived and were doing their thing. Did I say my appt was for 4pm? Yeah I thought so. At no point was I updated with an estimated time of how much longer I would have to wait. All my plans for that evening went royally down the drain. Finally Fast Forward 4 hours, 45 min I was called in, took under 10 min for my test and I was done. The tech did not speak much and did not answer my questions fully. As I was exiting the long hallway, I stopped by the bathroom, all the floors wet, no yellow signs for "Caution Wet Floor". I would imagine because patients are not supposed to be there at that time. Let's just say I will never be stepping foot again in that facility for a test. Wi-Fi was locked, reception spotty and took so long my cell phone was drained. As per usual I will be attending all future testing at Baptist, where it is professional, wait time is 10 min tops, staff is professional, personable and informative. I normally make the drive to the diagnostic center on 87th ave. which is a very professional establishment. I decided to go closer to home. My first complaint is that no one speaks English. When I told the receptionist I had an appointment, she just stared at me. I repeated I have an appointment at 11:45, which she then acknowledged. When I was called in, I was taken to a room where a woman spoke to me in a very robotic tone. She told me to take off everything from the waist up. When I asked about my pants because the area of concern is below the waist, she said you will be asked to lower your pants. So upon hearing that, I removed my belt. She then responded, it is not necessary to remove your belt. To which I responded, it makes it easier to lower my pants. And again she responded. It is not necessary. What concern is it of hers if I remove my belt? In addition, you are asked to change in a room with clear windows. I drove around to see if the windows were blackout and they are not. The Diagnostic Center provides small rooms for you to change and a robe to wear so that you are comfortable as you complete your procedures. The whole experience felt very cold, robotic and uncaring. It's the total opposite of The Diagnostic Center where you are greeted with professionalism, care and coffee! Definitely my last time here. Patients already come in worried and this attitude does not help. read more

I made the mistake of giving them one more chance. I called four times including the morning of my appointment and waited on hold for at least thirty minutes each time, to confirm that they had me scheduled on the larger MRI machine for my 3 MRIs. Never answer their phones, they don't get back to me on email which are the only two ways of making an appointment virtually. So I have to come in person to make an appointment. I have called about 7 times in the last 3 days because this is important to me, and have been left on hold for god knows how long. Never got the chance to be treated by this place . Waited over 30 minutes to make the appointment. Then called to verify on the day of the appointment and again waited over 30 minutes just to give my info and ultimately get disconnected . Do you think the girl had the decency to call back, no she did not. I was not going to spend another 30 min on the phone with the chances of having the same thing occur, so I will have my doctor refer me elsewhere. Went for an five minute procedure, waited just over two hours, with an appointment, because there's only one tech to do bone density tests and ekgs. THE STAFF DESERVES 5/5 STARS. THEY WERE WORKING THEIR BUTTS OFF AND WERE VERY CURTIOUS!!!!!! THE problem is obvious, they overbook patient appointment. Overbooking stinks especially for patients that think they're going to be seen at their appointment time. The solution is simple, I think. Open a second office with techs on short term contracts. That way you can let them go if things slow down. They're more expensive but will be worth it when you can see more patients and improved satisfaction. I've been here twice within two weeks with each of my parents and each visit we had to wait over two hours. During our wait time, there was not one other person waiting that did not complain of the ridiculous wait time. on top of that the staff is rude when responding to customers. Our first contact with this server was horrible. Their excuse to refuse an appointment long time expected to start a cancer treatment was that their machine to effect a PET scan was broken. They ignore that another hospital must have a similar machine.
