I went to him to see what he was going to do. He said everything was fine. Its just a little hiccup that just put you back a month. He said to me, he wrote a note to my therapist while I was in his room. Starting that he talked to my therapist about my new orders, what to do for my ankle. When I got to therapy. My therapist never received or talked to him at all about my new care plan. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HIM. HE RUINED MY ANKLE. ITS WORSE NOW THEN BEFORE MY SURGERY. NOT A GOOD CHOICE IF YOU NEED SURGERY.

The prior authorization staff failed…read moreto submit a second authorization request for an MRI (insurance denied the first one because I had not done physical therapy, and the doctor submitted a new authorization request afterwards), called the day before the procedure, told me insurance denied it, and said I would need to either self-pay or reschedule. I called my insurance, and they told me the second authorization request was never submitted. Bet! The doctor's assistant went to bat for me, and once the paperwork was submitted it was approved. Meanwhile, the prior authorization manager LIED and said she personally asked the doctor to do a peer review with insurance and hit it approved for me. The doctor and the insurance company both said that didn't happen, and peer reviews only occur if they are appealing a denial, Their intake paperwork states that patients are responsible for obtaining all prior authorizations, never mind that we lack the resources to submit paperwork to do so, the chief operating officer dismissively told me it doesn't really mean that, but apparently it does. Patient beware!

The way he talks down to hospital staff is just another reflection of his arrogance. I've been fighting this infection for nearly a year, and have to have the entire knee replacement removed due to his negligence. Thankfully the doctors at Rush Hospital in Chicago are now cleaning up his mess. Avoid him at all costs.

I will never go back here ever! I will gladly pay the $1,000 that it costs to go to South Bend orthopedics for office call and shots in both knees so I can walk. I get that those are important, however she should have been brought back and seen in between at least or someone should have explained this to us beforehand so we could have called the pt specialist and changed her appointment. Also, supposedly no one showed my dad how to take the orthotic brace off and she was not able to let her arm breath, skin integrity is awful. Her brace was so tight on her arm it wouldn't even come off correctly. Also, the wheel chair in the facility was not the best condition. The handle kept coming off and needs replaced. No communication from the receptionist just oh I need to move you out of the way. I would give 0 stars if I could.

He and his nurse (Gayle), are both efficient, thorough, honest, straightforward, professional, knowledgeable, and empathetic. From the first meeting with him regarding the severity of the injury and what needs to be done in order to "fix" the damage...I felt comfortable and knew that my son is going to be in good hands. Dr. Levitz performed a 3-hour surgical procedure on my son at the Ravine Way Surgery Center in August 2018. This is an outpatient surgical center for orthopedic surgeons seeing patients from NorthShore University Health System and Illinois Bone & Joint Institute. My son still goes to Physical and Occupational Therapy sessions, and he is healing slowly but surely. He also meets with Dr. Levitz every couple of weeks to make sure that his healing is right on track. He has been consistent with communicating with me and my son on his progress and continuous care plan. Dr. Levitz, you are awesome. My son and I are thankful for you.

The therapist (ATI) recommended by Hinsdale Orthopedics was totally incompetent but I was JUST getting my range of motion back and the MUA caused swelling putting me back to square one. Had he not done that, I would've gotten my ROM back. Insurance dropped me because I "wasn't making progress". I fell into deep depression as I was an extreme athlete and now I'm a cripple with a cane.
