When he did come to the table he was friendly and kind but did not come except to take our order, bring it to the table and bring the bill. This was one of my favorite places to eat, especially for a Sunday brunch. I must say this was the worse experience from a "service" standpoint I have had. First, the food is good and always is. BTW, parking is off street but it can be busy and they have a parking area across the road from the restaurant. Now the sad part. I showed up with 6 of us for lunch. We asked for one pineapple Mimosa while waiting for others to arrive. When the waitress brought it out, it was in two plastic cups of champagne and one cup of orange juice, not pineapple. I was confused and was wondering if she expected us take a drink of OJ and then a drink of champagne. She also said she accidentally put in two orders of Mimosa instead of one and kind of paused to see what we would do. We said we would go ahead and accept both. That is when I asked how we supposed to drink this with no way to mix them together since the cups were full. I also asked why did we not get a real Mimosa already mixed together in glass, which is how I have had them before at this restaurant. She said they did not allow glass on the porch and walked away. When she came back with more plastic cups and kind of dumped them on the table (see pic), I told her I was confused again because the people behind us had their Mimosa in a glass, which is what I have always had in the past. It was at this point the waitress got very irritated and blunt for most of the rest of our meal. I asked the other waitress that was also serving us and asked if I could speak with the manager. The waitress who was irritated came out and asked what is wrong. I told her I wanted to express my displeasure with the manager. She said the manager is busy tending bar and that she was the "head waitress". At this point, I just wanted to finish my meal and get out of there. Even then I had to go flag down a waitress just to pay my bill. I would point out the other server was very helpful and even apologized for the "confusion". One of the most underrated restaurants in town. Great place for dinner with specials each week. Some great burgers that are a staple in the menu each week along with a weekly creation from the chef. You can see the French cuisine influence across the menu. Some of the best sauces I have experienced in Chattanooga. Now Sunday brunch is one of the best in town. The jalapeño gravy is beyond addictive. Specials each Sunday and today it just happened to be breakfast nachos. See attached pic. Of course I added the jalapeño gravy as well. WORST F'ing PLACE EVER I honestly feel like the way my family and I were being treated was targeted and racist asf. We arrived and were sat... 20 minutes passed by and no server came and 3 TABLES we're sat and even got drinks!! We still had nothing until one of us went up to the host and told them the issue and finally a server came after 10 minutes to get our drink orders, we went ahead and placed our food orders as well then after another 10 minutes we finally had our drinks! Morgan was our server bubbly and very friendly. She knows the menu & recommended items of drink menu as well as appetizers and entrees. Describing the way things were prepared & the different sauces & side items. On Morgan's recommendation I ordered a Lakeshore Mule made with Gin it has fresh lime juice, ginger purée & topped with sparkling water. DELICIOUS!! Bill had tropical margarita. We had the Lakeshore Fries they were yummy. I had the Balsamic Salmon it was seared crisp on both sides, moist & cooked perfectly. Loved this dish. Bill enjoyed his salmon fettuccini said it was best. Dessert was perfect finish to our meal. I had the key lime pie made @ a local bakery. Bill had chocolate cake with ice cream. One day I stumbled upon this place while driving and I knew I wanted to go sometime. I finally went and absolutely loved it. I went on a Thursday( which is girls night) so there were incredible deals which was a steal. Me and my roommate just went for cocktails and appetizers. We loved what we had! My wife and I were in town looking for a home. We came upon this amazing place right on the lake. We came for Sunday brunch right around noon and noted a vibrant crowd. We chose to sit at the bar where the owner, Brooke, waited on us. Her sense of humor and welcoming spirit was infectious. For drinks, I had a Screwdriver while my wife had a Bloody Mary. Both were super fresh and wonderful. For mains, I had the Filet Mignon Benedict while she had the French Toast with Country Sausage. Best we've ever had. Definitely a locals spot, this place is FANTASTIC! We had a great seat by the window after a short wait, and had a great sunset during our meal. Service was extraordinary, fast and efficient. Very good seafood! We stopped here after dark so we couldn't see much, but could tell this place would have an amazing view during daylight. We started with the shellfish dip and then got sea scallops and she-crab snapper for entrees. The entrees were cooked to perfection and came with a delicious sauce. There were a couple other appetizers that sounded great that we would probably try instead next time. The food was a little slow to come out but they have a great drink menu to keep you occupied during the wait. The sides were underwhelming but the seafood mains truly made up for it. We just left the Lakeshore Grille, and what a disappointment. I have eaten here before, and really enjoyed it.. but we won't be back anytime soon. The food all tasted like it was several days old.. even the Bloody Mary tasted stale! Bacon, gravy, sausage, everything we tried was old. My wife asked for limes for her water.. they had no lime juice in them.. they were dry as a bone. Finally, and this was the worst part, we found not one, not two, but THREE hairs in our meals! The tuna lollys had that freezer burn taste that tends to linger even after swallowing. The fish and chips plate was ....ok, like the hand cut chips were awesome but the fried salmon was BLEH... And I LOVE salmon. That's where I noticed the most taste of a walk-in cooler, not sure if it was the batter or what, but it was overpowering to the say the least. This has always been one of mine and my family's favorite spots for dinner with a view, so we decided to bring my dad here for his father's day dinner. Normally, everything is delicious at this spot, but this time we ended up leaving a little disappointed. We started out with the appetizer house made chips with chipotle ranch and they were delicious as usual! I ordered the grouper almondine, which was served with veggies and potatoes and was absolutely delicious. My mom ordered the she-crab snapper, which was also really good. On the other hand, my dad ordered the ribeye special and ended up being pretty disappointed with it. It seemed to not be a good cut of meat with it being mostly fat. This being a special, it also ended up being pretty pricey. All in all, th8is was definitely disappointing to my dad, as it was supposed to be his Father's day meal. But I will say, of the many times I've been here, this is the only meal we've ever been disappointed with, so I'm sure we will be back. read more
