Caesar salad and Sweet & Spicy Chicken take out order.
    Mario M.

This is a great spot! We eat here at least once a month, however, we typically take out Vs dining in. It's a great spot for a date, group dinner and/or work event, since they have a private dining room. The service is always great whenever we dine in or pick up. I usually order the Cesar Salad and sweets and spicy chicken and my wife loves the Cobb salad with fried chicken. The fried chicken is so good! It's probably the best in town since Champys kinda went downhill after Covid. They have a full bar in the back of the restaurant with TV's, which is a bit more casual, and it's also where you pick up the take out orders. I recommend this place a lot.

Our first time visiting Chattanooga and Public house. Must say service and food have not disappointed. Our server Andy was exceptional and knowledgeable. Her recommendations went a long way with our choices. All were hits imo. Quality and freshness was top notch. Restaurant was pet friendly as we brought our puppy. I personally enjoyed my steak and fries and my wife loved her quail. I highly recommend this restaurant and also ask for Andy.

Saturday early evening, few minutes after 5 and crowds started to come. We were lucky to find a street parking (pay by phone) right outside the restaurant, but there's ample parking in the building and the restaurant provided parking ticket validation. We ordered the flounder special and the grilled pork tenderloin. Both are delicious. The place is nicely decorated and it has ample seating outdoor (covered porch) as well.

First restaurant we visited in town. Our server gave great suggestions on wine and food. The service was great and the food was delicious. Would definitely come back! The ambiance was perfect.

Met with a good friend who actually works in the same building as this nice restaurant. Connor was our server, and he helped tremendously in making our experience memorable. In terms of the dishes, a bit of a mixed bag. The trout appeared a bit dry, the cabbage was presented as spicy but was quite mild and the beets were nice. the chicken livers were great though, same for the house salad. Oh yes, and desserts! Jack Daniels cake was OK but the carrot cake was amazing. Both were HUGE so the coffee I kept on refill was more than welcome. Two glasses of neat sambuca to complete our experience. 10/10 on service, 7/10 on food and 8/10 on the ambiance.

Fried chicken and Mac and cheese.

We started with the fried pickes and pimento cheese, we not totally sure how it was all coming out but it was delightful. The fried pickles were lightly battered and had the right amount of sour and the pimento spread was full of flavored and tasted great on the slightly chard bread. Then we had the fried chicken with Mac and cheese and the cheeae burger with fries. Again we were not disappointed. The Mac and cheese was so creamy and left me wanting more and the chicken was full of flavor and had a great crispy skin. The burger was cooked exactly how I wanted and the shoestring fries were incredible. We will definitely go back. An our server was fantastic, he knew exactly what he would recommend and was super friendly and knowledgeable.

Stopped by Public House in Chattanooga for lunch and tried the Mahi lunch special, and it was very good and such a reasonable price! The fish was perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions were just right, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely a great spot for a nice lunch in the city -- I'll be back to try more of their specials! There's a parking garage in the area and they will validate it for you!

Last night we were starving, and ready to eat! This was the second restaurant we tried to go to at 7pm on a Friday and they were able to get us seated immediately. Thankfully, we ordered fried pickles as an appetizer and they were brought to us within a few minutes. We also got cranberry lime mules, along with the pot roast and Cobb salad. Everything was sooo good! Our salad was supposed to have boiled eggs on it but didn't, but that was the only thing wrong! I loved the ranch - best restaurant ranch I have ever had. The inside has a nice vibe and they dimmed the lights, which I like for a dinner atmosphere. Service was quick, and the girls at the hostess stand were so nice.

Ooo-WEE!! This place is legit!!! My friend and I snagged a same-day reservation and came inside to beat the heat. Every single person we encountered from the hostess, to our server (Ian?), to the manager (who checked on us multiple times!), was awesome. The food, though, was what really stole the show! We started with biscuits and fried okra. The okra was full pieces of crispy okra with a spectacular remoulade sauce. Umm!! So good!! The biscuits were good and plentiful--they came with homemade jellies, butter, and prosciutto--I'm not crazy about prosciutto, but I enjoyed the mountain of biscuits and there were so many that I got three meals out of them!! For our entrees we got the Cobb salad and the fried chicken with Mac and cheese--both were EXCELLENT, and again, enough for several meals. The flavor, though, was fantastic! Especially the mac and the fried chicken--elevated, but accessible. Delicious!!

Chicken with pretty good Mac and cheese.

Service was awesome. I ordered the fried chicken. It was cooked perfectly, juicy, it just needed more pizazz in the crust. I thought it was boring. The Mac and cheese was a bit too runny and needed more cheese than cream or butter. But I finished it. It was pretty good. The wife enjoyed the great steak and wedge salad. It was tender and cooked to perfection.

    The pot roast.

This was our second visit to Chattanooga and both times we've eaten dinner at Public House. We also got the pot roast dinner each time and split a Caesar salad because it is huge. Our waiter Noah was so nice and friendly. It is in a cute area and looks like and old house inside. Delicious food and drinks.

We had a reservation that was taken promptly, our service was convenient but I wouldn't say pleasant. We ordered the veggie pizza (great flavor, slimy texture from too many mushrooms etc 4/5) the ceasar salad (started with some finesse 4/5) and the jerk cauliflower(5/5). The only item we were disappointed in was the wings (1/5). Now let me explain. Wooden city reads as a smart modern, quality of food type of location. The wings were great values finest: and thus were huuuuge and unappetizing. Yall pull up, just don't get the wings lol

Upon entering we were greeted by warm and friendly staff. Wait time was reasonable (20 mins) and there was a fair amount of seating. There were about 3-4 groups waiting to be seated. We were walked through the establishment and seated at a booth table near the bar. If you are into sports you can see the TVs from just about every seat. The waitress arrived shortly after our seating and took our appetizer and drink order. We started with the Triple B. The fries came out quickly, were hot, fresh and delicious. The drink I ordered was out, but the waitress gave another option, but unfortunately that was out as well. Ended up having an old favorite, Guinness. For our meals we ordered the smoked brisket French dip and the wagyu burger. Upon ordered the burger our waitress informed us there was a shortage of patties and if we still wanted the burger we would get one patty instead of two, but at a lower cost. Both dishes were amazing and we couldn't finish them as both the fries and the entrees were larger in comparison to other places we have eaten. Overall this was a great experience with great food. The only thing we had difficulty with is having to use the phone flashlight to read the menu as the lighting was really dim. Will definitely return if we take another trip here.

Watching the chefs work their magic while enjoying Oyster Happy Hour was dinner and a show all in one. I sampled seven oysters from seven different regions, and my favorite raw oyster was the Cold Creek from Washington. It was clean, briny, and perfectly balanced. As much as I enjoyed the raw oysters, the true star of the evening was the Hearth Roasted Oyster. Buttery, silky, and kissed with just a hint of citrus, they were absolutely unforgettable. The Smoked Grouper Rillette was a pleasant surprise. Rich and smoky, it was elevated by bread-and-butter pickles that added a Southern touch and cut through the richness beautifully. The saltines were classic, but the twice-baked crackers brought an extra layer of crunch that I loved. The King Salmon Crudo was incredibly refreshing. The salmon had a delicate sweetness that paired perfectly with the fresh vegetables, while the serrano peppers added just enough heat to keep every bite interesting. Even the vegetables impressed me. The baby carrots were perfectly tender, and the chimichurri's bright acidity balanced the creamy richness of the toum. For my entrée, I ordered the Gramigna, which was fantastic. The sauce was packed with flavorful andouille sausage from a local butcher and finished with delicious Tomme de Lafayette cheese. Comfort food with a refined touch. To top it all off, the team surprised me with a strawberry gelato for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The entire staff had amazing energy and worked together like a well-oiled machine. Sitting at the oyster bar gave me a front-row seat to the action, and my hands cramped just thinking about how many oysters they shucked throughout the evening. The aromas coming from the kitchen were intoxicating. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming, with large windows overlooking the covered patio. At one point, I even spotted a horse-drawn carriage taking a couple on a romantic ride outside, which felt like something out of a movie. The upbeat soundtrack kept the vibe lively, and the extensive bar menu offered plenty of creative cocktails and mocktails. A special thank you to Chef Ben, who took great care of me and even poured my aguachile tableside so I could capture it for a video. Chef Emery and Chef Skylar were also fantastic. It's clear this team takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail.
