The place itself is sketchy. Kinda expected to hear banjos playing. A guy was yelling at another guy up on the second floor, and there was nobody in the office. I went to my room, and was engaged in a conversation with the guy who was working on the room upstairs. Not quite sure what his deal was, but he explained that he was busy: a busy bee, although he said he hadn't gotten any honey yet. Perhaps a friend of Walter White? I was feeling pretty good when I saw that my room had no neighbors. Just a large room with a metal door in between my room and the next. Turns out the room with the metal door had some sort of industrial equipment in it, and it let out a loud hum for the first three hours of my stay. The room I stayed in looked nothing at all like the pictures that were provided on any of the travel sites. It smelled musty, and was not well kept up. I stayed in hotels with similar reviews in Moses Lake, and they've been fine. This one was not. read more

The guy on the phone went from "its clean!!" to "its clean with MAYBE some stains" but the carpet is new? ONLY Acknowledging my issues when I said well I have Photos. I get the feeling that a lot of this inn's business is from concert weekends at the Gorge. Why do I think this, you may ask? Well, we stayed here because we were seeing a show at the Gorge. Also, when I checked in, the guy at the front desk said "are you here for the show?"... and lastly, I heard 2 separate groups talking about the show the night of, and the next day before we checked out. So there's that. Lakeshore Inn has beds. Do you need a place to sleep? You're in luck! How about a shower? They have those too! Don't want to make the huge trek back to Portland or Seattle after a concert at the Gorge? They're only a 30 minute drive away! Other than that, I don't have much else to say. Beds weren't that comfy, but that's okay. I was honestly surprised that they had a microwave, and mini fridge in the room! Didn't expect much other than a bed, tv, and bathroom. Air conditioner was a window mounted unit, and it didn't really do much for heat and was mainly a source of white noise for us to sleep to. We ended up just opening the window half way through the night. The shower is PAINFUL. It's a really low showerhead, which pointed right at my sternum while standing up straight (I'm about 6' 1"). Holy crap, does it have water pressure though! I turned it on at full pressure, and it just about blew the skin off my body. Don't turn it up all the way, is what I'm saying. Lastly, ANTS. The next morning, I found ants running around in the bathroom. If we had been staying here longer than a day, I actually would have cared. The only reason I mention it here, is so that people can make an informed decision about where they're staying the night. All in all, the front desk guy was really nice, and the place served it's purpose. Would I stay here again? Maybe? I don't know... $100 for an uncomfortable bed, a barely alive AC unit, an unpleasant shower experience, and ants? Maybe not. read more

My husband and I snagged this place up knowing we would want a place to stay after the concert we were seeing at The Gorge Amphitheater. We didn't really care, just wanted a bed and a shower. That's what you get here. It's a motel. Plain and simple. The bed was pretty hard, but it did the job. Let's just say we were thrilled to sleep in my own bed when we got home. The shower was a little difficult. I'm 5'7" and I had to duck down to get my head under the shower head. It looked old (like everything about the motel), and like it hadn't had an upgrade for quite awhile. Ok, whatever. It worked, right? I just wanted to feel clean after a nearly 5 hour car ride from Portland. The pressure of the shower at least was more powerful than expected! We got the two things we needed, all be it a little uncomfortable. We weren't expecting much. They get kudos for having a mini fridge, a/c, and a microwave. Also, the guy at the front desk was nice, according to my husband. But overall, unfortunately we won't be returning. The price they charge isn't worth the return. read more

We stayed one might here. It was very nice. We will usually pick a best western motel when were on the road somewhere, they are nice and clean, and they usually have a continental breakfast. We are not big breakfast eaters but you can have waffles, omelets, sausage, potatoes, and all the basics. We were in a view room right on the lake, we had a beautiful sunset that night. We watched a little marmot outside our door. Very nice stay. read more

This motel was probably one of the worst motels I have ever been to,the Office hardly had enough space for two people to even stand in while we were getting checked in. As we had gotten into the room we noticed that everything was very small, the outlets were messed up and we couldn't really plug anything into them. The shower was so short that I (being 5'3) had a hard time in the shower, also they are now charging us $100.00 because we apparently "damaged" the room even though it wasn't nice to begin with, they're also saying that a few towels and sheets were messed up, the only thing I can think of that is was, was because my hair is dyed and bleeds the color sometimes but I do not think that there should be a charge for something that can be bleached. The bed was very uncomfortable and each time that we had the room cleaned we then found these berries from a catapult cactus and we contentiously stepped on them because they were all over the foot of the bed. In conclusion I would NOT recommend this Motel to ANYONE it was an awful service and place to deal with. read more

Although the location of this motel is on the water, very large shrubs block the view. We didn't mind that the motel is old, but there wasn't anything nice about it. It is probably the worst place we've stayed. Everything in the room was shabby. This shabbiness included the sloppy paint job, moldy and shockingly bad caulking, old bed coverings, thrift store furniture. We weren't expecting luxury, but the lack of care in the place was obvious. There were flower pots on the lobby steps, but the lobby was like a title shack. No breakfast either. read more

This is not a fancy, overpriced, snooty resort. It's clean, inexpensive, comfy beds, nice showers, microwave & fridge in EVERY ROOM. Free WiFi. Right on the lake, access to the water, docks for boats. Family owned and very laid back attitude. read more

It took me way to long to fulfill my promise to the owners to write this review, for this I apologize. I honestly forgot to do it. That aside, this hotel is awesome. It is a bit funky, super affordable, overall a great place to stay for Sasquatch or for any other thing that brings you out to the Gorge. They have nice views of the lake and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and recently remodeled. Their puppy Roxie had found a stray kitten while we were there and decided that they were friends (though the kitten didn't seem to completely agree). The kitten got to hang out in our room and we got to play catch with Roxie. The staff was super sweet and accommodating. We will be back!! read more

The FAMILY who owns this hotel were phenomenal! The father, mother and daughter were AMAZING HOSTS! They were/are EXTREMELY FRIENDLY and WANT to MAKE SURE you are HAPPY as a guest there! They helped bring my luggage to my room, and were very pro-active about making sure I was satisfied. Additionally, I happened to have stayed in the 'cabin' on the water! I wasn't expecting a lot when I booked this motel. There isn't a whole lot available in Moses Lake. I picked this because of the price, the name, and the photos of the view. I was really disappointed that it was worse than what I expected. This is a Motel, not an Inn. The sign "MOTEL" is on the side of the building. It's two stories. It was seedy enough that we wanted the 2nd floor, but the stairs are very steep and long. I felt unsafe going up and down them, like I'd fall, but I would not want to stay on the first floor. The grounds are kept up best as possible. It looked like someone was trying to fix up the pool. The room was clean. But, I felt like it was "surface" clean. Lots of bleach had been sprayed in the bathroom. It did have a microwave, mini fridge and TV. There were no nightstands for the beds, and one bright overhead ceiling light right over the beds. As other reviewers noted-the mattresses were very hard. I didn't want to lay on the bedspread or walk on the carpets without shoes. It's not a room you want to hang out in, you want to stay away as long as possible. No screen on the window by the bathroom, which looks out over the freeway. The lake "view" is if you're on the top floor and look over the building in front. You can walk down to the lake and there's a couple docks. We were going to stay two nights, but my family did not sleep well on those beds, we did not want to be there any longer, so we decided check out early. The young man at the front desk was very polite when we checked in (he said they had just taken over the motel) and was accommodating when we chose to leave. I hope the new owners can fix up this little motel and make it great, it has a lot of potential. read more

I was taken by surprise by the huge spacious room with a view, along with how I could smell the cleanliness of the room the minute I stepped foot in it. The outside could use a little dressing up, as we almost didn't stay because of it. But I am so glad we did and would stay there again if in the area! Every thing else was full up so we were without options when we paid $80 for this shabby room. The hardest bed, the thinnest towels and the smell of many smokers filled our night. The small air conditioner struggled to over come the 90 degree heat that we roasted in most of the night. Very nice office staff was the best part of this sad tail. read more

from NYC, been on a lot of road trips all over the country. this hotel is a very basic rat bag motel. they should charge $19.99 to stay here not $65 . our bed was very old and bounced around a lot. outside our room were cobwebs , bugs and was dusty. the TV was a model from 1998. so we get up in the morning after a horrid night sleep, and the shower doesn't work. at all. we end up getting the keys to another room and having to shower in that dirt ball shower. I would NOT recommend this place unless u have no choice and would be homeless. read more

I'm at a loss for words.... Whoever owns this place....please, do something about your business. You get what you pay for, I get it, but please fix your broken neon sign outside on the roof that only has the letters "MO" lit up at night, clean the parking lot from trash and debris, and maybe have a professional cleaner remove the smell of smoke from your rooms. read more

A resort? You have to be kidding me! We booked our reservation for a day out boating on the lake. After we arrived it was clear there wasn't a large enough place to park our truck and boat. We asked to see the room and found while it was clean it smelled and was not what we were expecting. When we voiced our concern about the parking the owner would not even listen to our concern. Where we could park was clearly labeled " no parking". When we told him it wasn't going to work for us he told us he was going to charge our card anyway. Is that anyway to run a business? They told us we'd have no issue with our large rig and when we got there that wasn't the case. So we went across the road and found a much better value.
