Sometimes I'm a glutton for punishment, since my initial review I've come here several times. Since then my experience has changed and my initial experience must have been an outlier. The staff I have interacted with have been super nice. The last time I went to buy something, there was just a floor model out and I was going to buy and and the women who saw it in my hand and stopped me to say she thought there was one more new in box item in the back and checked and there was. This store is also a decent size, not the biggest I've seen but they have had everything I have needed. Also when they had their ornaments sale this past year they did say the sales where final which was a great bonus as it was my original gripe. All in all worth going and stopping in if you need a small gift or a card. There is ample parking which is a great boon. read more

Well, Norman sure was smart to have this store! I have never seen such a fun store, with cards, animal toys, and other fun stuff that I can't remember since they had so much. Store is clean. Staff is very friendly., I was warmly welcomed by a nice elderly lady. It is a bit small, but it's not a place I would say you should make a full shopping. read more

I walk into this store only under duress. The salespeople are indifferent at best and don't seem to be trained in customer service at all. So, I gingerly walk around the rather cramped store n then to the counter. The lady, whom I could swear was at the register was busy chatting with a customer - away from the counter. Fair enough. She cares a glance at me. Mind. I am the only person in line. No reason. She turns back and continues her conversation. I wait. They continue. No reaction. Finally, after 2 minutes, and obviously, no sign of service in the near future, I catch her eye and raise a questioning eye brow. 'Oh, I am not working now'. There are certain key phrases in the English language that elicit an outburst of awe and excitement when spoken by one person to another. These feelings are even more magnified and pronounced when these phrases are uttered in conjunction with a random act of kindness. So there I was, standing at the register of this Hallmark store, the hapless and helpless husband I am, trying to purchase gift wrapping for my wife's Hannukah present. Unbeknownst to me, I had picked up wrapping paper intended for a newborn boy's gift, thinking that because it was blue, it would clearly suffice for Hanukkah. I'm a goy, what do I know about these things? More importantly, I'm not just a goy, I'm a man, and as a man, what do I know about wrapping gifts? Oh sure, I have wrapped hundreds of gifts in my lifetime. And it ain't pretty. Gifts I wrap myself always trigger the same look on the recipient's face: a combination of sadness and disappointment -- not in terms of the gift itself, of course -- but more a natural response to the obvious patheticness of my attempt to conceal the gift. It must look as if I just tackle the present with a giant sheet of wrapping paper, balling it up and under and around itself, spastically using crinkled up bits of tape to try and hold the paper together under any means necessary. The finished product usually looks as if it had been through a war, half mangled, like I pulled it out of the garbage and was now presenting it as a gift. Yeah, it's sad. But hey, I try. And that's all that should matter, right? Now imagine me at the counter, paying for my stuff, already stressing over how I am going to wrap this gift, wondering how I will distract my wife and kids long enough to actually attempt the wrap when I get home. Will I have to hide in the garage, and attempt to wrap it in the trunk, and then bring it in? How will I get tape and scissors out to the garage without being noticed? Does Hallmark sell scissors and scotch tape? Maybe I could buy those things here, and then do it all out in the parking lot? Shit, it's raining. I can't do that. How the hell am I going to make this happen? And then suddenly, as I stood lost in thought, in the midst of my stress and confusion, Michelle - her name was Michelle -- beautiful, sweet, Michelle -- looked at me and said, "Do you have the present with you?" My brain froze. I locked up. Was she speaking Russian to me? Why is she asking me this? Luckily, the other side of my brain took over and responded for me, "Yes. Yes, I do. It's in the car." And then Michelle uttered one of those key phrases I mentioned before; a phrase up there with, "you've just won the lottery," or "the tests came back and they're negative." I looked up at Michele, we caught eyes, and from her lips came the magic words: "Would you like me to wrap it for you?" Joy! Euphoria! Bliss! Did I hear that correctly? Did she just say what I think she said? Is this really happening right now?? The rest is a blur. When I finally came to, I was driving home, smiling from ear to ear, with the most beautifully wrapped gift I would ever present in my life sitting snugly in the back of the car. It's the day before Valentine's Day and I'm going in to find the things that I need they do have a great selection however as I went upfront with a figurine that had no box I was told that it did have a box I told him I did not see one he said it has to so he's making me feel dumb because I did not see a box then I was told there they had to suspend my order so I must wait I've already been waiting I decided to leave my things and leave I don't need to be treated like crap you don't want my money that's fine but don't have an attitude with me I would not recommend going there unless you want to feel like a complete idiot to be treated like garbage I believe that you should go and support the smaller stores in your town read more

Normally I would say its a pleasant place to shop. Locations is local, parking can be a challenge depending on day and time, because to the shared parking lot with the grocery store. Recently my feelings have changed. I was looking for a specific holiday ornament they were out of. The manager was able to locate it at another location and was going to transfer it to her store. I said I would go get it the same day, but she was insistent on transferring it. (I should have known better) The item supposedly came in the following week while I was out of town (the manager knew I would be away). I told the girl on the phone the exact day I was coming in to pick it up. When I showed up all they had was the note and no item. It appears the staff either has no respect for customer holds/transfers or are not organized enough to place an item in a bag and STAPLE the bag closed with the note so items don't just vanish. The manager is trying to relocate the item, which at the week before Christmas will be impossible. So I am now forced to resort to EBay to locate the item at an inflated price. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! I will be reaching out to 'Norman's' franchise president once I locate his information and contact information. The larger the franchise has grown the more disappointed I have gotten with the stores. They need to go back to the basics of customer service and satisfaction. Not just store sales. read more

This store owner needs to have people skills. She Has no patience is rude , mean attitude and does not know how to speak to people over the phone . She has a fake presences and it shows in her face and attitude . Especially...change the tone of her voice and show respect to All her customers . I have been coming to this location for many years .
