They indeed are a little pricey, but they always have coupons available if you sign up for their text messages, emails, mailers etc. Typically they give coupons for 20% off or buy one get one 50% off. During certain times of the year (summer) they offer 20% off most items in the store. This place is a teacher's fantasy!!! It is always a pleasure going into Lakeshore Learning Store. One word that describes the place is DISNEYLAND. It is Disneyland for teachers! I wanted to buy everything when I went in there. From the awesome bug set to the different bingo sets. Customer Service: The customer service was amazing and the employees were very helpful. They helped me look for everything and spent some time to ask what I was using the stuff. I appreciate that as a customer. Pricing: It is a little pricey, but whenever I go to Lakeshore I make sure to go when there is a sale or I have a good coupon. Overall, it is an awesome place to go to. read more

I love Lakeshore! It is a one stop shop for children's learning tools! I have a 26 month old who knows his shapes, colors, can count to 25, his abcs (months ago) and can identify numbers 1-9 and most of the alphabet. He is just too smart! He loves to paint and do crafts and sing (and anything active as well). To foster his curiousity and encourage him to keep learning we come here. This store is so orgnanized - but just incase you can't find something one of the excellent employees will eagerly help. One gal anticipated my need (maybe it was the confused look on my face). She was so kind and efficient. The store has many opportunities for children to try/play with their products - awesome! It was also colorful amd had great age appropriate music playing in the background. I dont get something, why the hell can you only use coupons on regular priced items? I use coupons here and there at supermarkets and departmemt stores and its nice to pair coupons with sale items, right? I like that there is so much to look at here. Even if I can't afford to buy a lot of things for my class, I get ideas. Also I can make a wish list for my class. If you check in you can get a discount. Also you can sign up for texts and they will send you offers. Right now they have lots of discounts all over the store. Terrific store with incredibly friendly and helpful staff! Every time I have gone there I have been asked if I need help and the employees have guided me to exactly what I need. I especially love and appreciate their sales and coupons for educators. And kudos to how they came through (after some initial friction) for the LAUSD educators on strike! I really want to give them 5 because their products are great - but I placed an order online and it's been one mess after another. First they never notified me that my order was ready. So after a couple days I called and spend 20 minutes on and off hold because they couldn't find it. Then, when they said they found it I told them we would be there before closing same day to pick it up. They promised it would be ready and waiting . When we picked up the order curbside, almost half of the items were not in the bag. We didn't realize until we got home because they seal the bags. Now, I have to leave early to be there when they open to sort this mess out and try to make it to work on time. No one needs this level of frustration for a simple online order. It's heaven for all your teaching supply needs! They have everything you need and then some. The only bummer is the pricing because it adds up quite a bit. I usually only get things like the fadeless paper, borders, and focus center bulletin board sets here. They send out lots of coupons and always have good deals. My first time here & honestly, I was in love! My daughter had so much fun playing with the display toys! The staff was extremely friendly, & continued to ask if I needed any assistance. When it came time to pay, I was shocked with how much I paid with the amount of items I had gotten. Great place for some educational goodies for the little one. Since summer is upon us and school is out I figured it would be great to get some workbooks so she can keep her chops up over summer vacation. I have a love and hate relationship with lakeshore. I love coming here because they have a huge selection of items for the classroom and friendly staff, but whenever I come here I end up spending over $100 dollars each time. It gets expensive shopping here. You could however sign up to earn rewards and notifications for discounts. Lake shore learning is great for school teachers like me. Lots of items you will not find at your local office supply store and if your like me you don't like ordering online. This place is pretty good they have it vacation or toys from toddlers to grade school. Customer service was awesome and I felt at home even though I brought my 18 mo and 3 1/2 year old. I typically go to Lakeshore for their laminator machine. They are quick and easy to utilize and add years to my posters. Lakeshore also has a great assortment of borders and butcher paper. I really like Lakeshore! I can walk around this store forever. My only problem is that they don't have the basics like a variety of sizes for binder rings or black permanent markers sold on their own. They have two laminating machines, but sometimes one is out of order. For basic supplies I'd rather go to Staples or the Education Station.
