Previously, I had visited a different office for almost 10 years, but they kept on trying to get me to do more and more dental work, even if I didn't necessarily need it. And they'd always act like they were giving me some great deal. You can get ***** done for the very low price of 5000.00!! They even went so far as having my come back into the office a month after a cleaning to tell me that if I didn't get some work done, I could DIE from the infection and that I needed to take antibiotics immediately. Of course I freaked out and tried to figure out ways to pay them. When I went back in, they had no idea what I was talking about. Anyways, the point here is to always get a second opinion. I've had too many instances where stuff like this has happened with dental work. Dr. Cannon is a breath of fresh air. He sometimes doesn't even charge for small cavities and stuff. I highly recommend him! He'll tell you what can improve, but he doesn't try to pressure you into doing work.

We had an absolutely terrible experience--not once, but twice--with Boardwalk…read more The first issue was billing-related. They added charges that felt sneaky and weren't clearly communicated. It was frustrating, but not a huge deal, and I decided to give them another chance. Unfortunately, the second experience was far worse and is the reason we will never return. I brought my two sons (ages 8 and 5) in for dental work scheduled at the same time in rooms next to each other. After getting a second opinion at Boardwalk, Dr. Doll told me my kids didn't need as much work as another dentist had recommended, so I trusted that and moved forward with treatment there. My 8-year-old had work done with local numbing, and my 5-year-old was given oral sedation. I was very nervous about sedation and clearly expressed those concerns to the dentist and staff. I was repeatedly reassured that my 5-year-old would never be left unattended--that he would be continuously monitored with a pulse oximeter and that a staff member would have eyes on him at all times. Initially, I stayed with my 5-year-old and checked on my 8-year-old periodically. Then things went south with my 8-year-old. After the dentist said he was finished, my son was in significant pain--pain he did not have before. Despite my concerns, I was told it might just feel "different." After a long time of my child crying, the dentist admitted he likely should have done a root canal (as the first dentist had suggested) and would need to re-numb him and perform one. During this time, I stayed mostly with my 8-year-old, who was understandably very upset. Meanwhile, my 5-year-old--who was supposed to be constantly monitored while sedated--was left alone long enough to severely chew his tongue, lip, and cheek. He was sent home with significant injuries inside his mouth. Over the next few days, it got even worse. He was in so much pain that he barely ate for nearly a week. Two days after dental work, it developed into thrush. When I contacted the dentist after hours and sent photos, I was told it was thrush and was advised to start antibiotics. That didn't sit right with me, so I double-checked. Both a quick online search, and a consultation with a physician confirmed that antibiotics can actually make thrush WORSE. We were able to get an antifungal medication prescribed elsewhere, which resolved the issue after a few more days. As a result of this experience, my child missed a full week of school and was absolutely miserable in pain. Throughout all of this, there was no accountability and no effort made to make things right. When we left their office with a chewed lip, cheek and tongue, I was told Dr. Doll would call to check on my son the next day and that also never happened. This is an incredible office that will take amazing care of you. You start out with Chelsie at the front desk. She is so kind and greets you early each time you visit. Then you go back and you will meet Hannah. I have only been in for 3 visits but these kind young ladies remember who I am and even what my interests are. I had one tooth that was concerning me and I wanted a crown put on it. Through the exam Dr. Allen found a porcelain crown that was cracked. I asked for gold on both crowns and they quoted me a price. I said let's do it and they prepared my teeth and put on temporary crowns. My permanent crowns came in faster than expected so the called and asked if I wanted to come in a few days early. One of the teeth had been a bit sore, so Dr. Allen suggested he not permanently cement that crown and see how it felt in a week. He attached one gold crown permanently and the other he put on temporarily. I have never had a dentist show this kind of care. After a few days my tooth was feeling great and he had me in to put the crown on permanently. There was no extra charge for this and it shows you how much pride they take in their work. Dr. Allen is just amazing at his profession and he is kind. If you are looking for a dentist, you cannot go wrong here. The entire staff treats you like gold and the experience will have you telling your friends. Station Park Dental is the very best of the best.

This is not a place that distinguishes between PTSD and "anxiety" that Hawaii's attitude seems to imply is easy to get and easy to get over with they staff they have. They are also always hiring hygienists- be wary because a high turn over means most are usually in training of some kind and the environment for employees may be lacking what other dentists provide. The handling of this situation was deeply distressing. Promised diagnostics were not completed, explanations were vague, and there was no clear or documented plan for next steps. Despite the financial and emotional weight of losing an implant shortly after completing extensive restorative work, I was left without meaningful follow-up, guidance, or accountability. Communication from the dentist was minimal, and post-procedure interactions felt rushed and impersonal. When I attempted to raise concerns with management, my experience was further minimized. My anxiety and medical complexity were dismissed, and the work was repeatedly framed as "cosmetic," despite its clear functional importance. One was a tooth that he tried to pull and I felt like he was going to break my jaw. I finally pulled his hands out of my mouth and told him to send me to an oral surgeon. He had a son who died, and I had a brother who died. He told me flat out that my pain could not be as bad as his pain. He has no idea how close I was to my brother. The third incident was. I had to have a partial adjusted. It fit my mouth perfectly before coming into the office. I had to leave the partial overnight. The next day I told him it didn't fit my mouth at all, and he accused me of dropping it, and stepping on it, which I think he did while he was in his care. I do not recommend this Dentist
