AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I'm new at writing reviews, but this place deserves it! I needed a root canal, and I looked at Yelp for reviews to find out where I should go. Lakeside Endodontics by far had the best reviews and they sure lived up to it. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a receptionist that came around the desk to the waiting area to greet me with a smile and a hand shake ...that's new. So right away I could tell I was going to get good service. Everything after was pretty routine.. scans, x-rays, etc. Then Dr. Etemadi came in. His bed side manner was very warm and welcoming. "We're gonna take great care of you". The whole time, he would explain what he was doing and asked if I was ok. I'm not new to dental care (I've had a lot of filings and a root canal already) so having shots wasn't a big deal. Once he was done with the anesthetic for some very strange reason, all of sudden I got super nauseous. I had to sit up with a bucket for a good 10+ minutes. I felt so bad, but of course I couldn't help it. How can that not be embarrassing, right?! But he was SO patient and very empathetic toward me. I got passed it and we got back to business. Again, told me what he was doing, and always asking if I was doing ok. SO... after all that, I would with out a doubt, recommend Lakeside Endodontics! (side note) I had him look at a prior root canal that was done by another dentist because it was still tender to tapping. He did another scan to see what was going on and did a little work on it AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!! He did it complimentary for me! I would have paid, because I asked for him to look at it, but wow! I had such a great experience with Dr. Cohenca and his staff! I have a lot of different medical problems, some being vertigo, issues with my neck and jaw and anxiety from previous bad dental experiences. Due to these issues, it makes it very difficult when I need to have dental work done. I was so nervous before my procedure but Dr. Cohenca and his staff made this the best dental experience I have ever had! They really care about their patients and they made me feel like I was the only patient they had that day. I was cared for with such kindness, respect and compassion! Dr. Cohenca & his staff were very gentle & kind. They spent a lot of extra time and care to make sure that I was comfortable from start to finish. They definitely went above and beyond what they needed to. I was offered water, juice & a blanket. I was given pillows, tissues and they even got me a wheelchair and helped me out to my car at the end of my appointment. They were very reassuring. Not only was I treated amazing, but the treatment was much quicker than I expected! I never felt like I was being rushed out or that they weren't doing everything to make me comfortable. Many dentist can offer to fix your teeth, but not all will care for you with as much kindness, compassion & willingness to listen and help their patients as Dr. Cohenca. This dentist is so great!! I highly recommend Dr. Etemadi to anyone who is in need of a good Endodontic doctor. After having the pleasure of needing two root canals back to back, I was referred to Lakeside Endodontics from my Mukilteo Dentist, and right away I was told by my dentist "You are so lucky you got into Dr. Etemadi, he is fabulous". And she was so right! Jamie at the front desk is there to greet you and answer any and all questions about appointments, billing, insurance, etc.. The dental assistants are always so pleasant and do a wonderful job of asking how you are feeling, and address any concerns. The office environment is set up a relaxing astophere, more of a spa than a dental office with comfy chairs, relaxing music, dimmed lights, they even offer a fuzzy warm blanket during your procedure. What really makes this place though is Dr. Etemadi. He's such a gentle caring Doctor who never seems to be rushed or in a hurry regardless of how many patients are in the office at one time. Throughout the procedure he stops frequently to check on how you're doing, and ensures you're completely numb so you feel as little as possible. It's so important to have someone you're comfortable with during such an invasive procedure, and I can honestly say, I full trust Lakeside Endodontics ! Thank you again! read more

This was a markedly different dental experience! I have some anxiety around dental procedures like crowns, fillings, had a couple prior bad experiences so was apprehensive about my first (and hopefully only) root canal, but my dentist referred me to Lakeside, saying they were the gentlest and extra caring. That was definitely the case for me. They were very reassuring and kept everything simple and stress free about gathering my insurance info and getting me in. On site, they offered beverages, a tablet set up with spotify so I could listen to my favorite artists and for a small surcharge (insurance didn't cover it) I used the nitrous oxide to help me relax. This was the most painless, comfortable dental procedure I've had in years! Better than fillings, much better than crowns. It was 45 minutes for the actual root canal but seemed to pass in 20. I saw the before and after xrays, which was reassuring and was back home in 2 hours total. What a relief. The dentist was mindful of my anxiety and did a lovely job discussing everything, promising a "corrective" experience to my past painful dental visits and he delivered. There are two types of doctors. Those who work to collect $$ and those who are truly passionate about their work and express care & honesty to their patients. Dr. Etemadi is that one rare Doctor... that is extremely hard to find these days. He is a Professional and an amazing Human. I've had root canal done by Dr. Etemadi almost three years ago. He did a great job. Earlier this year, I had to return to his office with a problem on another tooth. External resorption was the verdict and after evaluation, Dr. Etemadi honestly said that the tooth cannot be saved. At the same appointment, I randomly asked his opinion on yet another issue in my mouth. I'm not going to write the details of what happened but Dr. Etemadi blew my mind and brought tears to my eyes. Never have I met such a compassionate and generous Doctor... I got into my car and cried because I was so thankful. Almost one year has passed and I'm finally writing a review. I will always remember the act of kindness he did for me and can't thank Dr. Etemadi enough for his professionalism, generosity, and patience. read more

I have indescribable dental anxiety and had a root canal many years ago. It was so painful and such a horrible experience, it literally gave me trauma. What a difference with Lakeside Endodontics. Dr. Edemati and his staff were AMAZING. I had a root canal today and it was easier than getting a filling even! I was sedated (by pill prior) and they took extra steps to monitor me for safety. They reassured me, they were patient and understanding. Dr. Etemadi has a very comforting and friendly bedside manor. The only pain (minor discomfort, really) was injecting the numbing agents. I am totally amazed! I fell asleep!!! While getting a root canal!! (I laughed at them when they told me I might). All in all, a very easy experience that was made that way by some really great people. (They we're flexible with scheduling and payments, too). I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend. read more

Dr. Etemadi and his staff are truly masters in their profession! They went above and beyond in making sure that I was comfortable before, during and after having my root canal completed. Everything from the professionalism of the front office staff when dealing with my insurance and finances to the caring and confidence that the doctor and assisting staff had while working with me. During the procedure Dr. Etemadi took the time to stop frequently to ask if I was doing "okay" and if there was anything that they could do to make my visit better. The most amazing part of this whole experience was the the doctor himself called the night after the appointment to ask how I was feeling!! I had the best medically related experience here than I ever imagined possible. It was very easy to make an appointment, knowing in advance that I needed to have a root canal, I was referred to Dr. Wan by a friend who reported that her first appointment with him was very satisfying. To make a long story short, he and his staff were very kind, clearly communicative and actually were not only very competent but also fun, making even a root canal painless and easy to endure. They offered a discount for self pay and senior status, making the procedure far more reasonable than other practices in the area. I searched the Internet for an expert on root canal disinfection and found out Dr. Nestor Cohenca edited a 2014 textbook on the subject. I e-mailed him, and he responded promptly and answered all my questions. I flew all the way from Florida to Washington to have my root canals performed by Dr. Cohenca at Lakeside Endodontics where he practices 3 days a week. I am so glad I did. He's not only the most knowledgeable expert I found on the subject, he was very caring, fun to converse with, instructive to learn from, and I rate him as one of a select few of people I've come across in my 62 years whom I consider to be a rare "gem." read more

Had heard great things from my dentist about Lakeside Endodontics Doctors and scheduled my first root canal. My dentist does root canal surgery but thought that I would be more pleased with the outcome and painless process at Lakeside Endodontics. I am 67 years old and have heard that a root canal is somewhat painful. Dr. Etemadi was wonderfully masterful and skillful in providing a painless and stress less experience. Dr. Stephanie Chen-DDS is my new favorite dentist. She is very thorough, fast and explained all my options. I had another dentist decline to work on my tooth saying that I would need to see a specialist and referred me to Lakeside Endodontics. I'm so glad they did. Dr. Chen made my root canal seem like a walk in the park. My procedure was pretty painless, and she has small hands which was a joy to my jaw muscles. I recently visited Lakeside Endodontics. The staff was very professional and friendly the minute I walked into the office. I was very impressed how comfortable they made me and even turned down the lights to help me relax during my root canal procedure. I still can't believe that I actually fell to sleep! I am blown away by my experience at Lakeside today! I had to get my first root canal and after getting the anesthetic, I felt no pain whatsoever. I was offered a blanket, stress ball, and a tablet with music of my choice which helped immensely! Dr. Etemadi was so gentle and confident which eased my worries. This is by far the nicest dentist office I have ever been to! I was in so much pain that I couldn't stop crying! They were so accommodating and gentle! When I went back they covered me with a blanket and dimmed the lights! The Doctor was very professional and successfully took my pain away!
