I needed a root canal and was referred to Dr. Joy Rivero by my dentist. The clinic is clean and the staff were professional and caring. New patient paperwork was done via laptop at the clinic which was more convenient than having to fill out forms. I was informed by the receptionist that a 3D xray will need to be taken that will not be covered by my insurance. Good to know that in advanced. Dr. Rivero was caring, empathetic and thorough. I went back for the procedure two days after the initial visit and I can't remember a thing! Not remembering the procedure and just waking up with no more pain is how I want all my dental visits to be. I would never wish root canal on anyone, but if you ever needed one, I highly recommend Dr. Rivero and her team! read more

What a fabulous endodontics office, one that is pristine and yet still comfortable. I saw Dr. Jeffrey Bennett who was kindly and went out of his way to allay any fears or concerns I had about getting a possible root canal. And being from the dental profession myself, his knowledge and care were superb. Karisa in the front office greeted me warmly which is important to me. I had a root canal a few years back at another establishment, and it was fine. Being treated by Dr Rivero was much, much better. Lee, the receptionist, is a no-BS gal, I think. I found her to be charming. She's the least fake receptionist I've come across in a while, I suppose. If you want someone to kiss your butt, call your congressperson instead. Dr. Rivero is a breath of fresh air. She's personal, yet professional, conversational, yet efficient. She explained what was happening in my mouth, and the relevant aspects happening outside of it, namely treatment process; office logistics; and cost. Dr. Rivero did an excellent job on my root canal. It was really hard to detect but she located it and fixed it pretty fast. I also had a question about the billing and that was easily resolved. The staff was great and made me feel really relaxed. read more

Dr. Joy Rivero was very professional and knowledgeable. She informed me of my dental situation and gave me options, as to how to proceed. She was fast and thorough with the root canal. I had anxiety going in, but she gave me nitrous and music(ear phone). I was able to go to work after that. Root canals get a bad reputation. Not under her care. Even though her location is in Everett, I would recommend her to any Seattleite or east siders. It's worth the trek. If you schedule to go up there in the morning, there is very little traffic. This place was a nightmare for my family- We came because it was a referral for my dentist we really like. Upon first impression Lee the front desk lady is abrasive, untruthful and has great difficulty in personal relations. We came here for a root canal that my general dentist could not find a second nerve for. A referral and xrays were provided. Lee- quoted a set of prices that was vastly different then what i paid. They insisted I get a special set of 3d xrays with a 150 copay and under anthesia insisted i had to have an additional procedure called gentle wave with another copay for 50 on top of another copay for 250. When I called my insurance I was informed I was grossly misled and overcharged. Also, upon trying to pay Lee the receptionist with my care credit she couldn't figure out how to apply it and within seconds of calling ourselves it was done. The pain was also excruciating and no meds were offered at all. Our family will not refer let alone go back! read more

Was referred to Precision Endo by my dentist, & I must say I am not disappointed at all. Went in yesterday (3/24/15) to get some x-rays of a previous root canal that was done a couple years ago, that was still hurting, even after being redone twice by that past dentist. The staff was very professional, but, welcome & friendly, we even laughed at a few jokes, making me feel more at ease. They took a few x-rays & Dr. Rivero saw the problem immediately: the end of the root was still in there, & advised it to come out ASAP. They were able to schedule me in for the next day (which was today) & prescribed me anti-biotics to get working on any infection that might have been in there. Went back in for my root canal today, they didn't waste any time, gave me some headphones to listen to some good music, put a cozy fleece blanket & some sunglasses on me & set to work. Dr. Rivero is very compassionate, friendly, & efficient at the same time. She did an amazing job on my root canal, (the x-rays of the before & after proved it beyond a doubt), & I can't be happier that they saved my tooth, saved the crown that I already had, & did all the work & a permanent filling right there. The price was about what I expected, too. I highly recommend them for your endodontic needs! **Follow-up 3/26/15: Just wanted to say that there was NO PAIN after the Novocain wore off yesterday! I took some ibuprofen when I got home from the root canal yesterday, & have needed nothing stronger since, even woke up this morning still with no pain at all. I've had quite a few root canal procedures done in my past and NONE have ever been pain-free, I am SO THANKFUL! If I could give 10 stars to Precision Endo, I absolutely would. read more

I went here to have a root canal done. The dentist, I think her name is Joy Rivera.. Its either Rivera or Rivero, I can't remember. She is fantastic. She made sure I was super numb. It was quick and relatively painless. I would have given 5 stars, but I had a bad experience with her dental assistant. The assistant was the opposite of the dentist. The assistant was rude, insensitive, and uncaring. I had started to choke and the assistant complained about the mess instead of caring if I was alright. I don't know if maybe she was having a bad day.. but you don't take it out on the patient. On the other hand, the dentist was very sweet, kind, caring, gentle, sensitive, etc. The dentist was awesome. She could use a different assistant though... read more

As most patients with a need for a root canal, going to the endodonist is not something anyone looks forward to. However, Dr. Rivero makes the experience a comforting one. She is extremely professional and I would recommend her without a doubt to anyone in need of her specialty services. Her staff is great and they make you feel less stress about your procedure. I have had a root canal at a general dentist in the past, but it was painful, uncomfortable and not done with the precision that Dr. Rivero has in her specialty of endodontics. If you are in the Everett/Mountlake Terrace/Lynnwood area, this is the endodontist for you! :) For any reviews discussing the cost...the rate Dr. Rivero charges is average for the services she provides. Yes, it would be cheaper at a general dentist, but you would not get the quality of service that a specialist can offer (trust me!) :). IF I had to have another root canal, I would not think twice about seeing Dr. Rivero again. (proof...I have been to see her twice). hopefully...never again. :) read more

Amazing! I had a root canal I'd been putting off for quite some time because I hate getting the numbing shots to get dental work done, not to mention I hadn't had the money for the procedure. Anyway I never felt anything and they got me in ASAP! I couldn't believe that I never felt a poke once from the numbing shots!! They also billed my Aflac supplemental insurance directly so there was no out of pocket costs! There nurse and dentist are very nice and friendly. I've been to many dentists in my 69 years and none can equal the skill and care of Dr. Joy Rivero at Precision Endodontics in Everett; she's worth coming from afar to see. Her evaluation of the problem was thorough, my options were clearly and patiently explained and she was a delightful person to be around, even if it WAS a dental office. She made you feel comfortable and I completely trusted her judgement (and I usually have to double-check everything). It was quite a relief putting myself in her capable hands; I know Dr Rivero will do the best job possible and only do what's in my best interest (no 'padding' of procedures here!) Her staff is also highly qualified and personable, and I have to say that Lee at Reception could not be more friendly and helpful, or more accommodating to my work schedule. The whole experience ( and it's not over yet!) has been a comfort to me and I would highly recommend Dr Rivero to anyone. I was referred to Dr. Joy Rivero's office by my dentist. (Who was able to see me the same day I went to my dentist for tooth pain. Thank goodness.) The office is very nice and modern. Dr. Rivero is very nice and both of her hygienists and her receptionist were helpful. I was very nervous about my root canal. It was my first one. I decided to have the nitrous oxide gas to help with the anxiety. The hygienist was kind enough to keep checking in on me and must have adjusted the gas 4 times as I waived about how sedate I wanted to feel. She was also nice enough to talk to me about her career in dentistry, which I really appreciated because it was both interesting and it helped me to get my mind off the root canal. As promised by the doctor I was very numb and had no pain throughout the hour and a half long procedure. Dr. Rivero also gave me the option of having her tell me what she was doing as she was working or just not. I opted to have her tell me what was going on and I appreciated her telling me throughout the procedure. I have no other experience, as I said this was my first root canal, thus I couldn't compare this office with any other endodontics office, but at this point, I feel like I was treated well and would probably go back to see Dr. Rivero for future root canals. This place might seem nice, and Dr. Rivera is nice to your face. The receptionist is clearly a scam artist. She words sentences as if she OWNS the company. I have never felt so wronged by a Dr. office. Only reason why I put it like that is because once Joy came out, she sided with the office lady right away. I was not lying, this front desk lady lied to me so many times, even admitted to it months ago, but refused to take any responsibility for saying untrue statements. The front desk lady literally was trying to not have me seen, where the care credit associate had to argue with her to take my credit which is flawless! Lee (front desk lady) kept saying "I want to get paid" "I'm not going to do this without getting paid". I kept telling her she is getting paid, just like the lady from care credit said. I have never seen such unprofessional front desk lady, which is all she is. They are supposed to try to help you, be comforting, my wife is a nurse, this is completely wrong. She told me to make an appt. for friday at 8 she says to me "can you do 8 AM" I said, "I will ask my boss" because I work two jobs one full time and run a side business for a real estate development company inspecting houses. I ask my main boss for time off, she says yes, i call her back, she says "oh we don't feel like being open friday. WOW! I wish I could work 4 days a week sitting on my ass! I work so hard and don't get fair pay but I never had anyone pay for anything for me ever! Then when I made a appt. she called me asking personal questions about my pain, trying to get me to cancel my appt. for someone else, just ask me if I can change my day, don't ask me a bunch of personal questions, if they are in such pain, give them the sooner date! don't push my date up a day after I took time off, if there in pain, serve them first! I am not a scammer or socialist! Very liberal and dem but I believe on keeping a strong work ethic and never expect things just cause. This front desk lady, told me things were free, and then when comes time to leave says "why would I do this for free?" I never said anything was free! She did! Look I can't believe how many times this lady lied to me and then had the nerve to say "did you record what I said?" Thats not how our health care should be. I will do everything to send people away from these people because this is complete BS. I work way to hard to let some people completely scam me. Either be a hustler, or a office lady, not both! read more

I was so scared to have my first root canal, but Dr. Rivero made it the best dental experience ever! She and her staff were so welcoming and gentle. I felt very comfortable during the entire procedure and I had NO PAIN, which was amazing, since I had heard horror stories about having root canals from other people. Everything was thoroughly explained to me before and after. They really are the best. Even though I don't want to need another root canal, if I ever have to have another one, I will definitely go back to Precision Endodontics. I drove from Boise, Idaho to have a root canal done by Dr Joy (referred to her by my dentist). I truly wish I could rate this experience separately! Dr Joy would get raving reviews as she was/is INCREDIBLE (as is her assistants). Her front desk person however is quite a piece of work! She should work for the mob as a money collector! Before I even had any work done, she was demanding $200 from me!! I checked with my two insurance companies and both were upset and told me not to give her a dime. You can't collect money for services not yet performed!! I'm blessed with double coverage (through my husbands two jobs) so I owed very little after insurance paid. That didn't stop the Nazi at the front desk from harassment! I told her to submit it to both insurances and bill me the balance. You'd thought I was demanding her first born! She's obviously accustomed to getting her own way and clearly was upset that she couldn't push us around. She enjoyed writing her nasty threats on my statement though... I paid my bill in full (as promised), and I'm happy to say I'll never have to see that wretched unprofessional person again... Dr Joy is so amazing - she'd be much better off not being represented by that troll that sits at the front desk. It's a shame that that's the first thing patients see when entering the business. If you can survive the nastiness that greets you at the front desk, you'll definitely appreciate and enjoy Dr Joy. read more
