I've been seriously craving a gyro lately, so I was super excited when I randomly discovered this spot 5 minutes from my house... party time! Stopped in Monday evening a little before 7pm and was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. I heard a voice from the back, and shortly after he came to the front to let me know he was finishing up a large order, but would get mine started, and ready in about 10 minutes. For me, that communication goes a long way and I really appreciate it. I ordered the lamb gyro which came with fries and I thought the price was reasonable. Bill was so nice. He thanked me for stopping in and made the experience welcoming and pleasant. There's a few tables and chairs if dining in interest you, but I'd say overall it's more carry out. The gyro was fantastic! The meat was diced (first time I've had it that way and loved it), flavorful, and tender. Fries were zesty, my fav. I think this is going to be my new go to and I'm so happy it's SO close to my home. They have other items in the menu that look good as well. As I was leaving, a few cars were pulling in, so word is spreading about this SSP hidden gem.

Such excellent food and wonderful kind service. Don't miss this place and go very hungry because the portions are huge and the flavors are outstanding. I recommend the chicken and lamb mixed rice and also if you love falafel don't miss those. My new favorite spot in the southeast Metro.

Amazing fries -- seriously memorable. The chicken gyro bowl was delicious and a very big serving. Really nice family-run business vibe.

This is located in a neighborhood with a small parking lot or free parking in the neighborhood. There is a small patio and a few tables and chairs on the inside. I would plan on taking your food to go. The vibes are classic and there are a bunch of fun pictures from Minnesota history! My boys enjoyed looking at those! The service here was extremely friendly and laid back. Kind of like having family cook your meal! That's a hard vibe to find these days! The food: We got the rib and chicken dinner. The chicken was fried golden(this is pressure cooked in oil) made for a nice flavor. I wouldn't say it knocked my socks off but definitely solid pieces of chicken. I am here to rave about the ribs!! Oh my gosh!!! The bones just fell out! The meat was so tender and the BBQ had the perfect about of sweetness!! I will for sure be back for the ribs!!! The mashed potatoes were ok. Next time I would get the fries. We also had the chicken wings plain. Again, nothing over the top special. Did I mention how good those ribs were!? Haha we ended with some mini donuts which were your standard mini donut but were delicious! This place is definitely worth a try!!

Would definitely come back to try more items! Wait time is a bit long about 20-30 mins because they start making food after you order, very fresh! Store is a bit small inside but there are outside seatings as well!

The Mac and cheese was delicious, and the potatoes had a great flavor. Be warned that the initial line is super long and can stretch to outside, but then it is much quicker after you get through the first line. The servers were all super nice and the place had a great, welcoming atmosphere. I also appreciated that they let girl scouts sell cookies inside the restaurant! Will definitely have to come back for their other menu items.

I would literally shut down for a weekend and higher better servers or just train everyone so much more... It took a straight hour I mean a full hour to get a fried chicken sandwich and a burger with some cheese curds-that is crazy guys. Our server just seemed really uncomfortable and out of sorts. It felt super awkward. The old place was so much better!! I understand wanting a bigger location and I was excited because I'm in Hastings a lot and yes, you did need more space but we literally compromised service for space and that's not sustainable in a restaurant. I really hope this gets fixed because this place was a gem! My husband and I loved it. We would go all the time and get burgers and fried chicken sandwiches for like the last three years. I was excited over being in a bigger location, but yeah, the service was so awful and the food took so incredibly long that it just put a huge cloud over the whole experience. Also my loaded fries--the cheese wasn't even melted. Like, how could you even send that over to the table? I hope you guys do a lot more training and get people up to speed. There's no way I could come back after what I just experienced maybe in a few more months when people are more trained that was super frustrating. I also feel sorry for all the veterans and good old boys that used to go there every day. The old place had a way better vibe to it. This feels chaotic like people are confused. You have a whole bunch of staff that don't know what they're doing now and it's super noticeable. Fried chicken was delicious as always, but boy did I pay for it. Honestly, the wait time was just the worst part. That's my main complaint a full and I mean I'm not exaggerating here--an entire hour for one burger and one fried chicken sandwich that's insane and they didn't even offer to take anything off when it was all over. $90 for this experience and it was really frustrating. It was sad to us too because this used to be one of our favorite spots. Super bummed.

WOWOWOW this place never disappoints, SO GOOD!…read more Today we sat on their rooftop patio, which was perfectly shaded and such a great spot to relax on a nice day. We did wait downstairs for around 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us, then told us we could just head up.. it was a bit odd. As a vegetarian, I'm constantly searching for a genuinely good veggie burger, and I truly think I've found the best one in Minneapolis here. Soo many restaurants treat vegetarian options like an afterthought, but definitely not B-52. I ordered the veggie burger on the Trashy with fried pickles and cream cheese, and it was AMAZING. Seriously one of the best burgers I've had in a long time, vegetarian or not. I also ordered an espresso martini and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Between the rooftop patio, creative menu, and standout vegetarian options, this place has quickly become one of our favorites. Already looking forward to coming back again when we're in the area.

The metal chairs were a bit loud to push in and out from the tables but fairly comfortable and wide to sit in. Easy to find seating on a Tuesday lat afternoon/evening. Our server was nice and let us know about the specialties of the day. We went for the $5 spicy margaritas. They were okay. Tasted a little watered down and not too spicy, which I'd say were all in all not so exciting. We had the lemon pepper chicken wings which had good flavor but felt dry. My beet salad was unimpressive. I'd even say it lacked a decent amount of beets. Where were the beets?!!? My boyfriend had the B52 burger which he really enjoyed but felt was a tad spicy from all of the jalapeño, but once he removed those from it, he was very pleased. Our service was a little slower that I would have liked. I would have ordered another drink had she came back to our table and asked us.
