While I usually prefer to let things go, I believe it is my responsibility to inform other serious beauty professionals about the potential challenges they may encounter at this establishment. From the onset, my time renting a room at Dossage Massage was marked by difficulties. Despite my efforts to maintain a positive relationship, Communication from Sophia was often inconsistent, and her behavior displayed a lack of professionalism and respect. I encountered issues such as sudden rent increases after 2 months of renting, random charges such as cashapp instant deposit fee's/wifi charges, refusal to return the security deposit, and a general disregard for the terms of our rental agreement. Moreover, Sophia excessively focused on my personal life in the form of a subtle agenda, fostering an uncomfortable atmosphere. The decision to increase the rent came after I had fully renovated the rented space and during the expansion of my business out of state. This tactic pushed me to end the agreement early after July, thankfully so. It is essential to note that both parties confirmed July as the last month. Payment was scheduled for July 6th via money order after my flight into NJ, as the landlord does not accept Zelle and charges an instant deposit fee for Cash App. However, I received a message on the 5th of July stating that my 30-day notice was up and requesting the return of the keys. At this point, I made the obvious decision to vacate the premises and move on. After cleaning the rental unit & returning the keys, it was verbally agreed upon that the Security Deposit would be released the following day. Without surprise and yet again, Sophie failed to keep her word. Upon reflection, it is clear that the landlord, Sophia, had no intention of returning my security deposit from the very start, and we have reason to believe that the landlord may not even have the $650 security deposit in her possession, given the vacant state of the entire establishment. While it is somewhat unfortunate that my experience with Sophia Dosseus at this establishment was negative, I believe that sharing this information can help others make informed decisions when entering into rental agreements for their businesses. It's imperative to protect oneself & choose a landlord who values professionalism, integrity, and mutual respect. I could hear the phone ring, people talking, and could smell someone's lunch. It was all very distracting, but I had bought a few so I had to come back to just hope for the best. I guess they had read complaints about those things because the next time I came, my door was closed and the masseuse asked if I wanted a face massage and went to wash her hands first. I've come a few times now, on and off Groupons, and think they are great. I often come after the gym so my muscles are very tight at first, but I always feel a world of difference after. Not quite a 5 because they still have to leave the room for the hot stones and sometimes have a quick chat out there. It's only about a minute but is a little disruptive for the mood. Also, the ambience could be improved. Sometimes there's no music so I can hear the cars passing. Also, maybe some aromatherapy scents might be a nice touch. The massage was very thorough and very relaxing. The only negative point I have is that the massage rooms aren't "real rooms". They're three walls (not completely to the ceiling and the 4th wall is a curtain. Because of this, you can hear a lot of outside noise which may distract you from fully relaxing. But this was one of the better massages I've ever received, and half the price of a cruise ship or other resort spa. I'm definitely returning here soon.
