I have been here a handful of times and it has gone from 2ish stars to 4 for me. I first came here on a Groupon and was bothered by the whole open door and also the face massage thing. I could hear the phone ring, people talking, and could smell someone's lunch. It was all very distracting, but I had bought a few so I had to come back to just hope for the best. I guess they had read complaints about those things because the next time I came, my door was closed and the masseuse asked if I wanted a face massage and went to wash her hands first. I've come a few times now, on and off Groupons, and think they are great. I often come after the gym so my muscles are very tight at first, but I always feel a world of difference after. Not quite a 5 because they still have to leave the room for the hot stones and sometimes have a quick chat out there. It's only about a minute but is a little disruptive for the mood. Also, the ambience could be improved. Sometimes there's no music so I can hear the cars passing. Also, maybe some aromatherapy scents might be a nice touch. Overall, I've been to a few places since moving down here and I always come back. read more

I've been to a number of other day spas, and Siyu Spa was an unprofessional and uncomfortable experience from making the appointment until I left the door. The massage itself was 70% fine, which is the only reason I'll give two stars. I purchased the groupon and tried to call about a month ahead to make an appointment. When I called to try and schedule a Swedish massage, the receptionist didn't speak English very well so it was difficult to communicate. Usually that isn't a problem, but once she understood I was trying to make an appointment a few weeks in advance, she hung up the phone without a word. Needless to say, I was shocked by the rude and abrupt end to my phone call. I would never have stepped foot into that spa after that, but I already purchased the groupon, so I needed to redeem the voucher. Finally, the day I had planned for my appointment, I called the morning of and scheduled a same day massage. When I arrived at the spa, my masseuse immediately greeted me and shuffled me into a room. This was when I found the communication to be problematic again. She ushered me into a room and was speaking to me in another language so I felt a bit rushed, confused, and uncomfortable, which are not the ideal feelings to begin a massage with. A few more uncomfortable and unusual notes during the massage... The door was left open to my room. When I asked if it could be closed for privacy, again the communication barrier meant she didn't understand my request and ignored it. She only partially closed the door when other customers were heard entering the spa. When pressure was too much or I felt uncomfortable during some points in the massage and voiced these concerns, the masseuse didn't understand or adjust. During the massage, she also massages your head and face with lotion, which was just unexpected, so I wish this unusual part of the massage was explained to me beforehand. It seemed a bit unsanitary to me to massage my face after massaging other parts of my body. Overall, I wasn't able to fully relax during the massage for all these reasons. One positive, hot stones were used as a bonus. Finally, at the end of the spa, I showed my groupon voucher on my phone. Then the receptionist said there was also a $3 tax that was in addition to the groupon. Fine. I tipped my masseuse and was about to be on my way, but then the receptionist and masseuse both demanded a larger tip, saying it was mandatory. I think it's unfair to pressure a customer for a larger tip, especially because I wasn't exactly pleased with my experience. Left me with a queasy feeling as I walked out. I do not recommend and I will never go back. read more

There's a BIG problem communicating with the staff here. They don't speak English very well. I had an appointment with my fiancé. We waited 25 minutes before being called. We had a Groupon but was still charged for an extra massage AND was asked for a tip!! I wasn't going to give a tip at all since I had such a bad experience. This is my families favorite spots. My husband got it for me in 2017 for Valentine's Day and I loved it so much I've been back six times since. Not only do I love it- my entire family goes here. I will give a 2 because I had two extremes in terms of experiences with two different messuage. One was great massage. One was a horrible massage. The horrible one involves a lady rubbing my skin for an hour w oil, she had no clue what she was doing (consistent w other yelp and Groupon reviews probably the same lady). I was debating whether to leave 15 minutes in but I was too nice. Whichever masseuse I had spoke not one word of English which was a problem considering she didn't realize when I was trying to move because I was hurting or when I told her the stone was too hot (she took two hot stones and moved one around which was fine but the other one she left sitting on my back and it was just burning my skin! And I love the heat usually). She kept kneeling on the table and sat on my hair, then sat on my leg and when I went to move she didn't even adjust or act any differently. The massage itself was way too rough and the rate of her strokes on my back were so fast I felt like I was being jostled. It was the furthest thing from relaxing. She also leaned her elbow on my actual spine / vertebrae not the muscle, which killed . I left more stressed and in pain. My boyfriend said his was good though so maybe it was just the girl I got. Spa is located on 206 as you are exiting Princeton traveling north. Nice spa, looks bigger from the outside than it is. Lily was probably one of the older masseuses I have had but she was friendly and tried her best to get me to commit to a return visit. This spa routinely has various advertisement that offer discounts. read more

I bought a massage at Siyu Spa through Groupon and made an appointment. When I arrived they didn't seem to have my appointment but it seemed like they worked it out and they sent me to a room to get ready. No conversation, no questions about my well being, no forms about my state of health. I used to be a massage therapist so I know these questions are important. Typically I do not like a "lightweight" massage but I also don't want them coming in like a mack truck. My therapist came in like a mack truck. A skilled therapist will feel their way into the massage and will check in with the client. I asked her to lighten up a little and she did. About 10 minutes into the massage I overheard another customer come in. There was some conversation and the person working at the desk (owner?) came into my room along with someone else and as I was lying there they had an animated discussion - in another language - until I told them that I would like my massage to continue uninterrupted and without three people in the room. My original therapist disappeared and then another started working on me and somewhere along the way she left and another person came in. By this time I had had 3 different therapists, all working solely on my back (and not particularly well) for a total of about 25 minutes and not moving to my legs or arms so I told the third therapist I'd like her to stop working on my back. She made some noise of agreement and continued to work on my back. I once again told her I was ready for her to move to my legs. She moved to a different position and continued to work on my back. At this point I stood up and told her I was done. She ran and got the owner who came in and asked what was wrong. What was wrong? How about 3 different therapists, 3 people barging into my room and talking over me. And how about the therapists all working only on my back even after I made a request to move on? When I explained that to her she said the first therapist had been double booked so she had to go to the customer who came in after she started my massage. Why would you leave someone who is already on the table instead of having another therapist work on the next customer? She also said the last therapist didn't speak any English. I then asked her how she could have someone work on me if I couldn't communicate with the person. She offered me a free 30 minute massage. I declined, got dressed and left. Just as an aside, I do know insects are impossible to keep out totally but in the bathroom they had a large can of ant and cockroach spray. It didn't engender a strong sense of comfort. I like to support people in small businesses but there has to be at least a minimal level of customer service and expertise. I would not recommend this place and I would never go back. read more

Very good massage! My fiancé and I used a groupon for a couples massage. The women were very welcoming at the door, and although they didn't speak a lot of English, they were able to point us in the right direction. We took to the tables and got a very good massage, hot stone and hot towel included, head to toe. They asked if we were comfortable many times, and were tough yet gentle. The only negatives I would point out is that they charged us $7 for "tax". We didn't feel like $7 was enough to argue about, so we just paid it, even though we used a Groupon. The two ladies also spoke quite a bit during the massage. It wasn't terribly distracting, but definitely a lack of professionalism at most. Overall, I highly recommend for a less expensive and relaxing date option for you and yours. read more

I bought my boyfriend and I a couples massage because of the groupon and I will definitely never go back to this uncomfortable place ever again. When you arrived, no one was to be found in the spa, and it took about 10 minutes for us to even be helped. They took us to our room where the instructed us to cover ourselves with the sheet when we were done getting undressed. Before the women left...SHE TOOK MY PHONE. About 7 minutes later she came back into the room and gave me my phone back...weird. So there my boyfriend and I are laying naked and afraid and 3 woman come in. One sat in a chair and watched the entire massage, which was so uncomfortable i just wanted to leave. The woman began massaging and SHE GAVE ME LIKE A DRY WET WILLIE. SHE PUT HER PINKIES IN MY EARS AND MOVED THEM AROUND. IT WAS GROSS. Then, the workers PULLED OUR SHEET OFF, and we were completely exposed. Then they PULLED OUR UNDERWEAR DOWN and were GRABBING our asses, not massaging, grabbing. I felt so damn uncomfortable. At the end, they told me the groupon had a 6$ TAX, aka this place is a scam and I felt molested !! read more

Nice place, I called for a same day appointment and it was available :) and they do take walkins as well. I got there and was asked to remove my shoes and then was directed into my massage room. It was small and cozy. It had all the essentials there. The only weird thing was that the door was kept open and the soothing music was coming from one main area in the waiting area instead of having a small speaker In the room. The lady also had conversation with a coworker while massaging me and also picked up a phone call during my massage too. And it's the only reason why I'm not giving them 5 stars. Besides that the deep tissue massage was amazzzzzzzzzing. She did a great job getting all the knots out of my back, she asked if I was ok with the pressure and adjusted to which ever my preference was. She massaged my head and face which I've never received in any other massage place before. They also use the hot stones after the massage. And it was only $50 for the hour massage.
