I've driven past Lakeside Motor many times and took note of the small dealership. I've been casually searching for a car for over two years and just couldn't find anything that checked all the boxes. We've tried big dealerships and found the prices extremely inflated. We decided to give Lakeside Motor a try! They had so many cars on their lot to choose from! We met with the sales person Khaled. He took the time to find out what it was that I was looking for. I had very specific requirements: Had to have a sunroof. Had to have an adjustable seatbelt for this shorty. Tons of cup holders to enable my coffee addiction. Had to be a neutral color (ie. no reds, bright colors). Had to be a four door. And had to be easy to get into (again, for this shorty). He showed me a few cars and then brought out the Lincoln MKC. I would have never considered a Lincoln, but this car fit me perfectly. The luxury leather seats hugged my back and had both a cooling and heating element. I had brought the kiddos with and they had plenty of room in the backseat, plenty of cup holders, and they thought the sunroof was cool! The bearded man, my husband, gave his approval too and enjoyed riding shot gun. It seemed that Khaled knew what I needed better than I did. I wish I had come to him sooner! He even sent me a text the next morning to thank me for my purchase. Now that is great customer service! The paperwork and financing was easy peasy. The financer, AJ, went over all our options and we decided to go with the in-house financing which offered the best interest rate and terms. Ryan had all the paperwork printed and organized for us to sign. He explained everything thoroughly and sent me copies of the paperwork electronically per my request. One of the owners, Max, came out and personally thanked us for supporting a small business. We had casually mentioned that our daughter would be needing a car in a couple of years when she turned 16 and he even looked her in the eyes and shook her hand. That was a big deal for her (and us). She was treated like a future customer instead of a kid. I highly recommend Lakeside Motor. We will be repeat customers for sure! read more

I waited over two months before writing this review in hopes that Lakeside Motors would resolve my concerns. Unfortunately, my experience has only become more frustrating. The process started with two vehicles I was interested in being sold before I could complete my purchase, which should have been my sign to shop elsewhere. I ultimately purchased a vehicle and signed a contract in early March 2026. My down payment and trade-in were completed, and when the remaining down payment was paid, a new contract was drafted and signed (3/17/26) to reflect the updated terms. Throughout the transaction, multiple employees appeared to be involved, including Chris, Lucky, and Perla, which often led to confusion and inconsistent communication. My biggest concerns are that, despite completing the required paperwork and payments, the dealership has still not provided my registration sticker, and repeated attempts to resolve the matter have been unsuccessful. Additionally, a payment of $497.25 was processed from my account that was fraudulently processed, and I have not received a satisfactory resolution regarding the charge or a refund. I gave Lakeside Motors ample time to address these issues before posting this review. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership and would encourage potential customers to carefully review all paperwork, monitor their accounts closely, and ensure all registration matters are completed promptly. read more

Not an honest dealership. Do not give them your business. I bought a vehicle there and no more than 50 miles later the Check engine light came on. Mechanic said I needed a new engine. If I could leave negative stars, I would. Drove off the lot in a vehicle with 56k miles and 28 days later my car needs an entire new transmission. Their only advice is "should have gotten the warranty." So maybe if you get a warranty you'll have better luck, but this is completely unfair and a larger car dealership would never do someone this way. I called ahead to see if a vehicle was available and if it had any major issues. I was given the green light. The car had minor cosmetic issues which was expected. However, it had major mechanical issues simply just driving on the road. My entire hand and arm were shaking like crazy simply holding the steering wheel when I drove over 50 mph or braked a little hard. It reminds me of something called the "death wobble". I talked to multiple people in the dealership and none of them stated they had any knowledge of that vehicle having any issue. I don't believe them. They wasted multiple hours of my time on my short weekend and never apologized. read more

To be 100 percent transparent, I've waited 2 months for this review. I was a naive 18-year-old going to look at a Camaro, In particular, I wanted a V8 model but when I learned how Insurance worked and financing I realized that wasn't possible yet at my income level. I only had 1000 to put down with no credit score to my name and a cosigner, with the not-best credit. I regret it, but I wanted a nice car to look good in. Young and dumb genuinely. They got me in a car. I'll give them that. High-interest rate due to personal credit issues and cosigner etc I'll give them that. Afterward is where it gets worse. Firstly the car had no ac due to the compressor and cooling fan being out of it, at least in my case. Didn't realize that sticky stuff inside the glove compartment is not normal for new "used cars' On top of that, Alternator went bad the first night of driving the car. Happy cruising celebrating car dies on the highway and I lose power steering, radio, no power at all. It was a very scary incident. They did replace it out of pocket. I can testify to that. Afterward, they put in a cooling fan and a compressor like how the car should've come originally. The only issue is it kept getting worse and worse after. Firstly, after all this a couple of days later I went inside the gas station to use the restroom, I came back out to see coolant leaking everywhere and literal smoke coming from the engine bay. I shut off the car immediately and got it towed. I was honest with them and said the only thing that happened was I hit a pothole and felt a little bounce, looking back now it was NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. They took advantage of me. They said the pothole knocked off the coolant cap while driving. Then it drained while driving. Ok, sure whatever. Only issue is they tried to charge me 289.99 for 'labor' and a coolant cap for 59.99 on the invoice bill. A coolant cap is 9.99 at AutoZone... Coolant for a dexool gen 1 Camaro is 19.99 so 2 bottles is 45 with tax on the high side. On top of that, I know a friend that is a certified mechanic at a family-owned mechanic shop. Not going to mention names but they are certified since every review they try to argue with someone pointing something out being wrong due to them not being certified. The coolant temperature sensor was bad. The radiator fan they didn't have originally and had to have me come back for them to install was also bad. Original owners paperwork with full name and address was in it. Just some extra info. Before contacting said friend another dealership quoted me 2000 dollars to replace it with 7 hours of labor. They also stated the radiator fan was bad and the motor was dying inside the fan. It had electrical tape to hold the motor fan connector down.My friend did it for free with his grandpa and made a youtube video out of it. After all this I have been studying so much about cars and just learning. Happy I got to learn. Not a big fan of all the work needed for a car I just got. Closing, they will get you in a car, no doubt, they want the sale. In my case only, it will not be reliable, it will not be looked over or inspected. If mine was looked over or driven for more than 2 minutes they would notice radio kept going in and out. Alternator was bad etc, also if they drove it they would see the radiator fan never spun unless you pushed down on the motor connector. causing it to overheat when doing the simplest thing. Idling... Here is everything I've replaced so far and things that have gone bad 2 MONTHS Into owning a 2018 v6 Camaro with 53,000 miles on it. IF THIS IS A V6 AND THEY CAN'T DO MAINTENANCE OR LOOK OVER IT. I purchased a vehicle at this car dealership, I had the car for two weeks when i received a call from the dealership telling me that I needed to return the vehicle and that the bank they used could Not finance me. I couldn't believe it, I was furious, I called the bank, and they told me that they had trouble verifying my past employer, NOT current employer but PAST employer, because the phone number wasn't accurate. I then called the bank myself and offered to give them the direct number to the Manager I reported to, they placed the call on hold, came back and then told me since I was a contractor, they could no longer finance the car. it was very fishy, something wasn't right. I had to contact an attorney, he stated that I should Not return the car because I had a contract. I decided to return the car because I didn't need the added stress in my life. The dealership also told me to lie to the bank about the amount of down payment I gave to them, just criminals, I'm sure I'm not the first customer they've done this to, YOU will be the next if you buy a car from these idiots. I decided to write a review about my ordeal, just recently the dealership contacted me and called me a low life and also accused me of lying on the application, which I did Not. they also threaten to call my job and get me fired for writing the review, they continued to harass me because THEY could not finance the car I wanted to purchase. Anyone looking to buy a car should avoid this place as they are unprofessional and there cars are not maintained as they sit on the lot and I found this out first hand. My 2013 challenger was on the lot for months and little did I know that the car had a cracked oil pan and 2 recalls associated with it that were never taken care of and never mentioned to me. Bottom line is this place is in a hurry to get your business but there inventory is more than suspect so please check your vehicle thoroughly beforehand and make sure there is no glaring issues associated with it. First off I want to say I am not one who writes negative reviews, but in certain conditions it is warranted. I wanted to warn everyone here about Lakeside Motors. They are probably the most shady dealership I have ever dealt with. Over the weekend I went up there with my daughter to buy a car she saw on Craigslist as well as there website. When I was there with her everything was fine and they were very courteous. I left as they had agreed upon price and down payment. Four hours later I get a call from my wife that my daughter was home but with a different car. When I got home there was a crappy SUV in the driveway. This SUV had been priced over 2000.00 what was listed on their website. We took the car back up there and spoke with the owners who assured me that they would fix the issue and assured me they would take care of my daughter. My daughter finally came home with the Jeep she had originally went there to purchase. Although they had raised the price for this vehicle as well for over 1400.00. Yesterday she got a call saying that she did not qualify for the Jeep she bought, even though the sales contract had been signed and she had the car for four days. They wanted more money down and a co-signer. I went up there this evening to discuss this, again with the owners. The finance manager tried explaining how they determined what she could afford based on her income. The formula was not based on her paystubs, the only method I have ever seen, but with him taking months she worked there and dividing her YTD income by those months. Not taking into account time she was not working such as the week we went to my sons wedding. Three times they got her "approved" for the car she came in for and then some how tried to send her home with a different car in much worse condition. Even though the crappy car she came home with as within 500.00 of the one she wanted somehow she couldn't qualify. Even after increasing the down payment by 700.00 it somehow did not work out. They would not give her the buyers contract either, which is weird and shady by itself. I understand that things change and there are reasons people can't qualify for vehicles. I do not understand when you sign a contract, agree to a price, and then change that after the fact. This sort of predatory practices should not happen, ever. read more

We all know that going to buy a car is never a fun and easy process. The team at Lakeside Motors definitely made it feel a lot easier. Initially I had contacted the dealership and spoke with JR who told me the car I was interested in was not ready to test drive as it was being worked on. The communication was great and I was able to eventually go see the car I was interested in. JR was very easy going and professional, which made everything a ton easier. He continued to make me feel welcome and like getting me into a car meant something other than a paycheck to him. When it came time for paperwork, Mayur stepped in and began to help me with my finance application and help me figure out something that would work. The car had to go to the body shop for something small and while it was there, Mayur and JR both continued to keep me updated on everything and if they needed anything else for the process before finalisation. When the car was out of the shop, I looked it over while walking into the dealer and everything was perfect. Having kept me up to date, by time I got inside the dealer to finish up, all I had to do was sign some papers and get my key. Mayur, who is also very professional, took what seemed like an impossible financing challenge with my 21 year old self, and made it happen. The team here also gave me good advice on what to do with my credit and I am very happy to recommend Lakeside to anyone I know in need of a car. Purchased a vehicle from here. Traded in a vehicle and put down $3,000. Signed all of the paperwork and a month later was told they bought the deal back from the bank and were going to refinance it through another lender. Took it in to have the alignment fixed and to sign the paperwork and they told me they were keeping the vehicle. They weren't going to give me my trade in back or my down payment. They took 2 vehicles from me and $3,000 and left me with nothing! They didn't service the car like they promised! The didn't disclose to me that it had been wrecked and had damage under the car. They couldn't tell me when the oil was last changed. They wanted me to pay to go get it inspected so that they could register it. I had to call the police to come so I could get my stuff out of the vehicle and they even stood there and boldface lied to the police about what had happened! Then they wanted me to sign a waiver stating that I was VOLUNTARILY giving the car back in order to get my things out of the car. Not happening!! Everyone there are shady liars!
