The quality of nursing care is very poor. Patient's basic needs are being ignored. If you can't…read morecare for your own personal needs, find another place to be. If you want better wound care, just stop at the veterinary office. No common sense, surly attitude and general rudeness rules the day and especially the night. If you are looking for a job of turning off call lights and running out of the room, this is the place for you. Seriously, this facility has the building and support staff to be a rehab center. The "professional" nursing staff on the floor is going to bring this place down. Their prevailing attitude toward patients and family members is that they are going to neglect the patient and make MAJOR excuses and do the same, but worse, to teach patients to keep their mouths shut. Easy to intimidate a man who can not take care of himself. On a positive, the case manager/social worker, Jessica, will be your light in the darkness. She is knowledgeable and kind. The women we have met that take care of the rooms and building are caring. The food service is great. The facility itself very well maintained, the rooms are clean, bright with nice furnishing. The admin needs to have a butt kicking, weed out the nursing problem abd have a re- branding if the name. Nurses work multiple jobs, they talk. You will be able to have quality professionals when you get rid of the lazy folks. Give out merit raises, the problems will leave out of haughtiness. You will know who they are when they read this. This facility was one of our choices to pick from when my husband was under hospice care. Turned…read moreout to be the wrong choice. The very first night we checked him in one of the aides came in his room and yelled his name three inches away from his face. This was very unsettling for my spouse. He was sick with cancer not deaf!!! They didn't communIcate with home hospice to get his medication scheduled so they let him suffer and hurt. The patient or family had to ask for him to get his pain medication or he didn't get it during the night. I had to be the one to call home hospice to get this set up. I told nurse William to put the information into the computer and he said he did but it didn't get done. This nurse was useless!! Finally the next morning another nurse not assigned to my husband took care of it and hospice talked to the director about all this. Nurse Andrew was great! Another nurse appeared to be either sleepy all the time or something else. I would not recommend this facility if you are terminal because they do not have enough staff to handle it all and they don't have empathy for the patients. He wanted to sit on the side of the bed each day and they wouldn't let him and wouldn't help us get him up. Such a shame!!! So very sorry I sent my husband to this place!!
