Very nice accommodations. Was there for a work event. The meeting room was a bit claustrophobic without any windows into the great views. The lunch on the terrace was lovely and the food quality both at the restaurant and catering was average. The customer service was very good at check in. The layout of the hotel was a bit disjointed with for accessing the room. Had to go up to an elevator bank that took me back down to my room. It's a bit of a trek from the airport and would recommend if you're planning on being there for more than a long weekend. read more

Our room was immaculate. The cleaning ladies were so sweet and they gave us extra stuff all the time. It's really great if you're an avid skier, I am in the beginning stages and they were still super friendly and super helpful with me. This review is for a work meeting that I had and not as a guest however, I was able to walk the grounds during the time that I was there. The last time I was here as probably 10 years ago and the Lobby and upstairs area from the lobby has not changed from what I remember. The Casual Dining on the lowere level which has a mini bowling alley and pinball machines is now closed and reopens around 3 pm for Dinner only. The small Lobby Bar is what I remembered from my last visit where I had dinner one night. Beautiful Luxurty Hotel about 10 minutes down the hill to the Main Street of Park City where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. read more

The accounting dept of this admittedly high end Hotel is ran by an incompetent buffoon (specifically a rude woman who proudly and condescendingly identified herself as Audrey Garcia, who likes to hang up on clients after challenging them to leave negative reviews blah blah blah...). Via an accounting "error" she admitted charging my card (provided at check-in for incidentals only), after our company pre-paid for roughly 30 rooms at $949 each and has refused to refund or provide any resemblance of an explanation as to what the charge was possibly for. I'd never trust this origination again, despite the Hotel being a rather nice venue all in all. read more

Love the Montage for families with kids. My 4 and 2 year old enjoyed the snow tubing, s'mores, bowling, and arcade games. Paintbox offers drop off/pickup from ski school and their kids area looks well stocked and like a lot of fun. They also offer morning story times and a meet and greet with the house dog, Murphy. 10/10 for kids. I really enjoyed the ease of ski rental, the quality food at the restaurants and the spa was so peaceful and relaxing. Don't even get me started on the views from our room. Magical. Loved all the white lit trees as night. read more

Went for a conference but very much so enjoyed the stay. Rooms are super comfy all with very nice views and spacious private decks with nice deck furniture. Location is on the mountain and you can ski out of the hotel. Food is good and room features about as good as anywhere. They have a fireplace and nice big fridge with decent espresso machines, fountain showers, large bath tubs, and comfy beds. Also have screen cast, HBO and on demand so TV is solid. Service is excellent. I would come back if in the area, probably depending on price - I imagine the pricing during the ski season is pretty steep but, in this case, it's my opinion that you probably get what you pay for, which is why I am giving it 5 stars. I ended up not paying all that much, considering, but my room was lower and tucked away and the snow is pretty slushy at this time of the year. Also, roads to get there are very well paved and wide and I'm guessing you don't need chains too often as they probably plow constantly when snowing. read more

I enjoyed my stay overall at this property. They resort is beautiful, along with the property grounds. The restaurant and room service is excellent. My only complaint is that I booked a room over the phone and I was under the impression the room had a balcony. Instead, the room had a large window that looked out onto a balcony that was only accessible by our neighbors room. The hotel was booked and there was no other availability. That was very disappointing, but the stay was otherwise good. read more

We stayed here for a wedding and it was lovely. I've never been to Utah, and being in Deer Valley was an experience for me. Check in was easy and we were escorted to our one bedroom suite. The front room was spacious and had a dining table, sofa and fireplace. There was also a full bathroom off of the dining room. We had a balcony which had a Peak View of the lush green mountain and a table with two chairs so you could sit out in the crisp air and enjoy the amazing view. We were so busy with the wedding that I didn't even explore the rest of the hotel's amenities like the indoor/outdoor pool, spa, bowling alley or outdoor activities! We did, however, spend some time at Vista Lounge with the fireplaces and leather sofas. It was nice and cozy and off of the lounge they even had a separate library with a fireplace and chairs. There is a shuttle that leaves every hour to go to Park City downtown which is really convenient. The staff were attentive and friendly. I definitely want to come back to Utah in the winter and enjoy the splendor of the mountains and experience the skiing there. read more

Our stay here was spectacular as usual! We stay here once a year and we look forward to it all year! This year our room was phenomenal! We were in one of the larger rooms and I was so impressed with it! It was a little less clean overall compared to their typical hotel rooms, but we still had an amazing time! I never leave reviews but this one has to be said! They put labels of the view on rooms that are completely deceiving . The "room coordinator" Ramone tells me that this room is a resort view but our view is a literal wall! Because of the wall it's dark in the room. You're looking at a wall and they are labeling it a "resort view" and getting away with charging full price for it. Ira literal robbery! There isn't even a 5% view of a resort! The general manager looked right at me lying through his teeth knowing very well that's a the worst view you could possibly have in a hotel especially one that's charging 2700 a night! Ramone has no concept of customer service. He smirked at me while lying to me and telling me this is a "resort view" pretty sure he got bribed and gave out resort view room that we saw in a video sent to us before booking to someone else! read more

Such mixed feelings. The location is spectacular. The rooms are nice and housekeeping does a great job. The concierge is super responsive. The team at the front door do all they can to get you taken care of. And the team in the ski shop are killing it amidst the 9 am rush every day! It's the food and beverage that miss the mark. 1) Yama Sushi is beyond overpriced for small pieces of average sushi. Charge what you will because you have a monopoly, but for that please make it fresh, excellent, and memorable! 2) Breakfast buffet is just one step above the Hampton Inn (and their buffet is free). $124 for an unmemorable buffet plus coffee for two that included cold sausage gravy with biscuits, an over-salted omelet, and two coffees? It's not really about price though, poor quality food and choice is a big fail for the for what one expects from the Montage brand. Not a good way to start the day. 3) The bar is the furthest point at the back of the lounge, is uninviting, and empty. 4) Buzz coffee cafe has a few chairs along the hall, but they are situated so the staff can't see that the tables need to cleared. 5) Apex at lunch is just a buffet, no matter what they say. We made the mistake of ordering off the menu. Don't. The waygu nachos took forever then had so little toppings that they were just a pile of tortilla chips with some decoration. There is basically no staff to speak with. The food scene here lacks soul. Makes me wonder about the Montage brand. read more

I met a friend here who was in Park City for a work event at Montage. To say it was luxury is an understatement. Speaking of understatement, that's the kind of luxury it was: everything was stunning and flawless and perfectly suited to the setting. Best materials, great service, sweeping rooms to match the views, and absolutely no glitz. Since I wasn't staying here, I can't speak to anything except the public spaces. We met in a bar area and had mimosas and a cheese and charcuterie board while we listened to live music at a good volume for background (as in, we could talk without being rude). I'm not sure if the resort is generally open to people who aren't staying there, because the only parking that I know of is valet, and I had to give them my friend's name to put it on her room, but it's possible to go there just for drinks or dinner, it's a beautiful place for it. And if you're considering staying here and it's in your budget, go for it. It's so nice. read more

We have stayed at the Montage Deer Valley many times. Overall the service has been good, not great. While we live in Park City and ski Deer Vally 40 + times a year, we like to pop into the bar for lunch and something to drink. We usually enter from the back after we ski down Empire. You can sit at the bar but if you want a table you will need to walk all the way to front hostess stand. Today there were several tables opens and when I ask the manager for assistance he said he couldn't help and you will need to go see the host. As I was walking towards the hostess stand, I ran into one of the hosts and asked her if we could have one of the bar tables, she couldn't assist. I then sat on the deck instead. The 2 tables sat empty for the next 30-40 minutes. Asked again and they couldn't assist. All other restaurants/hotels I have visited around the the world always assist when you ask. The Montage staff needs to be trained in "unreasonable hospitality ". I hope you recognize this deficiency in service and find a way to provide great service to all of your customers and guests. read more

One of my favorite resorts in the world. We booked a last minute trip to Park City for some skiing and unfortunately they were fully committed. I made time to stop by for some me time at the spa which was much needed after a day on the slopes. The best service as always and the spa is always a welcome escape. But this wasn't even what I wanted to tell you about. The Montage Deer Valley has a partnership with Cadillac. My son is autistic and is absolutely obsessed with the Escalade ESV. I showed him the car and he said that's it! I called the concierge and explained that we were previous guests of the hotel but not this trip and that my son would love nothing more than to ride in it. Where would you like to go? Oh - nowhere in particular - even a 5 minute ride would just make his trip here absolutely perfect. They said to show up anytime and that they would be expecting us. The valet literally rolled out the red carpet for him - they were the kindest group. I wish I had the chance to get all their names. Just the nicest people ever. Lisa took us for a 20 minute tour of Park City. Did they have to do this? Absolutely not. But the amount of good PR this generated for their property is priceless. It's a story that will go down in the books. Thank you Montage Deer Valley - you have a family here that will make sure to book a bit earlier next time so we can stay at your beautiful property - where guests are treated like family. Wow! for a beautiful hotel in Deer Valley! The rooms were sparkling clean and had every amenity you could need, including the softest robe and coziest fireplace. The staff were knowledgeable and kind. We had a special need for ice packs for our luggage home and they kindly froze them for us the night before our departure. All our encounters with catering staff were equally pleasant. There is a complimentary shuttle into Park City, and Tom, the driver, was so wonderful and engaging on our drive. The hotel itself is gorgeous and boasts picturesque views of the valley and has multiple areas to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Multiple outdoor fire pits dot the property, as well as heated pool and hot tub. Inside, there are grand fireplaces and cozy armchairs for chilly nights. We had a meal at the pub and were able to play arcade games, which was such a fun touch, and had breakfast at the Apex restaurant, overlooking the slopes. We had a fantastic time and would love to be back to ski in the winter or hike in the summer! read more

Arrived and received Holiday Inn service, absolutely terrible experience, booked and came expecting to bowl at 8:45 and are told once we get there that we are only able to bowl for 15 minutes due to a private event that was not mentioned online even though we were allowed to book the lane, complete waste of a trip. Were told by manager to not even tip the valet aswell adding to the awkwardness of the whole situation, terrible show of respect and problem solving. Visited the montage deer valley for the alpenglobe experience. The actual alpenglobe was beautiful and so fun! We went around sunset and the views were INCREDIBLE. I thought it might be chilly in the globe given the outside temperatures but it was actually so hot we had to turn the heater down a little. Staff: Excellent! Our waitress went above and beyond to make us comfortable, including taking multiple pictures from every angle at sunset. Cocktails: probably the best part of the meal. Delicious and lots of variety. Food: Probably my least favorite part of the experience. Though it was all delicious the menu had a limited options and was overpriced. If you do try something I would try the tuna nachos, they were so unique. I wouldn't return for dinner since I think it was very overpriced for the quality but I would return for the views and cocktails, maybe with some appetizers. The service for Apres is terrible. We waited 20 mins to place order and waitress just threw down charcutere board and walked away. We got board for 4 and it has 8 mini slices of bread. Tge cost is $80. Stein Erickson has much better service and more guest facing. read more

I am on my first trip to Utah, where I saw so much of Park city and Salt Lake City. What a beautiful state. We stopped into the montage after driving to Snowbird, and seeing all the incredibly gorgeous snowcapped mountains. We only wanted to have a cocktail in the bar and were immediately greeted by the friendliest valet gentlemen, every single one of them greeted us with a smile, and looked directly at us, and looked genuinely happy that we were there. We helped ourselves, do some complementary strawberry lemon water, which was refreshing and delicious. We headed down to the bar where the hostess of the restaurant smiled and sent us in the right direction. The views are absolutely incredible and the menu looked tempting, but we had already eaten so a drink was all that was on the horizon. I ordered a lovely brut rosé. Abby was our server, and she was incredibly friendly and helpful. Freedman led us to our table and he was also a real pleasure to meet. The customer service of this establishment was overwhelmingly amazing; I wish we saw more of this, as we do travel quite a bit. We actually headed to Sundance afterward to see the beauty of that resort and to enjoy lunch at the foundry. Each person we dealt with there, unfortunately, was very indifferent, and basically the opposite of the montage customer service. The hostess could not even manage to smile. Needless to say, I would definitely recommend the montage. I would love to stay there and see the spa one day, but my experience on this trip was very positive. read more

Overpriced, understaffed and underwhelming to say the least. Our first and last time at this resort. The hotel was overbooked without proper staffing. Most services were unavailable, the only coffee shop at the hotel took 25 min to prepare a coffee order, the restaurants served at best what I would call diner food and the hight end restaurant fair was so disgusting the manager had to apologize for the quality of the food which took over an hour to prepare.Kids activities unavailable because of overbooking. Spa facilities have seen better days and are in need of a remodel, especially the sauna. "Luxury" is always determined by the level of service provided, by friendly staff, welcoming front desk, helpful concierge and management. While in Park City decided to visit other resort and we bumped into Montage. We were not staying here but decided to go for breakfast. It was around 10 am and breakfast ended at 10:30 but decided to just sit down anyway. The view we had was spectacular. This was during winter time and the resort was pretty packed. I order an avocado toss and my husband French toasts, two coffees and bacon. The most amazing avocado toast I had ever tried. It had a citrus taste to it and included red grapefruit on top. The bacon was to die for. It was expensive but worth it. We decided to see the hotel and ran into an employee who was nice enough to show us around. The hotel has its own sky lift. We walked and there was an activation for Land Rover so we sign up and had snacks and drinks. The hotel was the most magnificent view of Main Street and Park City. The view looked like a postcard. Nice place to go and visit. If you have $2,500 to stay the night, worth it. read more

Yet another amazing stay here. I'm usually here during the winter for Sundance & this was my 1st stay during the summer season. Aside from the beautiful lush green 360 views, the staff was also exceptional. The manager Ben was so accommodating. The customer service experience he provided was top tier. The waitresses & bartenders at Apex were friendly & welcoming. I've been to other Montages where staff was quite the opposite to the point I was disinterested in ever returning. THIS MONTAGE should teach the other Montages how it's done. Also, the pool here is amazing. (Didn't even know they had a pool since I only visit when it's snowing lol). Cozy poolside seating (and plenty of it/your not squished next to some stranger u don't know), it's completely surrounded by the tallest most beautiful trees & greenery AND on Sundays there's a guy that plays live music. All of it was a vibe. Last thing....def hit up the Bloody Mary bar on Sunday afternoon...it was like the cherry on top of a great wknd . read more

This is a review from a stay last year that I never got around to posting. First, this should be a five star review. This resort is beautiful, the renovated rooms are gorgeous, the views are spectacular. There are so many great amenities for both kids and adults. I wish I could give 5 stars. Things that annoyed us, but I did not take stars off. This is a ski in and out resort. The week we were there the lifts were not operating. It was a late snow season which may have been the cause, but that information was not shared with us upon check in. Also, the shuttles to ski and the shuttles to town were annoying to use. The reasons why less than stellar stars. The spa is subpar. The hot tub was practically green but we were told it was okay to use. While people were in it, they started to treat the hot tub with chemicals. My facialist was 20 minutes late getting me from the waiting room and then ended my treatment at the regular time, not extending it for 20 minutes. She told me that she got everything in. The oxygen facial was also not done correctly or at least not done like any other oxygen facial I've received elsewhere. When I asked to speak to the spa manager I was told there was none. Also, I sent an email to the resort as well as filled out their survey and was never contacted by them with any sort of apology or reason. The second thing that was really frustrating was that the weekend we stayed was their first big busy weekend of the season. The restaurants were poorly run, slow service, and again no apologies or even to just let us know that all the people were brand new and being trained. I want to stay here again, but for now I'll give other hotels my business. read more

Hi. In March of this year, my mom, my three sisters and I enjoyed fabulous massages in the spa. After the massages, we went to the pool area and found one lounger and let our mom relax there for a little nap. The four of us stood around waiting for chairs, a table or loungers to no avail. Not at any time did an attendant notice us, ask if he/she could help, volunteer to find us chairs or assist us in any way. 20-30 minutes later, we gathered up some chairs on our own and pulled them over near our mom. Ordering food was a joke. We waited patiently at the service bar, and then had to track down an employee who said he would find the someone to take our order. I have NEVER had worse food---dried out, stale "sourdough" bread on the egg salad sandwich, an inedible turkey sandwich, disgusting guacamole, salsa and even the chips were terrible. I really think a manager and especially the least the spa manager should sample a sandwich and any of your menu fare at 2:55 pm before you close. So so disappointing. We'd love to come back for spa treatments, but next time we will bring our own picnic to enjoy by the pool. Thank you for reading. read more
