The car alarm was going crazy police hassling while at the hospital by my family's side as they almost passed away. He got me in and out during a short period I had family support to step away from the hospital. He did me personally a great solid and did it fast. During the work, the mechanic broke the clock spring. Instead of stopping and properly repairing the issue, they ordered a replacement part and sent me home anyway with traction control and e-brake warning lights on, meaning the car effectively had no ABS or traction control. I was told the vehicle was "safe to drive." This happened on back roads in Vermont, during snowy conditions. The car lost control, and I nearly crashed. That decision put my safety at serious risk. When I returned , the situation was worse: * ABS light on * Traction control light on * Airbag light on None of these were present before this shop touched my car. I was also told there were "no steering issues," which was blatantly false. The steering wheel is severely off-center, and the alignment is clearly incorrect. Dave claimed the car was put on an alignment machine, but this was not believable--the machine had another vehicle (an Acura) sitting on it that clearly had not been moved and wasn't even in a condition to be aligned. The excuse given was that the alignment machine "might not be calibrated," which is not acceptable. Instead of fixing the root problem, Dave attempted to clear warning lights with a basic scan tool and tried to send me home again, even though: * The e-brake light was still blinking * The airbag light was still on This shows a fundamental lack of understanding--or honesty--about the issue. The steering angle sensor attached to the clock spring was clearly not centered or calibrated, and the airbag resistor was not properly connected, which is why the airbag light remains on and continues to trigger ABS and traction control faults. On top of all this, they broke my aftermarket horn, which is tied into the factory horn circuit. I repeatedly told them it was broken due to their work. When I picked the car up, it was still broken. What I experienced here was negligence, dishonesty, and extremely unsafe decision-making. I was told things were fixed when they clearly were not. I was told the car was safe when it absolutely was not. Warning lights were ignored instead of diagnosed. This shop caused multiple new problems, put me in danger, and then tried to cover it up by clearing codes instead of actually fixing anything. If you value your safety, your vehicle, or honest work--do not bring your car here.

The first time they did a safety inspection on my wife's Jeep a few years ago, they missed a huge…read morecrack in the front suspension , which caused a wheel to break straight off as we pulled out of a parking space. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because other mechanics told me it wouldn't be unusual to miss that on an inspection. They also agreed to fix it pretty quickly, after we had it towed there. Fast forward to last week, this time my 2013 Rav4 with 130k miles that's been pretty well maintained was overdue for a tire rotation. They performed it at no charge. Immediately, a loud noise is audible at lower speeds and coming to a stop. Not a seized caliper, and too coincidental with timing of rotation. I assumed it could be a balancing issue. I also made sure it wasn't anything silly like lugs not being tightened all the way. Decided to call them and ask if they could take a look, since it's reasonably possible they caused the issue. I told them I'd pay a diagnostic fee even if I thought they may have done something. We are a one vehicle family and I've been racking up miles since I started a second job delivering food. I got a callback where the woman at the front desk told me "we don't diagnose things here", added that the shop was closing for a week for a family vacation, and then tried to steer me to another garage. What kind of licensed PA inspection station doesn't diagnose mechanical problems? Especially if they may be responsible? You're telling me if I am going to fail inspection they wouldn't try to find out why? Or know how to check their own work? Before this tire rotation, I had my annual inspection done there and requested regular interval maintenance, which would be lube, oil, filter change and a tire rotation. When I picked the car up, I was shocked at their price increases. I paid basically the same amount I would have at the Toyota dealership, and they tell me they didn't even rotate the tires! I'm no mechanic but I know tires should be rotated with each interval service. If you're just going to only accept cake (brake jobs and oil changes) don't bother keeping your inspection license. Nobody should trust these people, no matter how friendly they might be. There's a reason they have competitors right across the street who have been doing it much longer and never had to sweat Bangor Tire and Auto coming into town. I used to take my car to the dealership, even for regular maintenance. They are expensive. I heard people talk about how affordable this place is, and how nice they are as people. Unfortunately,that's not enough to run a good shop. They're also no more affordable than any other independent shop in the area, any more.

Brought my car in for tires, brakes and inspection. Was promised the tires I bought had a rebate…read more(Bull S$%^) no rebate - never was one for what I bought. Bought Cooper Tires with at 65.000 mile limited warranty. They then called me to tell me I had a bad master cylinder and had to keep my car for 4 days.....one of the parts that they put in was bad. So they had to change it out again and charged me for the labor again. Then sent me to their "sister location" Autobots for my inspection, made an appointment, arrived and waited almost 2 hours for an inspection (in an empty shop), while the Receptionist kept going into the shop and under my hood...2 hours later, she told me she needed to replace my battery (what the hell?) my battery was fine. The next day my battery was dead and the battery cables had been loosened almost all of the way.....So 19,000 miles into my tires - I found a bubble (push thru from the inside thru the treads -an obvious manufacturing defect) called 10th Street tire about a replacement and was told that the 65,000 miles isn't a warranty, it's a suggestion and that they would not honor a replacement and that I had no warranty. I just call Cooper Tires and it is covered under the warranty. This place is a joke, a scam and a nightmare with a smile. Just skip the aggravation and bull-crap they try to hand you and go anywhere else. The worst experience I have every had with an automotive shop, completely egregious, incompetent and the words "Money grubbing wh*+es" come to mind.
