*** VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A NICE CAR, THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR AND LIE ABOUT IT *** Needed a tow due to a massive pothole that blew a tire, called Audi Roadside. As I later found out, unfortunately, Audi pays as little as possible so you typically end up with shady, small time tow companies vs the more reputable companies that know what they're doing. Russell (owner) arrived and I informed him that the car was lowered and would likely need 2x4's to make it safely on the flatbed, he said he had some. My TTRS is in perfect shape, I always take care of this car and I was getting concerned that he's never attempted to load a car of this caliber on his truck before, he seemed a little out of his depth. He positioned the truck and then asked ME to back the car up on there. I should have told him to pound sand since that's his job, but at this point, I had been waiting 2hrs for a tow and wanted to get it over with. I noticed he didn't put down any 2x4's, he said it would clear. I reluctantly started to back the car up, worried about the clearance so I took it slow, I heard a scraping noise and stopped the car, I thought it might have been a clearance issue or possibly just the flat tire making an odd noise, but Russell told me to continue. Got the car on the flatbed and looked at the underside of the car, the car definitely scraped on the ground and I took photos of the damage under the car as well as the parking lot where you could visibly see the fresh scraping marks on the ground. I informed Russell that it did scrape and questioned why he told me to keep going when he heard the noise and why he didn't put down any 2x4's. He said "well, you backed it up" to which I responded "yes, because you asked me to, and I stopped when I heard a noise and you told me to keep going, so what do you want to do about that?" He said "well, you can contact your insurance company". I said "why would I contact them when this damage was caused by you?" He then threatened to drop the car and said I could contact another towing company. I told him to just take the car and drop it at Audi but asked that he use 2x4s when he drops the car off, I'm awaiting the footage from Audi to see if he actually did that, he said he did but I don't believe anything this guy says. I called the company back in the morning and spoke to a woman (Russell's wife) and explained the entire situation and asked how we could fix this issue. She said "what do you mean fix this issue?" and I reminded her that the vehicle was damaged while it was being loaded, she just flat out hung up on me. Called back immediately and no answer. I went over to pay the business a visit and talk in person, but the address listed for the business is just a run down house with trump stickers and banners all over the place - no actual towing yard or professional business. I called one more time later in the day and reached Russell and calmly asked how we could resolve this, his answer was "well YOU hit a pothole and messed up the front of your car, it's not my fault at all. I'll see you in court, I have great lawyers, I hope you do too" and he hung up. He then accidentally called me back about 10 mins later, thinking he was talking to someone else, rattling on about how he doesn't give out his Tax ID number and some other things that I had no idea what he was talking about. I explained that I don't think he meant to call me and then he realized he called the wrong person. I asked him if he wanted to talk and he just kept repeating "you drove the car, you damaged it" and wouldn't listen to anything I had to say, reminding me again that he'd happily see me in court. Mind you, I had a witness watching this entire thing, no signed paperwork or release of liability before it was loaded (really dumb move on Russell's part), and a business owner who likely couldn't afford to fix the damage to my car so he started playing the deny/blame game. Our car broke down and we're about an hour and a half from our dealership (who doesn't tow), so we called Towing and Auto Repair and they came out right away and got our car towed to the dealership quickly and safely. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! On Friday my car wouldn't start in front of my son's preschool. I called local tow companies and now I know why he was available... I'm sure no one else uses him! Total rip off! Got there without jumper cables to even try to jump my car... he is supposed to be a professional mechanic to assess what is going on and could have saved me money if he just jumped the car.... Instead he only wanted to tow it to his place. I explained that I was working that weekend (I'm a nurse so it's difficult to be on my phone) and I have another car to use. I explained that I would deal with this on Monday. He and his wife then called and even had the nerve to text me ALL weekend. They insisted that HE fix my car so that I could get it off his lot so nothing happened to it so he wasn't liable for damage??? He even said he wouldn't have towed or if I wasn't going to deal with this until Monday! What kind of business does this to a customer!? Then he called my husband on Sunday and insisted he come get the car as my husband was taking my son trick or treating! Finally I went first thing on Monday morning with my father to pick up my car. I asked Russell to just jump it and my husband would put a new battery in when I got it home. Russell insisted that I pay him a diagnostic fee and then $20 because he jump started the car and it "runs good for him". So I paid him cash. When I got in the car the car it was not running and wouldn't start.... My father jump started my car!! So not only is Russel a rip off he is a liar. He then had the nerve to say that we have "no brains" as he walked away. My response was not very nice and as soon as he realized that we were not going to let him take advantage of us any more he got angry and threw a tantrum worse than my 4 year old!! Actually, we were very smart to not let him touch the car any further... and I would've paid ten times more to get my car away from him and his unprofessional business. Again... My daughters car broke down and it was towed here. What a great experience! It was later in the day and they were nice enough to wait. The team worked hard to get the car fixed and back on the road.
