    A lot of punctured balls..

Needs maintenance.. visited 4/23 also first time that I found out they have a diaper changing room in the playland itself! That's very helpful.. we always had to go to jcp for that before. It might be the mama bear anxiety but have a read; The stairs going up from the ball pit have a gap in which a small child's foot can get stuck and badly injured. The spinning rides wheel is very loose and the seams are coming off the centre.. my baby's foot has been really badly injured in the past by an exposed lug nut in the centre so I would just avoid this one completely.. The climbing wall has multiple step-on discs which are not covered with padding anymore A LOT of the balls in the ballpit are punctured.. some children play quite roughly, crashing or canon balling into it, throwing it at each other etc.. and might hurt themself from the pointy edges at the wrong angles.. I wish they fix these things.. other than this, it's really nice, breathable space for the young kiddos to play in.. not overstimulating for kids and parents.. a reasonably sized seating area to snack and rest at.. a bit too expensive to be honest... esp since they started the whole one adult thing. Overall ok..! Def needs maintenance though.

Love this place!!! One of the best additions to this mall in awhile! We actually found this place by accident lol! We came here for the track less train that goes around thr merry-go-round, and magically found this place! First off, say hi to my buddy Frank! He is the cashier and caretaker of the play place. It's $20 per child during the week. It might be more expensive on the weekend. And it's all day! So if you come in the morning, you can bring the kids here, let them tire themselves out. Go eat lunch, have them take a nap in the stroller. Then come back! They have 2 zones. 1 small One for 3ish and under. It has a slide and mats and things to climb under and over. They also have a kinetic wall where you can link spinners together. The main zone is 10x the size of the other zone. This is the big ticket! It's huge! It has slides, a ball pit, things to climb, a whole second level! This is for kids 3-8 ish. It is a great way for kids to spend their excess energy! It's always clean. If something is dirty, let Frank know and he will take care of it. Please don't bring food or drinks into the play areas. And no strollers inside All in all, it is a really nice place. Say hi to Frank. Give him $20 per kid and let them loose! Oh and socks are required, if you don't have any, they have them for cheap. Have fun!

This is the perfect place for kids to play! It is located near the carousel. No food and drinks are allowed. Would highly recommend!

It is really nice to have an indoor, interactive play place that is FREE in Middlesex county…read more Perfect place to take my child to in the winter, or on days where weather keeps you away from the park and outdoor activities. The play zone is located in a stand-alone area of a previous store, on the corner next to Nordstrom and across from Color Me Mine, and a sports memorabilia store. It has multiple areas for parents to sit, and its own bathroom equipped with a changing table. The seating is set up in a way that closes in most of the area, which helps to keep the little ones confined to the play area, and not wandering (or running) off into the mall. Under the seats there are shoe cubbies, and on the wall multiple hand sanitizer dispensers. Now for the children.... There is a small slide with a tunnel underneath. Surrounding the slide is a road themed carpet which leads to a Mickey and Minnie themed pretend sports car. A giant television in the middle of the zone I have noticed is typically playing Vampirina. The zone also has a foot stomp keyboard, next to that on one side are two computers and on the other side is a push button wall that plays sounds. The back wall has an abacus and a tic-tac-toe tile game. I know I am missing a few things but that covers most of it. Now I am well aware this ''zone" is promoting Disney, however Middlesex county lacks free indoor play areas with a park-like feel, where kids can run around with others and interact. So major kudos to Disney and Simon properties for providing a space free of charge for our little ones to do what they do. I rated this space 4/5 stars because it is truly a space for ages 5 and under. I would give an older child playing here about 5 minutes til boredom set in. Also the space is on the smaller side. Especially on a Saturday in the middle of the day in the dead of winter, you are looking at a packed house. Before I conclude I want to mention a few reviews that are already posted.... This place should not be reviewed based on rambunctious children or a lack of parental supervision. That is not a valid review of the actual establishment. It would be like giving a product a negative review because of slow shipping speed, or being sent the wrong item. The concerns noted by previous reviewers are invalid because they have nothing to do with the play zone itself. Also this zone can not be policed as it is a somewhat public space. Are parks policed? It is up to the parents to properly keep track of their own children. While it is frustrating when some parents fail to do their duty in watching their own kids, that is the way it goes, just as if it was a park. This is a FREE indoor space that is good for our children. I would recommend trying it out on a weekday or weeknight so as not to be overwhelmed by crowds. Way to go Disney and Simon!

Free and my child did not want to leave. However bathroom on location wasn't cleaned.read more

The staff here were really nice, friendly, and professional. The staff that helped host the party…read morewas sweet and tried to mingle with all the kids and parents, which made the entire experience quite pleasant and warm, especially watching her react so sweetly with the kids. There were also multiple staff roaming around to ensure that the environment is clean and organized; for one of the slides the padding was exposed and one of the male staff stood around to ensure he covered that area with balls in the ball pit, demonstrating consideration and really good work ethics that we all appreciated. Out of all the children play place across Staten Island, I believe this play place is by far one of the best, with ample amounts of obstacles and machines for the kiddies to enjoy. My only minor critique is that the token to dollar ratio is a bit high, with 10 bucks equating to 20 token and most rides ranges from 4-6 tokens, which is about 2-3 dollars per ride, which is often a minute or less. One of the rides also had a wheel that was broken, so the ride ended sooner due to be unable to dodge the obstacles. The claw machine also costs about 5 token each, which equates to 2.50 per try. Nonetheless, Just Kidding Universe Playground is definitely a great place for kids to have fun and spread their wings of creativity. The staffs were all amazing and I will definitely be back with our little one in the future. Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

We are visiting for Christmas came twice to get a good idea of the place. Really love Just Kidding…read moreUniverse Playground! Our son had so much fun playing here! It's a pretty big playground compared to others we've been to! The ball pit area and climbing n/slide area is really nice and has lots of areas to crawl around and play, even 3 swings on the bottom area. They made great use of the whole space! They have different areas for kids to play, 2 Lego tables to play, different walls to put Lego and other wood sticks to put into the wall, a "sand" box which has small wood blocks instead of sand, lots of activity toys and overall many rides and toys to try out! They also have a supermarket and kitchen area for creative play. The other part of the play universe is arcade games and mini rides for kids from small to older. I like that they have this combines, if you have kids different ages they all have areas to play. Older kids might enjoy the arcade area more while younger kids play in the play areas. I definitely recommend the indoor playground to come and play! You get a few coins when you check in and can try out a few games. Fantastic concept!

My son went WILD experiencing this place for the 1st time for his bestie's birthday party this past…read moreSaturday afternoon! The place was closed off for the birthday party exclusively for the next two hours, making it easy to keep the kiddos in one place. We quickly scanned the QR code to complete the sign-in waiver, pulled off our shoes, and headed inside! The space is really trippy with the UV lights and the music playing on the speakers was kid friendly. There's imaginative play spaces, like a diner, grocery store, and even a classroom for kids to touch and play to take a break from the obstacle course. My high energy 4.5 year old loved crawling, climbing, jumping and sliding all over! I had to coax him to come out to take a break for some water! He didn't stop smiling the whole time! There's a little cafe/bar for drinks - hot and cold - for the adults with pastries and cookies too! There's free water jugs to keep the kids hydrated. Once the 1 hour for play was over, we transitioned upstairs to the party room, which was big and spacious for everyone. Plenty of seating and ledges to lean on. The staff had this place running seamlessly and kept everything moving without us feeling rushed. The only thing to note for children that have sensory processing concerns, is that the music is a little loud and there are strobe lights. Better to come prepared with noise-cancelling earmuffs if this might be a concern. My son had a BLAST - all the kids were asking to go back downstairs to play some more, but there was another party immediately after us, so it wasn't possible. We will have to come back soon for open play!

The BEST place to take kids on Staten Island! They even have a nice private area for kids under 2…read more The whole place is beyond clean, the staff must be making sure to clean everything multiple times a day. They all seemed really happy with their jobs and the owners were there, welcoming us since it was our first time. There are so many different things for the kids to do, the indoor playground is awesome and the whole other side is imagination play (shopping market, classroom, an upstairs movie and book area) I was truly impressed. I will definitely be doing my son's 3rd birthday there and recommend anyone with kids checks it out!
