It's the people who are doing this, Doug and his team. They are the reason LakeView Day Camp has been a huge success since Doug took over. Doug and his team are in this to serve the families, not just to have commercial success. The programming is brilliant. They really try hard to accommodate any issues and things do happen so tell them if there is an issue so they can help. They have corrected bus issues or stepped in to address other minor problems over the years and always left us feeling like they really care about their campers. Doug, the owner is very visible and works hard to leave campers with a positive experience whether they are 5 or 15 years old. They have a beautiful camp with a lovely lake, a hot lunch and healthy snacks like fruit. They just put in a huge new pool 2 years ago. They have a nice teen program as well.

There's a smaller section for small toddlers (smaller slides, a little house attached to it, etc.) and also a larger section for kids 5+ (larger slides, balance ropes, etc.). Both sections have some overhead coverage but the park itself is not shaded. There's also a separate area where the swings are and also a climbing rock/boulder. There's basketball courts adjacent to the kids playground and a good amount of parking. It's definitely one of the cleaner and newer parks around and would definitely recommend checking it out.

Selecting a summer…read morecamp for your kids is a very big decision and it's really important to do your homework and get it right. Having grown up in East Brunswick most of my life, I was nervous at first when my wife suggested we send the kids to Eagles Landing. I had attended Lake-Vu Day Camp for over seven summers and it was the best time of my life. I couldn't even imagine sending my kids anywhere else. Back then, Eagles Landing was Mill Road Day Camp, and quite frankly, Mill Road didn't hold a candle to Lake-Vu. But a lot has changed in the past few decades. For one, my beloved Lake-Vu Day Camp is now called *LakeView* Day Camp. To me, that is history that you just don't mess with. Something about that simple change turned the camp into a complete stranger in my mind. This name change apparently happened in conjunction with new owners purchasing the camp from the Levine family, who were among the most revered local celebrities in East Brunswick history. That the Levine's were no longer there was a concern for me. (Stick with me. I'm going somewhere with all of this.) My memories of Lake-Vu back in the '80s are some of the best memories of my life, and to be clear, I have nothing bad to say about the new LakeView. Our neighbors send their kids there and are very happy. However, when we spoke to others in town about where to send our little ones, there was a clear bias in favor of Eagle's Landing. And that's when I learned that the owner of Eagles Landing was formerly the Camp Director of the original Lake-Vu, who I vaguely remembered. He and his wife have an impeccable reputation in town, which was clear from all the great feedback we received from our neighbors and friends about how they've transformed Mill Road Day Camp into the beautiful Eagles Landing that stands today. So my wife and I met them briefly over the winter for a tour, and I immediately got a great vibe from both of them. It was also clear that a lot of time, money, and passion had been put into all the upgrades and renovations across the grounds. I was sold. We decided to take the plunge and signed up both kids for the summer. We also talked my brother and sister-in-law, who also live in town, to take the tour, and their three little ones are now attending as well. Likewise with our best friends across town who also followed suit, signing their two older boys up for the season. The rest is history in the making. Camp is now fully under way, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and more modern than anything I would have expected from a camp, and most importantly, our kids are the happiest I have ever seen them in their short little lives. What impressed me most was the orientation day where I got to meet all the staff during a full afternoon where all the kids and parents could swim and take part in all the camp activities. It was obvious that a very thoughtful screening process was used to select the staff, most of who are still young themselves. I could not feel more confident in the care and attention my children are receiving this summer. To run a camp of this size, you really have to know what you're doing, and you have to love what you do with tireless passion and energy. The decision to send our kids to camp here at Eagle's Landing is proving to be one the best and most important investments we've made on behalf of our children. Knowing how many of my favorite memories are memories of camp, I am so happy to see my kids making a whole bunch of memories of their own. I know they will cherish them forever.

I have yet to receive an email, a text, or a phone call! My daughter was injured in gym class and had fractured her finger and this guy feels it's his right to keep my deposit money from birthday party AS well as tuition that my daughter was not present for!! After several phone calls, the office manager finally found it appropriate to let me know the owner's intentions on keeping the deposit money as well as to continue to charge me tuition (even though we didn't have a clearance date from the doctor!) Weeks later, I now have a clearance date and my daughter can return to gymnastics, but now nobody wants to return my phone calls OR my tuition money for November and December! I took it upon myself to STOP anymore withdrawals from this facility. I am owed money and even with all of this, we were willing to come back because my daughter likes her teachers there! I called again and of course left a message as nobody really ever answers the phone. I have yet to hear back from them! I am assuming that they kicked us out, since they haven't replied back?!! Reason for my post is: think twice before walking into their doors, cuz if your child gets a great teacher, it really isn't worth the hassle of working with such a classless owner. BUT again, the gymnastics coaches here are sweet. If any of them read this, feel free to call me to set up private lessons!!
