Very tight space to get a 34ft trailer and a long bed truck to park thru. There were canoes on the side free to use for guests. Also life jackets for adult and kids. Kids spent the morning fishing behind our trailer by the fire pits. Picnic tables also for every spot. A cute little hang out area near the canoe. Games in the room by the office and also bathroom/showers available. There wasn't much space for kids to ride there bikes. Was a great stay still.

We finally found where we were supposed to be and decided to just pull in and get set up for the night. The camp sites were VERY short, we were barely able to fit our unit in, which was not what the website stated. There were also lots of trees hanging down and overgrown that made it difficult to get in. All of the other units in the camp ground were covered in spider webs and overgrown weeds/grasses. Clearly many people had not moved their units in a long time and several probably had not had people inside them in a long time either. Overall it was not a very comfortable place to be. I would not have felt comfortable staying there as a female alone. The lake is right across the street but it was buggy, hot, humid, and smelled like sewage. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone to stay, nor would I stay there again myself. Luckily we were only passing through for the night and only there maybe a total of 12 hours, but that was even too long.

All the sites have fire pits and are arranged so that they are close to amenities, but private enough to enjoy a few beers around the nighttime campfire. Highlights: Hot showers (coin operated) Super fun logs to roll in the swimming hole Store on-site with firewood Basketball court Short distance from a town store, but still definitely not "urban camping" Hiking or driving distance to nearby lakes Suitable for RV and tent camping This was a great place for families and for young adults!

This Yelp review is from my in-home support worker, Sheila. She does not have a computer so she…read moredid not want to open her own Yelp account. After driving up to Clear Lake from Richmond to go camping with the family at another campground, she encountered a bad experience with the owner. Part of her family was already on the campgrounds because they went up a day earlier and thus, did not want to confront the manager/owner with his bad attitude. (We were reprimanded for kicking up dust on the dirt road leading to the campgrounds although we were going only 15 MPH, and it was the driver's first time driving the grounds.) Therefore we were searching for another campground with the help of a local resident but those campgrounds were full. He then referred us to Kelly's Family Campground. When Sheila and Ray arrived, they were greeted by the owner, a woman named Laura. All of the workers were nice to our whole family. Everyone camping was very congenial and nice and welcoming to us. The campgrounds were clean, the bathrooms and everything was very very clean. The owner even went out of her way and chopped firewood for me because the coal ran down. The children within the group had a wonderful time swimming in the lake with bass swimming around them; played football; and had a wonderful time with the other campers. They had a wonderful time and will definitely be up there next Labor Day. Sheila and Ray highly recommends Kelly's Campground to fulfill all of your camping necessities as well as a safe and clean environment.

STAY AWAY It might…read moreseem like just a run down spot, but they are having other problems. Angela seemed to be on her last nerve fiber when I called. She asked a lot of personal questions about my life, my RV, and so on. I asked what she needed to know and she said she had had trouble with people moving in permanently. I'm so sorry for anyone who has to live here! She also accused me of trying to use an expired Good Sam membership. Every part of the process, she treated me like a criminal instead of a customer. I gave her the benefit of the doubt given she said she has chronic fatigue. I get that but wow When I arrived She said she needed to pick the spot for me and even though the park was half empty the whole 2 night stay, put me right next to the loudest people in the park. When I called she was kind enough to offer me a different site, but she wanted me to camp next to the electrical transformer. I finally ended up in a corner she said was full of homeless people, which turned out to be cats. I was concerned about the possibility of fleas given the cats were sheltering under my RV and I was also feeling pretty sick at this site. The place is run down but I could tell that from previous reviews. It was relatively quiet in my corner with the exception of the cats. In the morning I was to leave, I brought some grey water into the bathroom with me. She had gone into detail about how their sewage system was broken and at the site, the power was out and the sewage was overgrown. One could also see sewage overflowing around the trash cans. She BURST into the bathroom, slamming every door while I used the toilet and then yelled as I left: "WAS THAT URINE FROM YOUR TOILET?" I said no and explained it was water with a little soap. I called later just to be sure she understood what it was- I wanted to be responsible in case there was some issue with that method of grey water disposal. During the call, I also pointed out that treating guests this way, with this menacing constant suspicion doesn't help guests feel welcome. She told me to never make another reservation there (way ahead of you) and that if your RV is fully contained, one should use the site hookup. I thought I was doing them a favor but I guess not. I guess my money is not good enough for Angela or maybe her boss? Next thing I know I get a call from the same number and I picked up with the assumption that they were going to apologize. No, now they are accusing me of dumping toilet paper on their lot. The person said there was urine and toilet paper and that I need to return and clean it. I asked if I need to call the police because this was starting to become harassment. She said I needed to bring lye... I asked if she was accusing me of lying. It was so wild. She said no L-Y-E it's easy to remember. Are they disposing of bodies? WOW I have never been so freakishly mistreated by a camp host.

The tow truck driver towed us to the fairground in Ukiah. We got in pretty late but the camp hosts took care of us and got us a spot. The next day we were supposed to get a replacement RV by 9am but it didn't show up till 6pm. The hosts were nice enough to let us stay all day waiting for it to arrive. We ended up staying another night because it got so late. We needed room to tow the old one away and deliver a new one, so the hosts actually stuck a RESERVED sign on the space next to us so we'd have to room we needed. We really appreciate all their help and definitely to stay there again in the future.

This is hands down the worst RV park we have stayed at. Here is a list of all the reasons that make…read moreit terrible. In short, AVOID. 1) the owners are not only rude, but all the long term tenants (and this place is mostly people that live here full time) are scared of them. It's so weird, we had the permanent folks approach us on 3 different occasions telling us we were doing something wrong and the owners are super strict and they just don't want us getting in trouble. We got approached right when we arrived. Again the next morning. And one of them approached us again in the laundry room. We are parents of two kids, we weren't partying at all or even at the site to just sleep. So weird. 2) since it's mostly long term folks, this is their home, I get it, they don't want a bunch of vacationers ruining what they have going on, but why on earth are you even allowing people to camp for a few nights. It's crazy weird here. 3) no kids at all, nothing for kids to do. Don't come here if you want a kid friendly place. 4) your neighbors are literally a few feet away. Their picnic table is directly next to yours. 5) you have to hold your sewage connection down with a rock (I'm not kidding) 6) the people who live here full time, their dogs can bark but yours can't. I heard dogs barking constantly but we were approached by the owner after being gone for 1.5hr and she snarled and said "your dog was acting a fool" (her exact words) so we were forced to board our dogs bc their is no way our dogs won't bark when there are other dogs barking constantly a few feet away. 7) site is not nice Photos attached of our neighbors picnic table next to ours & our other neighbors on the other side of us to show how close you are. ****update in response to "business employee"**** This is by far the nicest and most respectful I have been spoken to by an employee since I arrived at the RV park. I have to wonder if they have someone managing their social media or who this person is, because they certainly weren't speaking to my family this way at the site. Also we were not offered a site in the back initially. We were told that there was a long term tenant with a skittish dog and it would not be good for us to be back there with our kids & dogs. When I brought up the space issue again after I was rudely approached and was told my "dog was acting a fool" (this is exactly how I was spoken to) she told me that there were sites in the back that did not have full hookups. This was after our first of two very uncomfortable nights there. Also - most sites there have stones over their sewage connection, so a bit surprised by their response on that topic.
