Had the best 4th of July weekend here. It was like a big community everyone having fun and getting along. I will definitely be back.

Spent the night here and there were so many birds! It was awesome. Clear Lake looks really cool wished we could have spent some time here. Bathroom was clean, the front desk person was nice. Neighborhood looked a little sketchy but we did not have any problems at all. read more

Clean bathrooms, put toilet paper in the restrooms. Shower heads don't work properly. Campsites need to be cleaned. Grass has grown much too long. Not a good place to camp. I would rate this campsite a "zero" if available. read more

I enjoyed my stay here on the lake! Beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Was very quiet and peaceful overnight and the stars were amazing. April was amazing and accommodating. She met me at office, took care of the reservation, then showed me to my site and explained how it all worked there. The bathroom was really well maintained and cleaned and had a code which is appreciated since I'm a solo female traveler. It felt very safe. The next morning my dog was able to meet and play with some of the dogs that were also there. Big plus for me since I travel with my dog and love when he also has a good experience. I would recommend this location and April, and of course I'll stay there again when I'm back in town. read more

My travel trailer was robbed. Public lighting was not maintained/working. Staff is almost never present, even during business hours. Vagrants and criminals wander unchecked through the park, even living there. The long-term spaces are being used as permanent homes with below par access. Electrical hookups are not secure, with wires exposed. The water pressure is exceedingly high, requiring each individual camper to buy their own pressure reducer. The property owners take no initiative to cleanup. read more

My first ever trip to an RV "resort". Great location and its beautiful...if you're looking at the lake but not the huge trash infested ditch behind my spot. Oh... don't mind the noisy trailer park next door. Don't expect a return phone call after 3 calls...same with the 2 emails. The "bathhouse" was locked up tight so don't expect that if you're dry camping...better use that ditch like everybody else. There is no sign, no directions to your spot, and no lights if you happen to arrive after dark (like we did). If you're towing a car, don't follow the GPS to the boat ramp (like we did because there's no sign telling you you've arrived or that the campground is really behind the parking lot to the abandoned tackleshop). Paid $137 for 2 days. What a joke. read more

Convenient location is really the only good thing going for this place. It's within spitting distance to a small park that has a music festival every Friday, which is across the street from the town hall. The showers work and I haven't had any problems with no how water, but I heard someone else had. I have not eaten at the restaurant, but I've heard from multiple people that the food has diminished in quality lately. I don't think the bathrooms have ever been cleaned; there are spider webs in ever conceivable corner and paint is peeling from the walls. There is no toilet paper or seat covers whatsoever. Many of the picnic tables and chairs are in shambles. read more

I was super nervous about camping here after reading reviews, but I'm so glad we kept our reservation. We camped in October for a fishing tournament and it seemed like most people camping were part of the tourney group. Yes, the grass is a bit overgrown in areas but not within the sites themselves. It's centrally located to a lot of amenities. We enjoyed walking into town for ice cream, breakfasts and drinks at night. The park nearby is impeccably kept. We did see a few "long term tent tenants" in the campground, but they were friendly and stayed at the far end of the camp ground. We stayed in full hookup sites and would definitely camp here again. read more

I stayed 4 days. The spots were overgrown with bushes and was unkept. Yellow Jackets bit me 4 times in the hand just trying to hook up the electrical and water lines. The electrical boxes and sewer connections are on top of the RV site next to you and was very cramped. They stated they had been closed and just reopened but there is a person who lives on-site and should have had the grounds mowed and trimmed and ready to re-open. The electricity would shut off approximately 10-12 time an hour after 4pm due to the heat and there were only four campers in the campground. I was told they were dealing with a problem and hoping to rewire the campground with new lines. There is no 50amp hook ups. I saw three petrified dead birds on the ground throughout the campgrounds. I recommend they fill in the inlet in between some of the grounds and create more RV spaces or larger spaces. Not a good use of the grounds for Rvs but has a lot of campgrounds that would be good. It had a very short walk to the boat launch but other than that I would not stay again. The price was too high to be dealing with the poor conditions of the park. The employees were friendly. read more

Avoid at all costs. I literally had to sleep with one eye open every night. My family had come to Willowpoint a few years back. At the time, I thought the place was not the greatest, but now I look back and realize that was definitely this area's golden time. When we were last here, the tiny town had cute shops and lots of people, a bustling dock loading people every few minutes, and the camp area was filled with campers. Flash forward 4 years later and this place is a ghost town. Literally. Most of the shops were vacant and out of business. The marina had no swimmers, barely any people out on the water, and we were the only campers in the area. Oh wait, there was also a tent full of hobo's a few spots over that I'm sure lived there...So yeah we were the only actual CAMPERS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SITE. Oh man. So let's go day by day. Friday: Arrive at Willowpoint. You don't have to checkin anywhere, just go to your designated spot, then the managers will come find you later. We set up camp, lakeside, with broken tables covered in bird poop and just useless and dirty. So if you avoid my advice about not going here, then do yourself a favor and bring a table cloth. We checked out the bathrooms and no surprise - no toilet paper. All weekend long. There was no toilet paper. 4 stalls, 2 of them with broken toilets, the 3rd one had a turd streak on it, and the 4th one with a broken lock. The broken lock toilet was really the only option we had but no way were any of us setting our bottoms on that dirty thing. But seriously, who knows how long that streak of turd had really been on the toilet, it was there the entire weekend we stayed. Second of all someone had left a disturbing gruesome threatening letter on the table. It made everything scarier and it really showed the environment of this camp (keep in mind, this is not only a camp, it is an RV park as well). Night time comes along and the hobo's in the tent start to argue and cuss and scream and fight and seriously where is the management at this place!?!?!? Saturday: We walk over to the marina to checkout jet ski's and boats and paddle boards. The abandon building says the main office is somewhere else, but there are still hours on the building that said they would open at 11. We waited a few hours till 11, come back, ask the guy if we could rent some things, and he says we have to go to their off-site office to go rent it. And we pointed out the hours and he didn't even know that the hours were wrong. *que infinite eye rolls.* Anyway, we get in our cars to inconveniently drive somewhere else to rent a jet ski and paddle boards. I feel like this really hurts the business and is an overall inconvenience. After jetsking we went back to camp to find that the people in the other tent had begun fighting. AGAIN. But this time was intense, with even louder full blown out yelling and screams and pushing, and eventually the cops came. 3 cop cars and 1 cop truck along with a fire fighters and whatnot. At this point you would think management would come out to see the scene. But nope. You would think any acknowledgment from management would happen but nope. The police and fire fighters left, with no progress to the situation, the fighting people still in their place, continuing to fight. At this point, I was not only mad at the camping "resort" but also just at the structure of this town. Later that night, around 1am, some people decided to put up a tent right next to mine, in OUR designated space. How frightening is it to wake up in an unfamiliar place with voices you do not know who they belong to and headlights shining through your tent!? These rando's slept there for a few hours then ended up packing their things to leave once sunrise came. This place has no regulation of who comes in. If people are coming in to sleep for free, why should we have to pay? Sunday: Woke up, brushed my teeth in the bathrooms, still looking at turd streaked toilets, and no toilet paper or seat covers. Still dealing with people fighting and bird poop covered tables and seats. Even the chairs and tables set out near the office that look nice from afar are actually not usable because they are covered in a mess of cobwebs and more bird poop. I get it, you can't control natural animal feces. What you can control is if you decide to clean it though. You can't control the actions of people who stay in the camping area. What you can control is whether or not you would let these people stay though. These are all conditions as to what drove people away and I can now see why this place was completely empty when we went. read more

Expensive. $35 for a tent during offseason at a shitty campsite without outlets? Not to mention waking at 6 AM up to a random guy with a pit bull asking who you are... after you have already paid and checked in. On top of that the dude tried to charge is for "his" propane so that we could take showers. We told him that we thought the $35 included showers... So he gets pissed off and locks the bathrooms. The management cleared it up, he was just a resident trying to make a quick buck but I'm definitely not going here again anytime soon. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would, maybe for a group of young people it would be nice. But for a family it's the biggest disappointment ever. There's no organization we didn't even have to check in just go to your campsite. When we arrived there people were parked in our spot had to wait for them to finally move their car. People are blasting music late at night and screaming being so obnoxious. The campsites are so so tight I've been camping so much and I've never been this close to other people. The campsites have no fire pit, no grill, and no picnic table. There's no room to do anything I will definitely not be returning to this place. read more

We have many memories here and the cafe, boat rentals, camping and much more. Our family has hope that many will find a way to rebuild after the wildfire as it has changed and destroyed so much! God help all of you. So many tears like a falling star has gone too far. read more

I am in Arizona and wanted to get pizza delivery to some Clayton fire victims staying at Willow Point. No pizza places in Lakeport could do it before 4 pm. Even though Cheese's pizza wished they could. (Round Table wasn't so nice). Anna at Willow Point stepped up and offered to go pick up the prepaid pizza and hand deliver to the fire victims. I used to come to Willow Point Resort back in the 1980's when it was a resort. They used to have nice cabins to rent, a swimming beach, a game room, Paddle boats, a laundry room, marina and fuel doc, nice store and little cafe, and service was OUTSTANDING. This place is like a tweakers haven now. What a dump!!! There is a clunky mexican resturant now where the office and store used to be and the boat ramp really sucks. Really crappy camp sites that need serious attention. how sad. read more

As a baby boomer, I remember my family and I would camp every summer at Willowpoint. During the 50's, 60's, and 70's it was a fantastic place for families to stay. Lots to do, everything was so close, for shopping, etc. By the way, I do remember the cotton from the trees blowing in the air, happens to be a fond memory along with the sound of doves, wood peckers, and bull-frogs, jet boats on the lake. Beautiful memories! I only gave a 4 star rating because there was only 1 bathroom building facility on site at the time, back then. Other than that, I wish I could go back in time. Made many friends there, same families also came up every summer. I will take a trip soon to check it out. read more

Have went there for 2 years for the 4th of July and its very nice. We clean up any goose droppings(no big deal), then set up camp. A lot of improvements have been done and make this a very nice campground on Clearlake to stay. The campground staff is very nice..... read more
