Standard King was about 200 for the night which felt a little high for what it was and the customer service is very very flat. We were coming for my baby shower at 2pm and asked if we could check in a little early to freshen up and was told it'd be 25 dollars. Now, if this was a packed resort and housekeeping would need to do extra I get it but they had SO many open rooms letting someone use it a few hours early hurts no one and is just bad hospitality. Never stayed in a hotel that didnt let us check in without a fee if the room was already ready. When we get there around 8:30pm there wasn't a soul in the lobby for at least 10 minutes which is also just bad service. I've been alone at the front desk and called for cover or at least left a small sign of when I'd left and that I'd be back in 5-10 minutes. I'm excited Konocti is back but 200 bucks for a still very simple and old feeling room where there is little customer service or genuine care from staff is a bummer. I've spent a decade in the service industry and worked at boutique hotels and larger ones where our prices were justified by amenities and wonderful customer service and so far really nothing makes this place feel cozy or special yet. Just feels like a money grab.

I wish they could add more lighting poles by the docks for night fishing, kinda dark or replace the burnt out pole lights. I really enjoy staying here, been coming here for many years. A few things i fixed while we were there, a couple stove burners didn't work, also the toilet seat cover was very loose, i tighten the nuts and fixed it. One last item the refrigerator light bulb was burned out. Maintenance should check these rooms more often., i did ask the maid for more paper towels but she never came back, other than these few things it was great staying here. We like coming here to fish and relax, much better in summer time. We will be going back at the end of May if all possible. One last item, The bench by the boat ramp is very loose, possible safety issue. Many thanks.

This one is located right on the lake, and the views from our first floor condo were wonderful! We came in mid February, but I'd imagine a stay in the summer would offer many outdoor amenities. The cons: - beds are a little soft - no cafe or restaurant on-site

Here's the updated version with your additional comments included:…read more My family and I were so excited to visit WorldMark Clear Lake, and while there were some things we enjoyed, our stay was disappointing overall. The two-bedroom, two-bath townhome has a fantastic layout and felt very spacious. We also appreciated having the barbecue on our private patio, which was very convenient for family meals. The living room was comfortable, and we were able to enjoy watching the soccer game on the TV. Unfortunately, the resort could use much better maintenance and housekeeping. As we walked up to the second floor, the stairways were noticeably dirty and looked like they needed to be power washed. There were spiderwebs throughout the property, and the number of bugs everywhere was overwhelming. The property itself is in desperate need of renovation. The front entrance and common areas are the first impression guests receive, and they were not clean or well-maintained. The overall appearance of the resort lacked curb appeal and did not feel welcoming. The townhome has a wonderful layout and plenty of potential, but it also needs updating and a much more thorough cleaning. The biggest disappointment was the customer service at the front office. I couldn't believe the way my family was treated. The staff was not welcoming or helpful, and they would greatly benefit from customer service training. Guests should feel valued and respected from the moment they arrive. The fitness center has quality equipment, but the room is so small that the large machines make it feel cramped. We were also unable to enjoy the pool because it was overcrowded with large inflatable floats, loud rap music, and there was nowhere to sit and relax. One small inconvenience was that the living room TV only had one remote, which made it difficult for everyone to use. Overall, WorldMark Clear Lake has a beautiful location and a well-designed townhome layout, but the resort needs significant renovations, better cleanliness, improved maintenance, a more presentable front entrance, and much stronger customer service. With these improvements, it could provide the relaxing vacation experience guests expect.

One member of our family got there a day before the rest. She felt as though we was tricked from the pictures. She was told no refunds. My aunt was so disgusted she nearly got back on the plane and flew home. The place from the outside had spider webs and dirt all over the place. Its seriously needs to be pressure hosed from the outside all over. This is only where the problems start. In my beach house cottage the power and stove went out. They stated its a DFI switch or something like that, nevertheless after having a "employee who can fix it." They couldn't find her, she went home. So I had to wait to finish cooking. After about 2 hours they magically came back on. This seems as though its been a ongoing problem from the way they made it sound. Another one of my aunts had to wait for her unit to be painted 3 hours past check it. Yes I said painted! Who paints a unit same day of check in? Well later I find out they had a squatter who wouldn't leave dying there. the place smelled so bad they had to paint it to remove the smell. They wouldve been better off not renting the unit till it was complete. My aunt had to try and sleep there with paint fumes and she has asthma. Lastly mother and I was hanging out till midnight. When it was time for her to goto bed, she discovers her unit flooded from the AC. Her Bedding was soaked. They did come and mop it up and give new bedding. They literally gave the new bedding to my mom. My mother is handicap, the guy claims he has never maid a bed before. My mother could've slipped or gotten electrocuted, the offered no help. Here is the worst part they offered a $50 discount for the trouble. Moral of the story is NEVER got there. They need new owners and management that gives a dam.

The only disappointment was that one of the three riverside tents was not next to the other two, even though we had booked the tents in 1 reservation. I thought I had confirmed they were next to each other, but it did not work out that way. While we were at Wildhaven, we had horrible rainy weather. However, our family still had a blast! The rain didn't stop the kids from biking, scootering, fishing, etc. We made the best of it and everyone had a great time. The facilities were clean, the tents were spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the website accurately described all amenities. We paid extra for the early check in and it was worth it because it gave us more time to get settled in before heading to the river and maximizing our first day. I would recommend water shoes for adults and kids because the river is really rocky. We failed to bring water shoes and lost two pairs of sandals that floated down stream. We look forward to another trip at Wildhaven :)

This was our second stay at Wildhaven. If you had asked me after our first visit last fall whether…read moreI'd recommend this place, my answer would have been an emphatic yes. We loved it so much that we planned to make it an annual family tradition. Unfortunately, this trip completely changed my opinion. This time we booked one of the cabins instead of a tent. My reservation clearly stated there would be four guests, yet the cabin only had three pillows. My kids slept on the futon, and the blanket provided for them had obviously not been washed--it was covered in dog hair and goathead stickers. When I asked for extra pillows and blankets, I was told they didn't have any available. I ended up having to Instacart pillows and blankets on the second day because it was too late to get them the first night. My kids used my blanket that first night. I understand and appreciate that Wildhaven is dog-friendly, but I think there should either be designated pet-friendly cabins or a much more thorough cleaning process between guests. What if my children had severe dog allergies? That simply isn't acceptable. The campground was also completely booked, so I expected the shared facilities to be cleaned more frequently. Instead, the men's restroom was filthy by 7:00 p.m., and the cleaning log showed it hadn't been serviced since 4:19 p.m. The handwashing and dishwashing stations were also out of paper towels. The final disappointment was the wagon policy. Campers are encouraged to buy firewood on-site to help prevent the spread of invasive insects, which we happily did. However, we were told we had to pay to rent a wagon just to transport the firewood and ice to our cabin. Last fall, guests were allowed to use the wagons at no charge for this purpose. Charging extra for something that supports campground rules and conservation efforts felt frustrating and unnecessary. Wildhaven is still a beautiful property, and that's what makes this experience so disappointing. We truly wanted this to become a yearly family tradition, but after this visit, I don't think we'll be returning. I hope management addresses these issues because this place has so much potential, and our first experience showed just how great it can be.

I was a local kid who worked my summer jobs cleaning cabins, then at the pool snack bar and then, finally, at the coveted lifeguard position at the two pools. All the "city kids" would come every summer and I had my "summer friends" when I wasn't in school. It was magical. I now live in San Diego and my children can't understand that magic so I try to compare it to movie, "Dirty Dancing." They are jealous. I don't blame them; Pine Grove in the 1980s was something out of a movie. Anyone who was there has endless stories about the place. I read someone on here say the new owners keep the local "riff raff" out... I don't know what that means but back when I was a local kid working there, the city kids and local kids loved meeting every summer. I hope that kind of kindness isn't lost on this generation.

The reviews were sparse and mixed but the space looked beautiful online. I reached out directly by email to Joe, describing the type of event I wanted, and he was very responsive and helpful and generous. First of all, if you read nothing else, I have to rave about the infrastructure. Joe and the folks over there are really bright, mindful, and hardworking - and you can see from what they're building. The bathroom/shower complex near the campground is new and well built. A stone's throw away, the pool area is beautiful and clean, with a majestic lawn to run around on and great facilities. We rented the Mooncat Tiny House and the Glamping Tent and they are both cute, well proportioned, and well designed. The owners have beautiful things and great taste - we found the kitchen stocked with Japanese knives and Staub & Le Creuset cookware. They've cleverly set up mesh WiFi around the whole area that, while not reliable enough for Zoom calls, is impressive. I got a chuckle when a friend, sitting on a stump, asked me for the WiFi password. Even the structures that aren't new are taken care of; things are lived in and not luxury, but nothing is dilapidated. When I first got there, it took some time to get my bearings. The property is rather large (we never really did explore the east half of it) and there are a lot of structures, some inhabited and some available to rent. Folks of all stripes seem to live there at all times of year. I think the thing that first threw me off is you're never TRULY out of eyesight or earshot from someone, despite the woodsy environ. There's often the odd person or small group sitting on a porch, working on a project, hanging by the pool, or walking a dog - it's more like an unstructured neighborhood in the woods than a secluded campground. I soon met Joe and found him to be a helpful and well-meaning fellow. In time, folks in my group struck up conversations with the other folks around. Noah and one of the kids came to clean out the glamping tent for us and were very welcoming as well. Everyone was friendly and I came to realize this was a community of folks who had come here - perhaps some temporarily - to get away from the outside world and find some time and space for themselves. The attitude as I see it was rather healthy and positive. People there seem to be generous of mind and spirit. I was nervous that our group - 30-somethings drinking and floating in the pool, yelling and cursing at one another as we played games like spikeball and cornhole - would be an unwelcome nuisance, but the residents were really kind, accepting, and even fascinated by our antics. I would recommend Pine Grove highly to anyone, but mostly I think I've found a gem that I hope is around for years to come. I think when we all have young kids and want a place to spend a quiet weekend where they can explore, this will be our oasis. If you're reading this, thanks for being such great hosts, Joe, Noah, & everyone!
