Pretty divey- but cheap stiff drinks! Staff is pretty friendly- but it's cash only! So remember to hit an ATM- if not, they have one there for a small fee. They serve the traditional bar food i.e.:pizza and ask for beef jerky at the bar! So good after some drinks! Play pool, and fooseball too and hit the jukebox for some old songs. Wound up here last night for the first time when we realized we were going to miss last call at Sloan's. My friends weren't feelin the Providence, so we walked down to the Lakeview Lounge instead. This place is a dive, plain and simple. But it's a pretty good one. They have outdoor seating and you can see Sloan's Lake from the bar. They open at 7am each day, so if you're so inclined, you can head over here to get drunk and watch the sun rise. No matter what time of day you wind up here though, I can promise you that the drinks will be cheap. As you might expect, draft options are limited but they do offer Fat Tire which I was happy to see. And a big ol' glass of it was around 2.50, so I'm certainly not going to complain about that. They also offer "mystery shots" for 2.50-- 5 different bottles of liquor (no tequila) covered in paper bags, so not even the bartender knows what you're going to get. I wasn't brave enough to try one, but I'm intrigued, so maybe next time. There are a couple pool tables, a foosball table, a pinball machine, and a jukebox. There's even a fireplace. I'm very curious to know if it ever gets used. Cash only, but the drinks are so incredibly cheap it's hardly an issue. read more

I'm going to start this by saying that 5 stars does not reflect valet service, fancy cocktails or trendy interiors. This is a salute to what neighborhood bars should and could be. As stated, this is a no nonsense, 7am open, cash only dive bar that checks all the boxes. It's located right across from Sloans Lake and sticks out as one of the few places still kicking after the lust of gentrification. Outside of the cheap drinks and colorful regulars you'll find a half lit pinball machine (adds to the challenge I think) a foosball table and two pool tables. The unsung hero at this place may be the jukebox that time forgot. This is not your digital juke with Internet and top 40, this is a analog monster with handwritten stock cards and classic rock mixes. U Can't beat .25 a play Yes, the bathrooms look like a seedy alley you may or may not get shanked in and I'm sure it could use a solid bleaching here or some paint there but isn't that what makes a place like this what it is and not every other bar in the area? Lakeview Lounge - After work drink - Dive Bars Near Me - Edgewater, Colorado

On a recent trip back to Denver we decided to re visit the good ole Lakeview Lounge. Holy Hell this place is as awesome as a dive as I remember. First, they have mystery shots wrapped in brown paper bags. Second, a pretty neat outdoor seating area that looks over several lanes of the lovely Sheridan Blvd, and Third a completely dumpy bathroom full of shit smells and peeling paint. Overall, I say this dumper is a okay in my book. The cleanest part of the place is the front windows that allows you to look past the traffic as mentioned before and into Sloans Lake and the Denver skyline. One of these years I'll have to saddle up and watch the sunrise in this gloomy dive. I'll put it on my bucket list. read more

If you like a dive bar this is the local spot. Jukebox, billiards, foosball and pinball. NEEDS a karaoke night!! There are always at least a handful of friends hanging out here even on slower nights. Drinks are priced pretty fairly, with fair pours and daily specials. Melissa runs a bar with the perfect mix of smiles, humor and sass. She's priceless. read more

Checked Lakeview lounge out last week with my good friend. We had a awesome time we went in thinking we were only gunna have a beer and then ended up chillin there for a couple hours. The service and deals on drinks are awesome, the locals are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is perfect if ur just hanging with some friends looking to chill out and have some cheap drinks. This is one of the better dive bars I been too for sure! read more
