Such fun! We attended the Halloween event. We came with a group of folks and had a great evening. There was live music and everyone brought it with their costuming. I had the Mexican lager as my beverage of choice. Light and delicious. My husband ordered for us and got us each a salad. I had the Chicken Chopped salad and he had the Southwest. We shared the Bison Meatball Sub pizza. It had bison meatballs, green peppers, onion, provolone, mozzarella, topped with parmesan herb mix and a red sauce swirl on a red base. Delicious! The service was swift. The staff was all in costume as well. It was a very fun evening.

Friendly staff, Great out door dog friendly patio with a great view of Sloan Lake! Came here for a little stop after a walk and stayed for Happy Hour! had some tasty fries as well! Highly recommend this place! I first went to The Patio but the dog friendly area they offered had no view during this winter season. So glad we kept moving, Worked out perfectly!

great spot to enjoy the beautiful weather! I got Margherita Pizza and some drinks, and it was 10/10! I use a mobility scooter too and it was accessible and easy to navigate. Will be back next time I visit Denver!

Great spot for a beer. 3 levels gave us the option of indoors or outside on the deck. It started to rain when we were outside and we quickly found a table on the lower level without missing a beat. 90 schilling beer was delicious. Definitely a younger crowd here but we fit in just fine. Dog friendly and lots of folks trying out there pizza which looked delicious.

Fun Oktoberfest! Had a wonderful first time here this past August for their Oktoberfest. They had two floors of festivities and several contests! First off, they had great cool mugs! Then, the German beers were flowing upstairs to n their beautiful patio overlooking the city. Staff was very nice! I loved the contests like stein holding and the costume contest. They gave tons of prizes and everything was quite affordable! I'll definitely be back for this event to kick off Oktoberfest season next year!

Quick stop for a drink and a view. Nice bartender who was very friendly and helpful with different drink suggestions. Can't wait to go back!

It was great to revisit Odell's IPA!

I have had Odell Brewing plenty of times from their Fort Collins location. I haven't been to the Sloan Lake location until recently and it was nice to revisit some of their old beers again after quite a few years has passed and many beers later. Their IPA is one of my favorite beers of theirs and it still holds up as being impressive after all these years. The hoppy, floral and sweet flavor features are always enjoyable to encounter and the light bodied and smooth aspects to the beer are great to experience as well. Definitely a fine and fond revisit to a beer brand and a beer I had often!

Conveniently located nearby Sloan's Lake so it's the perfect place to have a beer if you're visiting and walking around the lake. It started raining on us so we ran over to grab a beer. Lots of seating inside and some tables even have a view of the lake. I ordered a stout and it was delicious! Great spot.

In my opinion, nothing beats a rooftop patio situation, (this experience included)! We were able to try salad, fries, and a pizza and all were very good!

Finally stopped in after walking by so many times and I am happy to say it did not disappoint! I walk around Sloan Lake weekly and always walk past Odell. This past weekend I finally decided to come inside. It is massive! They have plenty of seating on the first floor and also on the rooftop deck which overlooks the lake. Plenty of TV's all around so you can watch the game. They do have an elevator up to the top floor. ADA Accessible! You order at the counter, and they will find you. The atmosphere inside is so relaxed, we felt comfortable coming in wearing our workout clothing. Seems like more of a casual clothing type of place. Now the food was the real deal. We got a salad and a pizza which was perfect for two very hungry people. It truly hit the spot! I highly recommend and I cannot wait to come back. This is a great hidden gem around sloan lake. Overall 5/5 experience!

I was in town with some girlfriends and happened to be across the street at the park when we decided it was time to make a pitstop. Low and behold Odell Brewing was right in front of us and we noticed they had a rooftop patio. We were sold. When we first walked in, the place downstairs was completely empty. No surprise given how beautiful it was outside. Didn't even get a welcome from the staff. After figuring out how to get upstairs we headed to the bar to grab drinks. They have an indoor section and then a large outside area. It had shade which was lovely, and misters too. The view overlooked the park which was a great backdrop. I got their house made seltzer, which in my opinion tasted just like a beer. I get that they're a brewery but the sign said seltzer. I just didn't know what I was getting and I wasn't a fan. The food on the other hand was outstanding. I got a caesar salad and shared some appetizers with my friends. My salad was absolutely delicious. I wasn't expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised. I cleaned my plate. I snacked on some fries too and they were a good as well. Overall, they've got something great going on. While I'm not a beer drinker, I'd come back for the food and rooftop. The vibes were great.

Stopped by while we were in the neighborhood for another event. It was a lovely sunny day. We had a nice cold pint. Odell is one of our favorite Colorado breweries. The beer was cold and delicious! The view was lovely. The rooftop patio has tons of seating and his misters for those hot, sunny Colorado days!

I am a fan. 10JUL2022 A delicious lunch of Detroit style pizza (chorizo, jalapeños, pineapple) with some 50¢ beers and some regular priced. Excellent service fron Ashley and Crystal. The cool air inside was soothing on this 36°C afternoon. Enjoyed using our lifetime Beer Club memberships. We all survived Covid in 2020-21. 09JUN2018 Watched my 2-year-old grandson shove most of a kid's grilled cheese sandwich into his maw. Oh, and my sando was delicious and the service was excellent. 20MAR2018 A quiet Tuesday afternoon. Enjoyed a delicious Hogshead ale. 26DEC2015 Still crowded. Still has delicious pizza. Still has a terrific beer selection. Still has friendly staff. I am still happy. 05DEC2014 It was crowded. This is why no one goes here anymore. Ordered beer and drank some whilst in vulture mode waiting for 2 seats at the bar. Five minute wait. Ate a delious pizza and drank more beer. Happy. 14NOV2013 "Artisan Sandwich of the week: Turducken - Smoked Turkey, Chicken & Duck Confit, with Cranberry Walnut Stuffing, Bacon, and Sage & Apple Cider Gravy on a House Roll" This is an awesome sandwich. 08SEP2013 Cordon Bleu Chicken sandwich of the day. This is the BEST I have ever had. Very different. Slices of chicken breast with very smokey ham chunks in a dreamy cheese sauce with pickles. Yes, pickles. 16JUN2013 Fathers' Day. Walked in at 1415 and it was packed. Enjoyed great beers (3rd beer free!) and a 9/10 Reuben. Superb mango gazpacho. Drew and his crew make the best food. Great service as usual. Two kids (along with Mom and Dad) sitting at the bar. I hope they drank some beer. Still only 2 blocks from my house. 27FEB2012 What is with the Yelpers voting Hops & Pie as "not good for kids"? 1. All kids like pizza. 2. Some kids like beer. 3. Some kids like soda. I think Hops & Pie is great for kids and I see lots of them there whenever I visit. 08JAN2012 Why isn't it named "Hops and Mac"? As in Macaroni and Cheese and bacon, ham hocks, peas, IPA. Went on a Sunday afternoon (will I be happy when the Donkeys are no longer on TV) to drink beers and eat. Decided to "step outside the box" and ordered "Mac & Cheese" instead of pizza. This is the best M&C I have ever eaten in a restaurant and it will also make me step up my efforts at home. 18DEC2011 I arrive at 1347 which is 13 minutes before they open on a beautiful warm Sunday afternoon in Denver. There are people (shall we refer to them as "alcoholics"?) who are also waiting. When the door is unlocked (3 minutes early), 14 people rush in. At 1406, it is standing room only. What makes this place so popular? Could it be the Avery Brewing tasting flight? Rumpkin beer. Could it be the slice of the day: Cheeseburger? Could it be the excellent bartender service? Could it be the perfect bar atmosphere? Well, I won't tell. You need to visit for yourself. 05OCT2011 This time, we ate there. Excellent pizza. Very good service. 13SEP2011 making progress Free Wi-Fi. Always good. 31AUG2011 Walked the 2 blocks from my house and picked up an Artisan Pizza. Excellent. Super thin crust. Bursting with flavor. $2 craft beer in cans (6 to chose from) on Wednesdays. I really need to return and just work my way thru the huge beer selection.

Lot of locals here and people from all around town stopping in who know what's good. A gem of north Denver for sure. Hands down. A little something for everyone. The staff kindly gave multiple reminders before closing. The Japanese rice lager (forgot the name) was amazing. So good, in fact, that they ran out on this particular evening. As posted throughout the bar, they have instituted a mandatory 18% service fee in lieu of tips. For better or worse, be aware of this. It means you don't need to tip. As far as I'm concerned, it didn't have a negative impact on the service from the bartenders.

A great option for young families on a warmer day…read more I stopped by Edgewater Beer Garden with some friends with the intention of enjoying a seemingly warmer Denver winter day, and we had no trouble finding seating on the patio. Maybe we were just brave, but with blankets and the outdoor heaters the space served well for a small get together. The inside, however, was PACKED. Was it something in the air that influenced every young family West of Denver to crave local brews and fried food options? Or is this just the typical crowd for this establishment? Either way, I don't believe myself to be the target market for this location. After a few hours, the children's birthday party and other large family gatherings occupying the warm interiors finally disappeared, and we were able to enjoy all the splendors of their heated former firehouse. The staff who was wandering the facilities to take empty trays and glasses from tables were exceptionally nice, the food options were as plentiful as the variety on tap, and the patio's ambience was exactly what we needed. Ticked all the boxes you'd expect of a suburban beer hall. Overall, not really my scene, as I don't have a golden doodle or a curious toddler, but if that sounds like an apt description for the company you keep, you'll enjoy this spot immensely.

So, with no check-ins, I never received a "write a review" reminder. One of those oddities of life I guess. This place slaps. I only learned that phrase in the last two years, so it still feels odd to say. For those unhip, unaware, or older than me folks, "Slap" is a slang verb meaning "to be excellent or amazing." I guess, this is the new amazeballs, which I actually once enjoyed using as a descriptor. Barfly (yes, as I type it, I keep hearing "Barf-Lee", which is less than appetizing), is great. This is the lounge/big bar/small stage/event area just to the left as you walk in to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Sloans Lake. Which is my favorite place to see films. If you do not like Alamo Drafthouse, you are probably one of those terrible human beings who enjoy talking and texting during films. Which if you did not know, may be fine for your living room, but is trash behavior in a movie theatre. Feel free to fight me on this. Barfly has comedy. It has game show night. It hosts groups showing horror films. It has live music. It has trivia. It has drag queen bingo (hmmm, why is there no "drag queen trivia"?). It has a full bar with solid beer offerings. It has the entire Alamo theatre menu available. It has hard working staff members (Rae and Sam are extra awesome). It has varied seating (stools, chairs -- both high & low, leather armchairs and couches). It has big televisions. It . . . it . . . it . . . slaps.
