    Pretty loud!

Very good pizza and brews here! Place gets very busy and very loud, so heads up there! Service was very good and the quality of the pizza was second to none as was the roasted pear salad! Very much worth the stop if in the area!

We had the pear salad, Detroit style pizza with red onions and jalapeños, New York style pizza with mushrooms, and bread pudding. The pear salad was delicious and unique. The Detroit style pizza was better than the New York style pizza. I appreciated the vegan options on the menu, with no additional cost! It would have been great if there were a non-dairy ice cream alternative. Service was plentiful and friendly, and the vibes are casual and fun with plenty of seating (mostly tables and chairs inside and picnic tables outside). It would have been appreciated if the outdoor area had heat lamps--when it started to get windy and cold, we had to ask to go inside. There are 3 fire pits outside with minimal seating around them and they were not turned on.

Nothing but high praise here, this spot blew it out of the water! Off the hook jalapeño brined wings, impeccable sourdough pies, at a reasonable cost. Indoor and outdoor seating (heated during the cooler nights), very chill homey atmosphere. Our server was nice, less attentive than anticipated.

We tried this place and another very well known deep dish pizza place in the area and quality-wise we found they were very comparable. This place easily gets the nod over the other place we went to because the Happy Hour price is an unbeatable deal (plus the other place charged an exorbitant price for ranch dressing while Hops & Pie did not). I have had deep dish all over the country and you'd be hard pressed to make a better pizza than what Hops and Pia is dishing out. Also, at least for the deep dish, they are ALL "build your own" style and you pay by the topping. The atmosphere is cozy and a little divy, so it's a no brainer spot if you don't want a pretentious atmosphere.

I went with a group for a friend's birthday. We met up on a Saturday so we could enjoy their special, the "Saturday Session." This consists of 2 slices of their pizza of the day and 3 pints selected from their draft list, which is extensive. The pie of the day was Margarita. Their tasty red sauce with fresh mozzarella, garlic and fresh basil. So simple, so delicious and all on top of their sourdough crust. Of course, I got a side of ranch to go with my slices. Theirs is made in house and is most excellent. After careful deliberation, I started my pints with Shadow Council from Cerebral Brewing, a delicious black IPA. I always look for the dark beers. This one was moderate at 6.5%. My second pint I trended a bit lighter with Westbound & Down's Mexican Lager, The Coloradan. 4.9% was a nice palate cleanser before I went big with my last choice. La Negra Reserve from La Cumbre Brewing Company, a 10.5% imperial stout rounded our my session for the day. We had a table of ten and our server had no issues with splitting our our checks. She checked on us regularly and kept our session moving smoothly. Toward the end, she brought out a chocolate drizzled rice crispy treat for the birthday boy and we all sang. It was a lovely afternoon.

I got to try a few new places that have great beer selections on my most recent trip to Denver. One of those was Hops and Pie. The tap list is great, and the food is even better. I don't have a pic, but the deep dish pizza is to die for. And is the perfect size for carbo-loading while sipping on some of the best beer in the world. They also do small pours, one of the few places, so I really REALLY appreciated that. Maman: An Imperial Stout from Perennial that they aged in Rittenhouse Rye Barrels. For reference, it is the base beer they use for their adjuncted barrel aged stouts, so you know it's mighty delicious. Jasper With Peacharine: A Double IPA from Fidens using their base flagship Jasper, but with one of the best hops around - Peacharine. Assassin With Coconut, Pecan And Vanilla (2023): An Imperial Stout from Toppling Goliath Barrel Aged before adding Coconut, Pecan, and Vanilla. Reminds me a lot of a chocolate truffle infused with bourbon I had in Kentucky on the Bourbon Trail. DDH Moonk: A Triple IPA from Monkish that they Double Dry Hopped with Strata and Galaxy. __________

Very impressed with this spot. Heard a lot of hype and finally made it in - pizza and beer done the right way. Fun selection of taps, I've heard they get some rare kegs regularly. Service was prompt and friendly. Wait to be seated, and you have your choice of a standard casual indoor setup or a heated outside patio Took advantage of the Tuesday deal of the day. Small cheese Detroit or NY style pizza and a beer for $15. Deal! (Add toppings for $1.31 each). Wings were great pizza was just as good. I could easily see this being a regular spot in the works.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Hops & Pie! I was looking for a place to host a going away get together for about 20 people. Someone suggested this place so I reached out via email and talked with Leah, who informed me they could set aside some tables outside on their patio at no cost, which was amazing as most other places wanted to charge us a fee with F&B minimum. I wasn't sure what to expect but when I arrived we had 4 tables set aside on their very busy patio with my name on them! They allowed me to set up a cake with some decorations and asked if there was anything I needed. The service was amazing all night, the beers were flowing, the food was delicious and everything came out so fast! The patio itself is super cute with a little lawn area and lots of TVs displaying sports games. It was the perfect low key night and everyone had so much fun. I would 100000% recommend Hops & Pie and will definitely be back! Thanks to the staff for helping make the night great (special shout out to our server Sara!)

My husband and I got takeout from here the other day and shared: - Crispy Pork Sandwich with Pasta Salad - BYO Detroit Style Pizza with Pineapple, Pepperoni, and Caramelized Onions Everything was phenomenal. I'm always hesitant to order sandwiches for takeout but this one was still so good. The pizza had the crispy cheese crust that was done perfectly. I'd love to dine in because I'm sure it's even better.

No wait on a Sunday night at 5pm. Very kid-friendly - lots of families & kids, particularly in the covered/heated patio. There was even a shelf with a few simple baby toys and board books. * Garlicky Cheese Bread ($10.50) - 3.5 stars I think they could've gone stronger on the garlic! I didnt know until looking back at the menu that this was a garlic bread - I mostly tasted the cheese. Enjoyed the stretchiness of the cheese, the softness of the bread, and the sharpness and texture of the marinara sauce. * Sourdough New York (Lg $19.95) - 4.5 stars Wow, the sourdough crust was amazing! Just the perfect crunch that disintegrates under your teeth. We got italian sausage and that was flavorful & fine, but truly the star of the show was that perfect crust! * Roasted Pear Salad ($15) - 3.5 stars Decent salad. The ingredients were good in theory, but I found the vinaigrette to be a little too light, the greens not quite crisp enough. The pear may have been over-roasted - I found them too soft and lacking flavor. A good enough filler if you're looking to order salad, but don't go out of your way to order this. * Mindbender - 4.5 stars Refreshing, hoppy, zesty. My partner got multiple glasses, and we tried to buy a six pack to bring to our friends, but it's on draft so the closest thing was a 32 oz bottle.. * Sippin' Tropical Sour - 4 stars A good, light sour!

Great food, good deals. A bit crowded near the bar (I went for the Tuesday Geeks Who Drink), and very noisy early on.

They simply Do Not care about general food safety getting a hot meal here is rather risky I will explain why. My friend was a cook here for a short while and quit on them once he realized they care nothing about serving food that is safe to eat, he saw them do sooo many things that would easily make the food contaminated and unsafe to eat and somehow that was there process of doing things. Here are a couple examples of menu items one should try to steer clear of Chicken parm sandwich- they cook off a large batch of the chicken cutlets and let them sit at room temp for a hour or two until someone orders one they refries them for a minute or so, your supposed to keep food hot once it is cooked especially chicken to leave cooked chicken at room temp for so long is extremely risky to the public's health. Meatball sandwich- they leave there meatballs on the hot line all day then they save all of the hot food items from the day and reuse them the next day without properly cooling any of the food and the cooks will leave these item sit out at room temp for about 45 mins before even putting them into the cooler. Many issues with this practice first of all hot food should be discarded after 5 hours according to the health department because after 5 hours it will start growing bacteria, to leave it on a hot line all day then save them for the next day and not even cool them down properly is Crazy risky to people's health and they do not just do this with the meatballs they do it for many of there hot dishes they are used for days on in, not properly cooled and not properly tracked for how many times it has been reheated and such me they keep them in the same pans it's flat out gross. Other issues my friend encountered there was never seeing anyone at all wash there hands at any point in time, a ancient dishwashing machine that didn't clean anything at all it didn't even get hot so half of there dishes are greasy and have food residue on them, in his short time there he saw people fired for no reason what's so ever from what he was told the owner fires people left and right and doesn't even give reasons as to why, that's why they have ads up on indeed looking for employees 24/7.
