I had Lakewood Exterminating spraying around my house for about a year. They were great until this last time. I specifically communicated that there were ants on my walkway in the front of my house prior to the last visit. I wasn't home to see where/if they sprayed anything. The ants were still there about a week later but I just thought it would take time for them to die. Well a month later and there are ants and spiders everywhere. Not sure if they changed the chemicals they used or if the last tech just didn't spray anything but super disappointed to have to get a new company. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Shawn and his efforts in giving us peace of mind over a recent pest control scare. We suspected that my wife may have brought bed bugs home following a recent out-of-state cabin trip. We called them for a quote knowing we had squirrels or raccoons in our attic and walls ,and they did one .We called explaining we were crazed from sleepless nights and wanted them to come out . We were told they would be out Monday being a few days away ,we waited. We applied powder to the site to see what kind of footprint and identify our animal , also a rag in one hole to see if it was being used .On Monday my husband took off work to be present. We received an email that morning saying they were out and would not do the job because the area was compromised by the powder and rag .With disbelief because we had been waiting for them we checked ourSecurity cameras, yes they had been by at 25 miles an hour never stopping. Never ever again will I call this company nor recommend it. Absolutely no people skills dealing through emails , with no care of the chaos we went through and the time lost waiting for them to come . The only reason I am giving one star is Because they came out and gave us an estimate which was no value to us at all in the end. read more

I called this company on Monday to get a quote on exterminating carpenter ants from my home. I got an actual person on the phone first time I called! The gentleman I spoke with was very friendly and informative. His price beat everyones else in the area and I called a bunch of other companies. His costumer service was outstanding especially when compared to others. He was able to come out the very next day, which is a big plus in my books! He arrived on time and was just a friendly in person as he was on the phone. He never once made me feel dumb for asking a million questions. He took his time treating the outside and inside of my home. He was very thorough. He was here over an hour. He also told me some things that need to be done around the house to help the ant problem. We gave this place a call for pest removal because they were local and donated a portion of their profits to the Lakewood Early Child PTA. I was hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. I got the best. It is nice to deal with someone who knows everything about their line of work so you can just get out of their way and let them do it right the first time. Since that first encounter we have had Shawn out to do some landscaping work. If you like to to banter on about plant genius, species and growth cycles, Shawn will rattle off information like he is reading from a text book. I used this service in the spring of 2017 when I found a carpenter ant problem in my basement. Shawn came by for a flat rate to take a look. He dropped some traps, sprayed around the edges of my basement and around the exterior foundation. Using his 30 day callback guarantee, he came back at my request a few days later when I was still experiencing ants at the same rate. Then I called him back for a third visit. He wasn't able to come back until after the 30 day window but still honored that because I had called him before it expired. This time, we found the carpenter ant nest in my side door frame and he eradicated it. I haven't had a problem since.
