Every two months we have Orkin come to our home to spray for tiny critters. I don't remember exactly when Orkin started coming here. Anyway, the technician's have been very nice and very professional. Scott Volney has been our technician for awhile now and has the qualities I have mentioned above. I called to schedule a pest control assessment. I had completed a quote online. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete the scheduling online. I called and spoke with Becky first. Becky was nice. Becky confused me with the pricing which was different from the online pricing. The pricing was a 80 dollar different. I called back spoke with Carrie. Carrie stated she was a a Supervisor. Carrie gave me several different pricing. Carrie tone was unprofessional. I asked for a Supervisor. Carrie put me on hold for over twenty minutes before I hung up. Carrie stated, she was a Supervisor. However, she was unaware of the pricing. The people are rip offs! read more

I'm not sure I've ever interacted with a more inept and creepy human in my life. The extent of our technicians' knowledge was and I quote: "all ants like sugar baits", genius. We were quickly forced to sign a contract before we the inspection could begin, told we could cancel anytime (which doesn't actually seem possible) and that all poisons were safe for humans and pets because of "scientists". Are you kidding me...!? After the signing the contract we showed the technician the trouble areas where we had seen carpenter ants and he immediately began work. Cool, I thought, he will take a look and let us know what's going on. Boy was I wrong. He immediately began spraying pesticide on everything in our house. I literally watched him soak the cat tower, the area around out pet dishes, and inside out pantry with pesticide. After I heard some strange noises upstairs where we did not discuss or have any issues, I went to investigate. Needless to say, I had to remove the technician from our house at this point as he was rummaging through all of our rooms without consent. Needless to say, I will not recommend to our community has been informed. Do not work with this branch or this company. The only plus side is that either the exterior treatment, which is all we wanted or the exterior painters have, at least for now, stopped the ants from entering our home. The last message I will leave you with is, train your technicians to communicate with the people they are working with. Had this been done 90% of this negative experience would have been mitigated. read more

Terrible service (North Olmsted office). The following problem is just one of several we had with this office. We had yellow jackets and called to have Orkin come to eradicate them as we had a service agreement with them. They sent someone two weeks ago. He said he couldn't do anything about them as it was a two-person job because a ladder was needed. I was okay with that. He called the service manager (SM) while he was still at our house, and the SM was supposed to call me. No call during that week. On Monday of last week, I had to call Orkin to ask what was going on as I had never received a call (and I had called the previous Friday to leave a message for the SM). I was quite angry and asked to speak to the branch manager (BM). I told the BM what had transpired, and told him that it was bad customer service on the SM's part to not give me a call. The BM said that I had been scheduled for that Monday, and someone would be out in an hour or so. It would have been nice to be notified about that! The two-person crew came, looked at where the yellow jackets were getting in, didn't get on a ladder, eyeballed spraying the dust stuff, and said they should be gone in about 4 days. I was told either he (team leader?), or the SM would call to check in a few days. Guess what? You're right--no call. In the meantime, the yellow jackets are getting worse, we can now hear them in our wall, and they're continuing to get loose in our house. So yesterday (Aug. 21), I called the office again, and I was livid. Cut to the chase--I cancelled our service agreement, called another company (locally owned), they arrived today, and guess what? They did the job properly, and the yellow jackets are dying off. Would I recommend Orkin? Not on your life. read more

Definitely wouldn't recommend these people. I've had them come to my house twice now to treat carpenter ants and the small black ones. They first sprayed the base boards of every room including my 2 year olds room where his toys are(we all know how everything goes in their mouth at that age) We only needed the living room the 2 bathrooms and the kitchen mind you. 2nd time they came they put the gel bait which only seemed to attract more. They are worse then before they "treated". Both me and my kid have been bit by these ants now. Definitely calling and getting a refund and canceling my service with them tomorrow. read more

Orkin has done a wonderful job for us for many years. Out latest technician, Mike, has helped us for probably five years and never lets us down. If there is a problem after service, he returns immediately. That has been the pattern for at least the last 15 years as we combat carpenter ants, etc. I recommend them highly. read more

I called to have them come out & assess a mouse problem we realized we had. Over the phone, I was told I had to sign a 1yr contract before anything was to be done. Contract was for bugs & the mouse problem. Thought the steep price or $65 per month would mean they actually came each month to spray inside & out for bugs & check the mouse bait traps. Tech came out, looked around, sprayed for bugs, set out some mouse bait traps inside & outside of the house. Let us know we had some holes that needed to be patched up to help with the mice. Said he would do it at a later time. Never followed up. What I thought was a monthly service was in fact every other month, & even then sometimes the guy said he was coming & said he sprayed outside, when in fact I watched him from my house just sit in his vehicle, never getting out. The mouse issue was NEVER addressed. I could've saved so much money by just doing this myself. Orkin is a joke & a scam. I would have left zero stars if possible. read more
