Boars head cold cuts!!!
Ang A.

This place is one of the best deli on Long Island. I do not know a person who doesn't love this place. Growing up in Ronkonkoma and at the lake this place is the stop spot on the way home. My mom makes the best potato salad but her go to is Lakomas potato salad when she's not making her own. Today (I haven't been there in about 3 years) I walked in for a NY DELI breakfast egg sandwich. These are the adjectives I'm choosing FOODNOMENAL, DELICIOUS, HOMEMADE & FANTASTIC GUESS WHAT? THEY SERVE IT (breakfast) ALL DAY!! WUT WUT ?? I even went out & had them add lettuce to throw a spin crunch on the awesome eggslut sandwich Don't give me hater sauce fellow NY'ers I selfied and showed some friends & all they said was, "DUDE!!! YOU ADDED LETTUCE TO AN EGG SANDWICH AND ARE NOW AN OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES WEIRDO." LOL I guess that got me in the club although I take full responsibility for my weirdness by being raised in the 80's-90's. Lakoma Deli Go Order breakfast all day get potato salad AND BOARS HEAD COLD CUTS GOD, I miss the Ny Delis scene & this is a reminder of how good a NY deli can be. Enjoy the photos. Next time I'm in town in gonna make sure I stop in every morning for breakfast!!

such a disappointment, going down hill. Request for over easy eggs? They come fried. Hungry man hero no ham?

My cheat meal, what a waste! Request over easy eggs you get fried! Hungry man hero with no ham, hero looked like it was shoved in a closet. Burnt bacon! Third time they have disappointed me! I'm giving it one more shot and then they are losing a loyal customer! What a shame, the ladies that work the front end are always very nice that's the only good thing I can say right now

The Lakoma deli has been around since the last hooray of the good old days when Lake Ronkonkoma was a destination and a resort town, it definitely maintains this feeling of yesteryear when you walk in. I often feel like I've walked into 1982 when I go in there, yet we are far removed from then. The deli itself is not much to speak of, it's big and sparsely stocked, I'm guessing in the past it stocked groceries and stuff, now it's just a deli. I've read others reviews on here and while I can sort of see their complaints, I have to say to be fair, I've had pretty much good experiences here. But I can only speak to what I've sampled so far, first off... It's convenient, it's close to home, they do make good egg sandwiches and from the few lunch sampling's I've tried I've found them standard good deli food. The Long Island deli is slipping away into history, being replaced by over priced gourmet delis or cafes, so to sit and nitpick about a standard deli is counterproductive. It serves its purpose, it's portions are fair, the sandwiches are well made, the iced tea is good (served in the proper cups) the women serving behind the counter are kind and friendly, the prices? Well that's where you can get jammed up! I ordered the big container of Mac and cheese (which wasn't all that) and a sandwich plus drinks and the bill was like over $30 and I was like what??? Turns out big portions are expensive by the pound (my own fault for not paying attention to price) but I will say look at the specials because I got a fried chicken cutlet, mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese, buttered roll plus a $3 iced tea for under $11 bucks! Overall I'd rate this place 4 fair stars

Roast beef, fried eggs with muenster cheese, sautéed onions.

Great food. Old style German deli with homemade salads instead of the garbage that comes in pails

I use to go here as a kid, if it wasn't for that I'd given it a even lower star count. Bland with a side of boring ...

This place used to be good years ago. The food is not good and its way overpriced. I'll pass on this deli next time I'm in the area

This was once the best deli in Ronkonkoma. Don't know what happened but it no longer is. Beware!

The sausage & egg were not large enough for the bagel. This was also one of the more expensive bagel sandwiches I've bought in the area and I don't think the quality matches the price. The place also felt messy and unclean. Maybe the quality and cleanliness would have been better if I got food first thing in the morning, but I don't think I'll be heading back here anytime soon given the other options in the area.

So I made my way over there to try em out. Long Island really rapes you on a bacon egg and cheese, or at least this crap-hole does. Paid something close to $9 and it was god awful. I have a hard time believing this ever could have been good. I see 80-90% of the pix on here are from one dude three years ago, some look good n all, but this place is anything but. Hard pass. Signed - a guy struggling with living on Long Island again.

Outdated, stingy with products and i have never been greeted once out of all the times i went there even when it's empty. It's the least of my worries bc I just want the food anyway, but its still important for running a successful business so I just think its strange. The least you can do to someone contributing to your business, is a simple hello. My last order was paying for a egg sandwich with one slice of meat that was cut in half to cover the bread lol. Cheap with product & unfriendly. Charge more if you need too, no need to sell sandwiches at that level. I pay $ to eat what I want, deliver that at LEAST. It is a shame bc they can do great things with this location and they run it bare minimum.

Don't have a disability or an emotional problem because she will belittle you if you don't place your order the way she'd like you to and don't speak up quite the way she likes. We ordered a French dip hero with dressing on the side, which they have posted in the board. I walked out with cold roast beef on a roll, no mozzarella. My kid ordered a fried chicken sandwich, with no Mayo with pickles. He has to list to her all the toppings like it's not on the board. Mistakes happen but customer service, nah!!! No excuses!!! Don't take your bad day out on me. Don't like your job?! Change professions. Rude and unbelievably nasty. Last time I was there it was okay, this time leaves no room for a third!! I had to wait in the car because I can't afford bail after the $39 bill for those sandwiches on a roll, / drinks, and 2 pastries!!!
