We wanted easy Chinese food and chose this place because it was close. The reviews weren't great, but we decided to try it regardless. We ordered the sesame chicken, egg rolls and mu shi with pork. Ordering online was simple and food was ready fast. While dine in was available, this seems to be more of a takeout place. The food was good. Sauces were tasty and food was cooked well. It's a good place to go for your run if the mill Chinese food. I would order again, but aren't jonesing to go back. It was perfectly fine. read more

This meal was the most disappointing dining experience I can recall as the food was unpalatable and had to be thrown away--an appalling waste of $56, including delivery fees, tax, and tip. It's profoundly upsetting and discouraging to pay that much only to receive food this inedible. I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for your meal. Two of our usual Chinese food restaurants offering delivery were closed (??) on Tuesday. We placed an online delivery of often-ordered Egg Rolls, Chicken Corn Soup, Moo Goo Gai Pan, and ventured to try Beef Chow Fun. There wasn't a description offered of the Chow Fun, but according to Google, it is a dish described as wide, flat rice noodles without vegetables. The Egg Rolls were greasy, with a soggy, uninspired vegetable filling, while the Chicken Corn Soup, despite plenty of corn kernels and egg bits, was surprisingly bland; both sweetness and bits of chicken were missing. These appetizers set a disappointing standard, highlighting the poor quality and lack of flavor that defined the entire meal. Unfortunately, the entrees did not improve matters. The major disappointment was the entrees. There was not a single container of rice. The Moo Goo Gai Pan arrived swimming in a white sauce, accompanied by the standard chicken slices, water chestnuts, mushrooms, and snow peas, along with surprises of zucchini, broccoli, and chewy geriatric diced "baby corn." While Moo Goo Gai Pan is supposed to taste subtle, this version lacked even basic flavor. Most upsetting, the Beef Chow Fun contained no visible rice noodles--just lots of beef and something gummy, perhaps meant to be noodles. I went to this restaurant to pick up my food . The lady working at front desk was really rude and unprofessional. She was talking to me I like I work for the restaurant or I am their employee. I can't believe people actually eat here more than once. The food was lousy at best. The fried rice looks like it had some soy sauce thrown on it, all the meats looked boiled and didn't have any seasoning at all. The noodles were over cooked and I was lucky if I could find two noodles that were long enough to hold with chopsticks. Oh so good. After running some errands with mom, this was the prefect choice for some lunch. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Chicken Corn Soup- excellent way to start the meal. Nice and fulfilling. Mongolian Chicken- Great flavorful entree which comes with white rice. Beef Lo Mein- Great choice of noodles with thinly cut beef strips. My mom isn't eating spicy food anymore so I didn't order anything spicy. It was just nicely seasoned and flavorful. But it was nice they had some spices and sauces on the tables to make the meal more spicy if you wanted it to be. This restaurant does a lot of pick up and delivery orders, but they had decent amount of tables. It was so close to my parents' house that we did dine in. Had a busy day so we couldn't cook today. Decided to get Chinese and stumbled upon this place. We ordered the General Tso's Chicken, Combination lo mein, and Chicken with mixed veggies. I'll have to day I was delighted. The food was fresh and tasty! It may be one of the better general tso's chicken I've had in a long time. The chicken with mixed veggies had a nice balance between protein and veggies. The brown sauce was great. The lo mein had a curry flavor and was a bit dry. Man, don't be discouraged by the empty lot and lack of cars. This place is good and worth it. To be Honest for Take OUT is the way. We ordered this for our Christmas Eve dinner. It arrived warm, but that is pretty much the only good thing I can say about this meal. Crispy beef was EXTREMELY spicy. Lamb dumplings were repulsive. Egg rolls were ok, not great. Egg foo young gravy was gelatinous. Fried rice was ok, not great. Duncan noodles lacked flavor. General Taos, no one liked either. I read the reviews and took the chance of just going in and ordering food to go. I came at a great time as it was not too crowded. Placed my order and was greeted nicely; and just minutes later - order was ready. Service was great and the food including portion was just right. Not sure this restaurant is set up for dining in. They seemed surprised when I took off my coat and sat down. I asked for some hot tea while I browsed the menu, but was told it was not available. I then asked for a glass of water, but was told that could not be provided either - I would need to purchase a bottle of water in a single use plastic bottle (I suppose I should have brought my own water...) I ordered the eggplant with garlic sauce and a bowl of hot and sour soup. The soup was quite good. I was served broccoli with garlic sauce, which was OK, but I really wanted the eggplant. I decided not to send it back, as the food was almost certainly just go to the landfill. One other family came in to dine while I was there, but the flow of food delivery drivers was nonstop during my time there. I have to say that the plate used to serve the broccoli was the most chintzy plate I have ever seen in a restaurant and the napkins on the table were no better - they really don't seem very interested in providing a good dining experience at the restaurant - probably best to just use these folks for delivery. If I could, would give negative rating. Hospitality is missing from this restaurant. Today, placed ordered at 6 pm, arrived to pick up order at 6:45 pm and still lady had no idea of the order. It was the theme of the day as looked like other customers waiting in line for as much long. I saw the lady at register handling 10 different tasks and not attending the customers at the register. The chicken was excellent, the coating was very airy and crispy and paired well with the sauce. Overall this place has that classic chinese takeout flavor. Had a terrible experience last night 05/10/2020, just pure bad customer service. I placed my order online at 5.45pm to be picked at 7.45pm. I show up at 7.45pm only to be told that they are running behind and it would take another hour to prepare. Along with me there were several other clients being told the same thing. Any how I told the front desk person that I will be back in an hour and verbally confirmed my phone and order and left. I return back at 8.45 only to find the lights of the restaurant dim and the last of the cooks walking out . I walk up to the same front desk guy and this time he tells me his cooks walked out on him during service as they could not fulfill orders so they decided to shut down for the night. So he was sorry ...... I asked him why he did not call and inform me at least save me the trip back and he said he did not know my order. I think that this was an epic fail on the businesses part . This is probably one of the best Chinese food in the area. We were seated immediately. Our server was friendly but he forgot serving us water & napkins until we asked. However, you can't expect an high end service at this price point. If you focus on the good, you will leave satisfied & happy. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered hot n sour soup, combination curry fried rice, crispy beef, Hunan shrimps, and Hunan chicken. Everything had a great flavor but crispy beef stole the show. This place is perfect for family and for couples. The environment is casual yet extremely friendly. The food is cooked to perfection. Service is professional and quick. My only suggestion for the owner is to please place a space heater by the entrance during cold weather so that when guests are entering or exiting the cold air from outside is not disrupting your guests who are in the middle of eating. Even though it looks lifeless from the outside because of the empty parking lot, its certainly a restaurant inside. Our orders were taken and prepared quickly, and the food's quality was still very good even though we only waited a short time. As for the food, we ordered the chili chicken and the sesame chicken which was very good. The portions were very good and we even got some to take back home with us after getting full. The chili chicken has a more savory taste which wasn't quite my style but my brother enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the server came off as a bit rude to my family. read more

New Owners/Management perhaps?!?! What can I say?!! No matter the reason for semi-okay reviews from people before; it's delicious. The second we went in, I was greeted, handed a menu, and asked to sit. The wait for the food wasn't very long and the waitress came over rather quickly. She was super efficient and polite. Granted, the restaurant wasn't crowded but, it should be! On our table: Thai Fried Rice (w/o pineapples & cashews) - this was amazing. The flavor with the Thai sweet basil was delicious. The chicken was super juicy and tender and the fried onions were a nice touch. The spice level is next to nothing for me but, still super tasty. Egg Drop Soup - this was excellent. A nice consistency, good taste, not too much salt, not too little salt. Super hot when it comes out so be careful! Came with a little baggie of fried noodles. (I tend to dip those in Chinese mustard.) Chicken wings - crispy, juicy, and delicious! They didn't have that weird chicken smell you can get from some places. They were hot (temperature wise) and not super salty. Pair it with the little packets of Yi Pin hot sauce and you're golden. For the New York/ Jersey transplants my husband and I are, this is a welcomed Chinese/fusion restaurant. You really need to go here. Don't be put off by the slightly empty parking lot here. Calling the store to ask if my food is ready the lady asked me to hold for 15 minutes and talking to a man with very high volume. I hung up and went to get my order. I told me name and she was not giving me my order. I told what I ordered she still not giving me my order. I told her how much I paid she still not giving it me. She asked me to show my phone order. Hooray for a new Chinese restaurant my family likes! Some friends of ours from church recommended we give Hunan Village a try. It's a small place, but very nice, new, and clean. There is a sign in the window that says "No MSG Added" which is a big selling point for me because MSG gives me terrible headaches. Just about anytime we go to a Chinese restaurant, I always order the General Tso's Chicken. The General Tso's here was pretty good - not like to die-for-delicious, but enjoyable and especially because I didn't have a monster headache the next day. Plus, my kids even liked it! Both my 6 and 8 year old had seconds of the General Tsos. My wife always gets crab rangoon wherever we go, and she said the crab rangoon here at Hunan was really good / above average. I'm not generally a fan of sweet-and-sour chicken, but since my boys ate my General Tso's, I ended up with some of their sweet and sour chicken, and I actually enjoyed it. We took our food to-go, so I can't rate the service in the restaurant. The prices and portions were reasonable, though. Now that we've found a local Chinese place that didn't knock me out with a headache, I know we'll be going back to Hunan Village. read more
