They performed a thorough diagnostic, clearly explained the issue, and gave me excellent recommendations on the best next steps. They also allowed me to safely store my vehicle at their shop until I could arrange to have it towed back to California, which took a huge amount of stress off my shoulders. We needed a Valve stem replacement. Our first stop was J & M tires , we needed a valve stem with a sensor ! The person working said he didn't have a valve stem with a sensor. J and M tires have awful service !! At this point all we want to do is change the valve stem . The person at J&M tire never stepped outside of his business to see what we needed. While on short trip to Parker, AZ from Los Angles our engine started acting funny as we arrived in Parker. I knew something was wrong as it didn't feel right. Called Lalos After Hours Repair shop and said bring it in we will take a look. Turns out one of my fuel injectors was not working. Letty was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the particular engine my car has. I was looking at over 2k to tow it back to LA but after determining what was wrong, they said they can fix the problem and have it ready the next morning, I didn't hesitate and ask they fix the problem. Came out to meet friends and hit the river for the weekend. Noticed I suffered a pretty bad oil leak at some point during my short trip. Was able to find Lalo's shop which is "in town" and on a late Saturday morning they pulled my 4Runner in within like 20 minutes and had the dipsticks o-ring (it was trash since its a 96) and had it ready for pickup within just a couple hours while we ran some errands and grabbed brunch. It was 114 degrees on a Thursday evening when our air conditioner crapped out. We needed to leave the river on Saturday morning early, so we figured we were in for a long, hot drive home to Prescott and weeks until our shop at home to get it fixed. Our neighbor raved about Lalo so we gave them a random call. It was 5:30 pm and they said bring it up right now. Five minutes after we arrived, Lalo said it was the clurch on the compressor was shot and we needed a new one. To our amazement, he said they could have a compressor delivered from Vegas overnight and they could fix it first thing the next morning. Long story short...by noon the next day the compressor was replaced and the 115 degree heat that settled in was no match for the new a/c compressor. Cold AF! BTW...checked with my shop in Prescott and they quoted me $1,000 more than Lalo for a job 2+ weeks away. From now on, if my cars need work and I can get to the river, Lalo's has got the job. In fact, I am headed to Parker to work on my river home tomorrow and get the oil changed with Lalo's on my Mercedes Sprinter Motorhome. Very Happy! Very Satisfied! read more
