I've always left with some fun piece of jewelry that I felt was unique and priced well. The last time I went in April 2026 I had a significantly different experience. From the time that I entered the store the woman at the glass counter was quite aggressive and literally would not let me look at the items in the case without hovering over me. The store is quite small. Even when I went to each side of the case, she moved right along with me. It was quite rude. I actually couldn't shop the way that I really want it to because she was hovering so much It was distracting. I told her that I was visiting from California and had been there several times and enjoyed it previously. I also told her that I always recommend the store to people who asked me for recommendations for things that they should do or see when they go to New Orleans. I shared with her that the last time that I was in town My daughter and I bought matching mother/daughter rings from the store and several other items in hopes that she would understand that I'm a return customer and back off of me. I also told her that I was with a group of people and although I had stopped in alone , they were expected to follow soon. She remained rude and condescending asking me where are these people that I was with, if I was with such a big group. At that very moment I quietly texted my husband and told him to please join me right away because I didn't know why the female clerk was hostile in her behavior towards me. In the meantime I also group texted my friends and told them don't bother to come, instead I would meet them at the cafe down the street when I was done. In the end I was very disappointed because I had previously had nothing but good experiences there. Unfortunately this experience left me a bad taste in my mouth. The store is cute but it's certainly isn't the biggest nor the best that I've ever seen. It certainly wasn't worth the the bother. There are just too many other places to shop that are welcoming and warm, especially in New Orleans.

I selected this store because of its outstanding reputation and reviews. I trusted the store would provide competitive prices. I was wrong. Furthermore I was not told of the 'All Sales Are Final' policy until after the purchase. No signs are posted. I learned of the policy once the sale was complete. It's written on the bottom of the receipt. Fortunately the owner was agreeable to a full refund. Be aware that when you shop here the prices are twice as high as online. I understand brick and mortar stores have additional expenses but 100% up charge is excessive as I see it.

We had discussed wanting to avoid getting "cookie cutter" rings as we wanted to go unique or art deco. We walked past the outside of their store and had to walk in. We were greeted by Effy and automatically fell in love with his charm and character. My girlfriend of 3 years at the time automatically spotted a ring that she fell in love with and I spotted mine right after. Effy said that he could easily re-size them for us and that they were having a sale. The ring my girlfriend picked out was the art deco style she was looking for and mine was a unique shape with almost a "triangual" shape on the top with 5 large diamons in the center and a solid band on the bottom. It needed to be sized down quite a bit, but it was not an issue. He said he could get them done that evening and to us the next morning. My girlriend was elated! We picked up our rings the next morning with a text message sent promptly at 10AM and I ran down to the shop and slid my ring on with a perfect fit. All polished and looking fantastic. Couldn't be happier. We still love our rings even to this day. Effy's wife is such a sweetheart and the heart of that store. They make such a beautiful couple and make you feel at home. We have never been to New Orleans before, but we are so glad that we stopped in and made some new family/friends. We will definitely be back for some more jewelry and even just to say hi. She was very easy to work with and listened to what I liked. She was able to get them to modify the 4 prong setting to a 6 prong setting for the item I selected. Everything was NO PROBLEM.
