He SUPER down to earth and does a thorough physical exam. I have been suffering from thyroid symptoms for about 4 years. Been to several doctors and none of them could help me. My symptoms got to a point where I thought I was dying. Was having heart palpitations, EXTREME hair loss, excessive fatigue, random sore spots and bruises on my body, vision issues, rapid weight gain, anxiety off the charts (couldn't get more than 4 hours of sleep to save my life)- you name it. None of the prior doctors could tell me what was happening. And after a while, I believe that they started to disregard my complaints- EVEN after I did my research and TOLD them what I thought was going on. Dr. Launius LISTENED to me- and for the first time in years I didn't feel like the doctor thought I was crazy. After he completed the physical exam- he pretty much assured me the help that I needed. He also said that he would get my hair to stop falling out (as it was falling out by the handfuls- and was so bad, that for a moment, I actually thought that I might have had cancer). I know- an ignorant thought, but paired with the way that I was feeling in addition to the hair loss- that is the mindset that I was in. THE NEXT DAY... his team called me with the results. Sure enough, my levels were low. I got the prescription and was felling better by the end of the first month. Dropped 10 pounds almost immediately. I'm currently in month two- and guess what? For the first time in 4 years, I was able to comb out and wash my hair without any of it coming out. I'm ecstatic! I know hair seems like a small vain thing to most people, but when you start to lose it, it really messes with your confidence. My hair is pretty thin now, and is way shorter than it was 4 years ago- but at least I can now see light at the end of the tunnel. I'm excited for progress and my new hair journey. To top it all off, I feel great. I've never appreciated my health more than I do now. I'm so thankful to have run across Dr. Lanius- a REAL health professional. Just referred my mom and best friend who are having many of the same symptoms. If you are possibly experiencing issues with your thyroid, PLEASE.. go see Dr. Lanius. I've never wanted to leave a place so fast in my life. I don't even know the doctor who saw me…read morebecause he didn't give me his name. Isn't that insane? No introduction. He could have been a random guy off the street for all he acted like a doctor. I came in due to unexplained bleeding after a week of immense pain and arm numbness. I had surgery for endometriosis and fibroids eight weeks ago. The treatment I received was abysmal. Some highlights -- "I'm worried about the bleeding, I know the pain in my back may be normal due to my illness. I just want to make sure I'm not having a stroke or anything." "You can't have a stroke in your lower abdomen." "What pain meds are you taking?" "I've been taking both Tylenol and Ibuprofen every two hours because I'm in so much pain." "You should try Aleve." Woah, no way? Aleve? Hold the phone. I never thought of that. Then he gives me a paper that says not to take Aleve because it'll cause me to bleed more. Uh oh. And a paper to explain what a painful heavy period is! To someone with a chronic reproductive disease. I still can't decide what part of this visit was the most disrespectful or condescending. It's a hard one. He looked at my surgical scars at one point, asked if I had a fibroid removed like he didn't believe me, and then stated that typically fibroids are removed from a larger incision. I was told he can't support or help with anything gyno related, but somehow he's an expert on laparoscopies and thinks he can criticize my surgeons work when he didn't even listen to a single thing I'd said to him since I'd been there. Did he think I was lying about getting a fibroid removed? Probably. They took my blood pressure multiple times and I, a healthy individual ACCORDING TO HIM, could not get Systolic pressure under 155. When I got there ONE SEVENTY FIVE. A cardiac episode is 180. He told me it's probably the pain. Wait, so the Aleve I took this morning isn't working? What? You said that should help. Why is my arm numb from my shoulder to my fingers? Who knows. Obviously not him. I think his excuse was that I laid on it wrong. Why has it been hurting since Friday night? A medical mystery. My insurance is paying thousands of dollars so Sherlock Holmes can tell me I laid on my arm wrong. I finally gave up trying to advocate for myself and just agreed with him so I could go home. I got no answers for my pain or my bleeding. He thinks I'm fine! So healthy. I can't believe my insurance is going to have to pay for this. The only reason I got meds in IV for my pain while I was waiting for my blood work was because I cried in front of my nurse and he advocated for me. I was the only person there at 4:30am this morning and seriously you would think I was one of 100 in that ER with how I was treated. I had to get up to go the bathroom and wouldn't you know, he was standing around doing absolutely nothing. The only person who cared about me was my nurse. Strangers that hold the door open for me in public show me better care, respect, and compassion than this DOCTOR who literally gets paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to do care for people in their time of need. Like what a spit in the face. And for what? I just wanted help. If I have a cardiac event or god forbid a stroke between now and Monday when I see my general doctor, I will find this hospital at fault. I am still not over how even an EKG wasn't even at least offered. That's standard practice with symptoms I displayed. Thankfully tomorrow is Monday so I can actually go to my general doctor that cares if I live or die. My discharge instruction was to lose weight. :) pain? No you're just a fat pig. EDIT FOR STAFF WHO READ THIS - If you are not the doctor who talked to me like a dog than don't apologize for him please. I don't want an apology, you've done nothing wrong. The rest of your staff was amazing. Either fire him or teach him social skills so he doesn't make another woman cry. To my nurse and the front desk gentleman if you read this, thank you for your kindness. I needed that to offset the ugliness.

This place is the absolute worst. A friend referred me here, but I wasn't able to see the doctor…read morehe's been seeing for years. I agreed to see one of the nurse practitioners and paid the higher fee for my first visit. She was not able to advise me on anything during that visit as she didn't have my bloodwork results yet. I have not been able to communicate with her at all about prescriptions since having my bloodwork run. The doctors do not communicate with patients through clinic's messaging system, unlike many other clinics. Messages are only responded to by the assistants. After much back and forth due to this, it has been almost two months without one of my agreed upon prescriptions being filled. One of my other prescriptions was incorrectly filled. After multiple calls and messages with assistants that were just following a script, the office manager called and insisted that it had been filled correctly and told me to go to CVS to handle it with them. The CVS pharmacist showed me how it was sent in and explained how it was done incorrectly. She tried to call the clinic but only only got the AI system. I have made more calls and sent messages since then. Today the office manager again called and insisted that the prescription was filled correctly, complete with a bad attitude as usual. She then told me I'm being fired as a patient. This is how they deal with their incompetence. This the worst run clinic I have ever dealt with.

The room with the MRI machine is beautifully decorated makes you feel like you are in a vineyard. I listened to some country music while my images were being taken. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I'm glad my experience was pleasant.
